Kan varmt rekomendera detta 5-stjärniga hotell i lugna och vackra Mayfair. Servicenivån var hög under hela vår vistelse. Dock hade något annat inte varit ok med tanke på kategori och pris. Alla anställda som vi kom i kontakt uppträdde ytterst korrekt, artigt och vänligt. Rummen vackert inredda och rymligt (Luxury-room). Stort bekvämt badrum. Trådlöst […] internet ingick i priset vilket var mycket bra. Enda negativa var frukosten som var hutlöst dyr i förhållande till vad som serverades. Som Svensk är det inte alltid som rökt lax, dessertostar, stekt svamp är det första man längtar efter på morgonen. Runt hotellet finns cafeér som serverar frukost, så hunrig lär man inte gå. Läs mer

Ett helt underbart hotel. Kan inte bli bättre och då har jag rest en hel del. Vid nästa besök i London kommer jag definitivt att boka på samma hotel. Ligger ca 100 meter fr närmsta tunnelbanan, Piccadilly Circus. Behöver för det mesta endast åka en eller två stationer för att komma till sevärdheter som är ett "måste" i London. Underbart hotell på bästa läge!! Superb service med trevligt bemötande från all personal. 1 min promenad till Picadilly. Vi hade det toppen! Det enda vi hade missförstått var att man endast hade tillgång till SPA-anläggningen med bubbelpool om man bokade en behandling. Men gymet var super! Vi spenderade torsdag-söndag på detta härliga hotell. Utmärkt läge, fina rum med sköna sängar och kuddmenyn var toppen. Hotellets personal var mycket hjälpsamma. Den enda negativa var att hotellfrukosten kostade alldeles för mycket!

Bättre läge finns inte. Två minuter till Piccadilly men ändå lugnt runt hotellet. Brasserie Roux serverade fantastiskt god och vällagad mat av uppmärksam personal=toppklass. Rummet var fint och sängarna sköna.

Hotellet är förmodligen vad man kan förvänta sig av ett 5-stjärnigt sådant. Upplevde personalen otroligt trevliga, tillmötesgående, välkomnande och serviceinriktade. Rummet fantastiskt fint och bra, läget på hotellet utmärkt med bara några hundra meter upp till Piccadilly Circus. Tyvärr ingick inte frukost i rumsbokningen. Sofitel i Mayfair har ett mycket bra läge ca 300 m från Piccadilly och de största shoppinggatorna. Väldigt fräscha rum, men kolla innan ni åker att ni får rökfritt rum då det inte garanteras vid bokning på Hotels.com även om det anges som önskemål. Rekommenderar frukostbuffén, mycket gott och fräscht . Bra service och trevlig bar för fördrink/afternoon […] tea. Även teatersupén var mycket prisvärd (köket öppet till 23). 3-rätters och champagen rekommenderas. Bodde tre nätter på detta hotell och alltifrån läget (ett par hundra meter från Piccadilly Circus) till standarden på själva hotellet till personalens hjälpsamhet och service höll högsta klass. Missa inte hotellets spa-avdelning! Man får tänka till ordentligt för att komma på något negativt överhuvudtaget och det enda jag kan komma på är att alarmet […] på klockradion i rummet inte var nollställt när vi anlände så den ringde kl 6 första morgonen... Litet och mysigt hotell med bra service och utmärkt läge. Spaavdelningen var fantastisk. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell. Bättre än Savoy och alla Hiltonhotell i London.

Perfect situated, close to theatres, shopping etc. Very nice rooms, and and kind and service minded and friendly staff. Overpriced breakfast (£25) is the only negative I can say about this very nice hotel.

Was staying at Sofitel with my daughter and her friend. The location is pefect for shopping and very close to Picadilly. Standard overall was superb and luxury. Service was topclass. Will definitely return to this hotel next time I'll be in London.

My daughter and I spent 3 lovely days in this hotel and were thrilled with our choice. The location was excellent for the two shows we attended... The Phantom of the Opera is on the same block and it took no time to walk back from The Royal Opera House. The delights of Trafalgar Sq., Whitehall, Buckingham Palace and lovely shopping areas are on the […] doorstep. The hotel staff has brought customer service to a new level which I have never experienced in my many years of travel. When was the last time you checked in to a hotel and the staff tells you to sit on a plush sofa while they bring your tropical juices and check you in while discussing all the surrounding attractions. All this followed by the front […] desk staff escorting you to your room and going over all the amenities. The location is perfectly situated so that in a short walk you can be in Soho, Buckingham palace, Big Ben or the eye. If you are interested in the afternoon tea, you ca expect to be soothed by a spectacular harpist who plays a beautiful melody to accompony your snack. All this and I have not yet touched on the spa, the chanpagne tasting bar or the Cocoa Channell inspired bar! Suffice it to say that my wife and I were completely blown away with the level of the property, service and overall friendliness of the staff. I rate this property the highest of the high. Läs mer

