Mycket bra, även om vi inte vistades så mycket på hotellet.

Utmärkt hotel med bra läge och trevlig personal och en fin frukost. Enda negativa var att sängramarna i trä var obekväma då madrassen låg för långt ner i denna ram.

Hotell med perfekt läge centralt i Hamburg. Trevlig personal. Fantastisk frukostbuffé där grapefrukthalvorna t o m hade förutskurna klyftor. Bekvämt dubbelrum med lätt bedagad charm. Rent och fräscht.

Klockrent hotell. Extremt bra läge för besök till spielbank Hamburg. Fin frukost också.

Mycket vänlig och artig betjäning, bra läge - nära shopping, restauranger, kommunikationer och den underbara parken Planten un Blumen. Även bra frukost med mycket frukt och bär.

Ett trevligt mindre mellanklasshotell med rejäl frukost samt belägget i en trevlig o central del av hamburg

Ett trevligt familjärt hotell med nära till shopping distrikt samt till Operan. Flera restauranger ligger alldeles i närheten av hotellet Ett trevligt bemötande från hotellets personal kännetecknar detta hotell Ett prisvärt hotell.

Ett enkelt, trevligt och rent hotell i centrala Hamburg. Betydligt bättre än de flesta hotellen runt Hamburgs centralstation och dessutom till mindre än halva priset! Utmärkt frukostbuffé med mycket frukt ingår i rumspriset. Klart prisvärt både för affärsresenär som kan avstå från 24 timmars rumsbetjäning och för turister. My son and went to Hamburg to watch the Europe League final. We had a great time in Hamburg, where we stayed two nights at Alster Hof. The hotel i really good, why we highly recommend it. Good value for money! Breakfast was very good.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well furnished. The hotel was nicely positioned for the shops, restaurants, and the lake. The variety available for breakfast was slightly less than we had come to expect from German hotels but was still fine to start the day on.

we were very pleased with the hotel. it was perfect for our short city break and catered well for our needs travelling with our teenage daughter. Headline says it all. Very typical high quality German standards family like hotel. Not a big chain or luxury hotel, a little off the beaten path (in a good way) but a very short easy walk to the lakes, shopping, luxury hotels, restaurants, historic sites, etc. U1 metro is steps away for direct link to main rail station and one change to airport. Not […] at all seedy area like near the train station or St Pauli, where better value accommodations are more abundant. Double decker hop on/off city tour bus stop (every 15 minutes) is next door. Unadvertised is hotel "gym", which is really only three cardio machines in good shape. Only area I was displeased with is no free WiFi anywhere in hotel. In-room WiFi is available for 4.50 Euros per hour through T-Mobile (or possibly free with T-Mobile user account). Free WiFi seems to be rare in Hamburg unless you find a Starbucks (and there are several nearby.) There is a free Internet PC in the lobby for guests' use and the wait for using it was rarely more than five minutes. I definitely would consider staying here again, but not go out of my way if the price were not equaivalent to others in area. Läs mer

The Hotel Alster Hof is in a very convenient location with many nice restaurants just around the corner. Hotel staff very helpful, I left my camera in the restaurant and we had already checked out of the hotel but the receptionist called them and got it back for me. Hotel was great, rooms were fine for what we needed, decent shower. Breakfast was lovely and the location was great, right outside the u-bahn station, near the park and not far to walk in to the centre, will definately stay there again on a return visit to Hamburg.

The room was excellent and location was fantastic. Breakfast was hearty and wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

A really friendly, clean hotel in the perfect location for a visit to the Staatsoper. 50 metres from the underground which connects to the airport and the rest of the city and easy walking to the centre. Highly recommended.

Location was good but on a noisy street made sleeping hard with the window open (needed the window open to cool the room)

Nice hotel in excellent location. I have stayed in many hotels in Hamburg and this was probably the best combination of area / local facilities / transport. I will certainly book again. Dont let the 3 stars fool you, If this hotel had a restaurant it would certainly be at least 4 star. I'd return to this place but ONLY IF I got a room not facing the back street (almost an alley) where street sweepers and trash collectors start their noisy work at around 6 AM every day. It's well located for those attending a conference at the Congress Center Hamburg... and it's an easy U-Bahn ride from the airport to a nearby station, precluding […] the need to pay 10X more for a taxi. Friendly and helpful staff at check in.I was in my room within minutes of arrival.Hotel was quiet and clean and room was comfortable.Great location for getting to Hauptbahnhof {10 min walk}City easily accessed from here and very reasonable rates.

