Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal som ser efter ens bästa, de hjälpte oss skriva ut bussbiljetter, låta väskorna vara kvar efter att vi checkat ut, vi fick även själva va kvar där i många timmar efter utvecklingen och använda både köket, toaletterna och deras wi-fi som dessutom var gratis under hela vistelsen. De bjöd på te, kaffe, mjölk, kryddor och även lite tilltugg. Det kändes riktigt hemtrevligt, de höll alla allmänna ytor rena och fräscha (självklart får man ta hand om sin egen disk osv) toaletterna är stora och många, med tanke på antalet rum. Rummet i sig var inte så speciellt, men det fanns både fläkt och AC. Ligger väldigt centralt och vi hade utsikt över havet, självklart är det inte så i alla rum. För att vara ett Guest House och för de pengarna vi gav var det verkligen över förväntan! Rekommenderas starkt!

Spa p taket med stans bästa utsikt. Du ser bron, operan och hela city. Läget i The Rocks är perfekt med mysiga restauranger och små butiker.

Väldigt bra läge - ca 25 minuter promenad till operahuset mm och enkelt att ta buss/färja till stränder såsom Manly beach och Bondi beach. Delad toalett är absolut inget problem då både duschar och toaletter är fräsha.

Toppenläge och supertrevlig/hjälpsam personal. Ett stort minus dock är att frukosten INTE ingår, men det verkar vara så på alla hotell här nere, vi är ju vana att frukost ingår i priset, annars toppenbra..

"Hotel close to shopping"
We stayed at Metro Hotel Sydney Central for 6 nights in october 2011. The hotel is easy to reach from the airport. We took the train straight from the airport to Sydney central and walked for 5 minutes to the hotel. 50 metres from the hotel in Pitt Street you could buy tickets to a shuttlebus to the airport in a small supermarket.The tickets cost […] 12 dollars and the shuttle departed every 30 minutes. We never used subway or buses during our stay. We walked to all attractions and the map from the hotel was really easy to understand. The room was nice and contained refridgerator, waterheater, cofféecups and a flatscreen tv. The bed was really nice. The cleaning was not so good. They made the bed and changed the towels and the room smelled always really nice, but they never cleaned tables, shower or sink. The WiFi in the hotel room costed a fortune. There are 2 computers in the lobby- 4 dollars for 60 minutes use of internet. We never had the breakfast buffé because of the expensive cost of 15 dollar / person and day. We baught food from the supermarket or had the breakfast in a fantastic café 3 blocks from the hotel on Pitt Street. Recommended!! The pool on the roof does not look like the pictures. "What happened to the Metro!!!"
Stayed there once before in jan 2011 and had some trouble with spa not working but things were nice. What happend??? Hotel is now terrible. Service was embarrasing as i had recommended this hotel to my partners family and it was like an overpriced back packers accomodation. service was a 0 or -10 lol shocking. Rooms were badly in need of renovation. […] Taps falling off, map of australia chipped out in toilet lol. Paint peeling throughout room. Out-dated decor. Hotel was nice but the room was pretty sparse. There was an area by the window for a table and/or chair but nothing there. The only place to sit was the bed. Also, the carpet was full of stains and the pool area was closed but this was never mentioned prior to booking. Updating the rooms would be a good idea. Other than that it was a nice property. The hotel was in a pretty centrally located area. About a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour and right near World Square and the Central train station. The rooms were not as nice as expected for the price and this was kind of a let down. If you don't care about what the rooms look like, stay at a cheaper hotel.

We were able to check in early - which was fantastic. The manager who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. When we got to our room, the bathroom and the sink were unclean but we didn't have time to get upgraded or have time for them to come in and repeat the job as we were busy getting ready for a concert. I had stayed there previously so […] I was a little dissappointed that the premium twin room I had ordered for this trip as opposed to the twin room last time was on a lower floor and not as well maintained. Metro Hotel Sydney Central - The only incident was. somebody knocked and opened room door at 7.30am! He claimed, "he's from the hotel". When this was highlighted to reception, was told that guest need to put the "no disturb" sign at door...Sincerely hope that there are more security for guests. We were looking for an overnight hotel prior to boarding a plane to the U.S. the next day. Bed was rather uncomfortable and next day's breakfast adequate. If you are looking for one overnight, then the price is good and the location is fine.

The location is really convienice and close to everywhere. The hotel really needs a redecoration. The room I stayed is much worse than I thought, the tap in bathroom was leaking, no one can fix it. The smell in the room is terrible. The hotel staff are helpful.

This hotel was reasonably priced and the location was convenient to many downtown sites. Also, it was a good location for hopping on and off the buses to other parts of the city.
"The perfect location and great service"
Arriving at 8.30am without sleep the previous night, we were exahusted. All we wanted was to sleep. The wonderful staff at the reception desk put a rush on our room. We had a couple of the most comfortable and refreshing hours sleep before heading out to explore the fantastic location. It was great service, staff are very helpful,room was cleaned to good as we found a make up bag under one of the beds, we left it there.

The staff was very nice but the hotel needs a makeover. I did not think it was dirty but everything was so old it felt dingy. The bed was not great either as far as comfort. It was close to transit but otherwise I did not like the locations. There were very few places to eat and most would not accept a credit card unless you were spending at least $20 […] which can be tough, especially for breakfast. Läs mer
As a single I had to book the triple single bed room as it was only one available at the time.When I first arrived there was conditioner from the dispenser leaking into the bathtub with no body wash lotion left & extemeley poor water pressure in shower.The bed that I used was well damaged & had a lean to it,out of repect for House Keeping I only used […] the one bed.Walls seemed to only be for show as you could hear everything happening in the near vicinity,especially the loud slamming doors...Tip:to turn the in house air con unit off only insert your access card into power slot half way. I have a small business and therefore watch my accommodation budget pretty closely ... which means I have stayed in some ordinary hotels that looked way better on the internet than in real life. I am delighted to report that Metro Central is not one of those - it provides excellent vlaue for money. Rooms are clean,attractive, well presented and serviced […] daily. Service is great (I had a television problem that someone fixed within minutes). Breakfast is fresh and good. Its a shame the hotel doesn't have a restaurant (other than for bvreakfast) - but in reality there are probably 50 restaurants of all ethnicities, costs and styles within aboout 100 metres. I recently stayed in this hotel and I found the service very good! Our flight was early and they let us check in at 10am and into our room! The staff were efficient and helpful, the rooms were standard with no mini bar in the Lobby they have a mini bar and 7-11 around the corner. It is right in Chinatown which was fine and walking distance to most things! […] The taxi ride was a Bit dear although they have a shuttle service which takes about half hour and only $14. The buffet breakfast was average and the coffee is horrible :| but other than that fine! This hotel was very good for the price and I would recommend it. Läs mer