Quick check-in process. No noise during night hours despite of the location. Close to use Piccadilly line directly from Heathrow. Visiting the Hotel bar for a drink before going out a good alternative. However a bit slow making up the room in the evening but I guess this was a minor slip? The Sofitel location is excellent,, as affirmed volunarily by every cabby that dropped me off at the hotel. The restaurant and bar were exceptional, the staff friendly and accomodating, and the room was spacious and well appointed. Best luxury 5 Star in London

the staff is amazing, such willingness to help in any subject is excellent. Room was a bit small to our taste yet included all that is required. Theroom view was bad overlooking the back yard of he Hotel. the location is amazing, just between the Palace, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Square - we simly walked everywhere we needed.

The Hotel staff was excellent. Very helpful, very friendly. The bar and restaurant was also very good with excellent staff. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping staff very helpful. I would stay there again. It is a convenient location.

Among all the London hotels I have stayed in during my 4 visits in 2 years, Softiel London is the best and the most outstanding one in terms of location, convenience and comfort. All the staff are very helpful and polite, paying attention to the last detail, making our stay most satifying. this hotel is in absolutely the best part of London - St. James/Mayfair, right on the edge of St. James and Green Park, a very short walk (5 minutes) to Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street, surrounded by the finest art galleries (National Portrait, Royal Academy). Having done a lot of travelling and staying in top class hotels, I found the Sofitel St James was perfect for our 5 days in London. Great location about 200 metres from Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus and very close to the best shopping on Regent and Oxford Streets. St James Park, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park are an easy walk with Westminster […] Abbey also very close. Together with the best bed out of all hotel beds, very friendly and accommodating staff, i would recommend the Sofitel to everyone travelling to London - paying a bit more is well worth it. Läs mer

Our expectations of London hotels were previously very low indeed. However, this one turned out to be by far the best hotel of all that we stayed in during our European holiday. The price, like most London hotels, was high but this one delivered on quality. Highly recommended if you can afford it.

The hotel is in a great location, service was very good and room was very up to date, large and attractive. Everything was great I only wish the people in the room next door were more respectful, it was a loud family with children, they liked to yell a lot. Of course this was NOT the fault of the hotel. The Sofitel London St. James was an excellent home base in London. The location was great, near Buckingham Palace and a few blocks from Piccadilly Circus and its underground station. The rooms were large enough, not vast but comfortable, and the quality of furnishings and finishes were merely a step below Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton. The service was outstanding. […] Don't ask me how the front desk staff remembers your name each time you approach, but many of them did. Housekeeping was unobtrusive, thorough and prompt. The breakfast dining staff fell over themselves, very professional, to make sure we were happy. I wish I could remember the cost, but I don't. I recall that it's not cheap, but less expensive than many alternatives. Even so, if the price fits your budget, I highly recommend the Sofitel. Great stay! Läs mer

Very nice hotel with excellent service. The rooms were not that big - but for London standard ok. Breakfast buffet excellent but quite expensive 24£

Only in for one night. Hotel was immaculate, comfortable, clean, etc. It's a five star hotel. Shocker. I would like to make special mention of the fruit served with my breakfast. I don't know where it came from, but it was absolutely perfect. Like so good I'm going to have a hard time eating other fruit.

Great for light sleepers!

We stayed at the Sofitel London St. James the weekend of the Royal wedding (timing just worked out that way after a 2 week cruise). The hotel was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt like VIPs. The customer service was phenomenal. The manager, front desk staff, bell staff and bar staff all made us feel extra special and went out of their way […] to make sure we were well taken care of. Some local friends of ours met us at the bar for pre-dinner drinks and commented on the excelent service. The room was a good size and quiet. The hotel location was superb for tourist attractions and West End shows. We will defintely stay at this Sofitel again. Läs mer

Their was a bit of a mixup with our room. This was brought to the attention of the Asst. FO Mananger who promptly corrected thhe mistake and when he found out it was our 20th anniverary provided us with a excellent complimentary bottle of bubbly. The location was great the hotel was immaculate and the service was terrific. the concierge was very helpful […] with his recomendation and securing a reservation at a top sea food restaurent . Wonderfully located for sight seeing and business.

An AMAZING experience!!!! Highly suggested to anyone going to London!!! I have stayed in many Sofitels around the world and London St James was the BEST service, BEST food, BEST location, everything was simply GREAT! Surely will be back there.!

This hotel is in a perfect location. It is within walking distance of so many of the attractions in London. Shopping and good restaurants are within walking distance.

We stayed in the Sofitel St James for 3 nights. We had asked for a quiet room which we got and the doors are the quietest in any hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff are all delightful, and Louise in the bar was particularly friendly and helpful. The spa and the gym are both good. The expresso machine in your room on request is a realy nice touch.