I was only in Hamburg for one night but this hotel was in a lovely neighborhood, had excellent service, and made my brief stay very enjoyable.

I would reccomend this hotel with some reservations, apart from the issue of the receptionist, we were given an spaciuos room located almost underground, very dark and looking to an interior patio. I stayed in a single room at the hotel. Room had a comfortable bed, desk, small wardrobe and lcd tv, but looks a little dated. There was a small en suite shower room also (no bath). My room was quite long but fairly narrow and at the front of the buidling. If you are light sleeper, then try not to take a room at the front. Noise is of continuous traffic. […] and quite noticable despite double glazing There is no air conditioning in the room and in the summer I imagine it can get very warm. Breakfast was served in a nice big clean modern breakfast room had a good choice of fresh fruit (strawberries, melon), breads with meat, cereal, bacon eggs and is self service, buffet type. The only wi-fi I could pick up on my laptop, was T-mobile, which you can use at €8 per hour! There is one computer as you enter the bar area, that you can use free for internet though - if you can get on it! There is a gym and I believe also a sauna, however, I did not investigate these areas. Overall - fairly good value as price included breakfast, though room nothing special. Läs mer

Besides the bed that was not built for tall people the room was tidy and pleasent, the hotel is situated in the heart of the city, in the main tourist area, breakfast was good and all was in a very decent price. I would go there again, should I stay in Humburg.

We stayed in five different cities during our two weeks in Germany and this was the breakfast with the most choices and freshist food. Great location being half a block from u-bahn,movie theatre and the big casino. The double decker tour buses stop near the front of the hotel. Free computer to use in the lobby. There is no parking in the hotel and the […] nearest garage is 16E but there is free parking on the street at night until 8AM and then 2E per hour meters. The double rooms are large but I was given a room in the back that is extremely noisy(garbage trucks real early) but the staff was pleasant and changed my room. My suggestion to management is to put a ramp in front of the hotel so people don't have to carry their suitcase up the few steps from the street. Läs mer

I stayed with my son on the evening of the Europa League final. The hotel was conveniently located close to the u-bahn and the bus routes (bus 112 is a must!). Breakfast was plentiful and we both enjoyed the quality. A few minutesaway down the road is the Hofbrauhouse, excellent for a night cap or yet more German sausage! Første anviste værelse ikke tilfredsstillende, fik herefter mulighed for at se et andet værelse, det var rigtig fint, så det fik vi. Havde i jeres oplysninger læst at morgenmaden svarede til et 5 stjernet, det kunne absolut ikke genkendes.

Sentral beliggenhet, kort vei til butikker Innenalster og Restauranter

Hotel ligger på en trafikkeret vej (indre ring) med en del støj, men tilgengæld kun 50 m til den nærmeste gågade som forbinder hotel med selve centrum i kort gå afstand. Parkeringmulighederne er dyre og mindre gode ved hotel. Hotel anbefaler P-hus til 20 euro i døgn, men ved at parkere på den anden side af ringen ca 10 min gang fra hotel i et pænt […] boligkvarter, er det ganske gratis. Perfekt morgen mad og venligt personale. Hotel som jeg absolut vil benytte igen, hvis min vej falder forbi Hamburg. Läs mer

Vejbeliggende pænt mellemklassehotel, tæt på alting. Vi havde et pænt, men ret spartansk værelse, med en meget trist udsigt til en baggård. Bortset fra det god service, flot morgenmadsbuffet Hotellets velkomstmappe levede ikke på alle områder op til virkeligheden, men alt i alt en positiv oplevelse, og jeg ville ikke være betænkelig ved at tage et værelse […] på Alster-Hof igen. Et dejlig hotel til prisen med super beliggenhed både i forhold til byens mange shoppingmuligheder, men også til løbetræning rundt om søerne. Super morgenmad med alt, hvad der hører sig til. Morgenmaden er inkl. hotelprisen - det er sjældent det er det. Parkering er ikke muligt ved hotellet, men 5 min. gang derfra ligger parkeringshus, hvor vi betalte […] 16 E pr. døgn, lidt dyrt men det er prisen i Hamburg. Die Parkmöglichkeiten am Hotel sind sehr begrenzt. Der Preis für eine Nacht im Parkhaus "Gänsemarkt" (5min. Fußweg) ist mit 16€ recht heftig.

Et behageligt hotel. Fin service, god morgenmad, den daglige rengøring i top, tæt på centrum og med gode spisesteder lige om hjørnet.
