Rooms are spacious, great location. Hotel looks nice on the outside but could use a little updating inside. There are outside hot tubs but once you go out you are locked out and must rely on someone inside to let you in - not very safe!

Excellent location. It was a short shuttle ride to the Big Sky resort with a very friendly driver and we were able to ski back to The Lodge without taking off our skies on the way back. "Very pleasent"
The hotel was nice, clean, & well decored. Its very close to the lifts and shopping. We went there for our ten year anniversery over New Years and saw that they had a family friendly evirement. We're going back next year with our little girl.

This hotel was wonderful and the staff was the most friendly and helpful I have ever experienced. I stayed 88 nights in Marriott hotels in 2010 and the Lodge at Big Sky is in every way a rival to that chain. A wonderful hotel for the budget minded traveler in a perfect location. The rooms were very big with high ceilings and a large windows. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful always assisting with a smile! The best part of the hotel was the close proximity to the ski lifts! A short 5 minute walk! Breakfast was provided at no charge and dinner […] snacks were available for a small fee. Very nice limited service lodge at the base of a great ski area. Large rooms, all needed amenities, comfortable bed. Good parking. Facility feels pretty new. Free wireless a little slow. "Great Stay Near Yellowstone"
We were very pleased with the room, room service, check in and courtesy of the staff. The breakfast area was amenable as well. We would definitely stay here again, The only negative was the window had been left open with the screen messed up on our arrival. My husband fixed and repaired the screen and we killed about 20 moths that were around the window […] and on the curtain. This was the only negative experience we had. Spacious room, clean. Mediocre cold breakfast. If you are traveling to yellowstone, factor in 45 to 60 minutes driving to and from. The price is right until you factor in gas and drive time- next time I would stay closer to the park.

"Lodge at Big Sky - a good deal for summer"
The hotel was a great base for our trips to Yellowstone providing a nice room with a great view for a good price. We stayed 2 nights and were very satisfied. The beds were comfy with good bedding and plenty of pillows. We can also recommend the Blue Moon Bakery at the bottom of the hill for pizza and baked goods.

Not a place to stay if you are visiting Yellowstone, Tetons or Jackson unless you like to drive. It is perfect for skiing, horseback riding, etc in and around Big Sky. We would recommend to friends.

I can sum the night that my family and I stayed at this place up in two words.... LOVED IT! The furnishings in the rooms are slightly "dated", but still very comfortable and functional. The continental breakfast was very tasty. Some of the lodge staff appeared to speak english as a second language, but they always have someone close by that can effectively […] communicate with you. I guess this is due to a large number of european tourists that visit this place. The Big Sky Mall is a brisk 3 to 4 minute walk from this place. The lake is right down the road, and views of the entire valley abound. You will absolutely LOVE this place and the village that it's in. The 9 mile drive up the mountain is breathtaking, and is best tackled during the day. At night, it is NOT for the faint of heart. It's only about an hour 10 minutes from West Yellowstone, but the hotel is 5 times better than anything we saw down there. That, and during the summer months you can even save some cash by staying here in Big Sky Village instead of Yellowstone. Läs mer

"Lovely stay at the Lodge at Big Sky"
we had a fantastic time at Big Sky, it's a really pretty little town and the hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. We booked a tour (yellowstone tours) to see Yellowstone and the tour bus picked us up right outside the hotel. The breakfast was nice too, we were offered a full breakfast with muffins, cereals, bagels, pastries and tea (although […] not English tea, only fruit teas!) and coffee. "In the heart of beautiful Big Sky mountain resort"
I would have given it all 5*, if not for the small incident and pool. When we complained about plugged toilet, the receptionist offered to give us a plunger, as there was no maintenance on-site. Luckily, it worked! There are no showers at the pool and hot tub was overheated in my opinion.

"Spectacular Hotel with Great Views"
We stayed at The Lodge at Big Sky for three days in August. The views are amazing (make sure you reserve a mountain view room). You can walk to the grocery and a number of restaurants located right in the mountain view area. We recommend this hotel highly!
"A GREAT nights sleep"
We stayed here one night while on our way to Yellowstone Park. During this trip we stayed at 5 hotels and this hotel is by far the best. I wish that we would have stayed here for the few nights that we stayed inside of Yellowstone Park at a park hotel for $175.00 a night. The drive to Yellowstone from was beautiful and I could have driven back and forth […] a couple of days. "Beautiful setting; Inexpensive luxury"
We found this choice place after deciding that driving an extra 45 minutes past West Yellowstone, MT would get us more value for the money, but was that ever an understatement! This place was far more luxurious and beautiful than we expected, and was priced MUCH lower than anything we found closer to the park, including hotels that had VERY questionable […] reviews. The setting, on the mountain just under ski lifts, is dramatic and beautiful, the hotel is plush and VERY clean and comfortable, Beds are firm and new, linens nice and thick, carpeting, drapes, etc attractive and tasteful as well as maintained and clean. Our room didn't have a screen on the window, which was a bit of a disappointment, as I like to have fresh air (especially that nice, clean, mountain air!) while I sleep, but there were a lot of mosquitos, so leaving the window open was not an option. We arrived in early evening and the only problem we had with checking in was that the desk clerk had trouble getting the room key cards coded correctly to let us into our room. It was a minor inconvenience. All of the staff that we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel sits in a little "village" where there are several restaurants and shops nearby to walk to. Continental breakfast was served in a lovely, large room with a view of the mountain and tables/chairs or cozy couches and other arrangements for sitting near a fireplace. Deer were walking around just outside the windows while we ate breakfast and played cards. The breakfast itself wasn't much for variety, but everything that was there was well presented and of good quality: a selection of sweet breads, juice, milk, coffee, tea, cereal, etc. We didn't use the pool, so can't comment on it, though we did notice that the hot tub next to the pool had no water in it, and when we asked the staff about it, were told that the outdoor hot tub, on a lovely patio below the mountain and under the stars, was in working order, but we ended up not usi Läs mer

Stayed at the hotel for two nights with plans on going to the Northern part of Yellowstone. The Big Sky area was so nice that we stayed local going rafting in the Gallitin river and going to the Wednesday night market in Big Sky Village. "Noisy room"
We were put in a room on the lower level ( 1st floor)at one end of the hotel. There were pipes in the ceiling above our room that had water flowing through them constatnly during our stay. The sound was load and very annoying. Tried sleeping with the radio on to cover up the sound of the pipes, but it didn't help. I would not recommend staying in a […] 1st floor room. when we got into our room, the view was great, but the beds were extremely soft, and all the pans and some dishes were in the dishwasher and were still VERY DIRTY,, crusted on.. and there wasn't any dish soap, cloth, or scubber to clean them. We stayed at The Lodge at Big Sky on our visit to the Yellowstone Nat. Park. The road from Yellowstone to this Hotel is like a journey through Paradise. You will not feel it takes 50 or so minutes. The hotel itself is really nice. breakfast is not bad at all. Rooms are very clean and big. Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. Nice views from the […] window. Staff is very helpful. "Decent for the price"
the worst I can say is this hotel is 9 very long slow miles up a very steep mountain... If you are looking to save money by staying in Big Sky instead of West Yelllowstone... Like we did, be prepared to spend all your extra time going up and down the mountain and all your extra money on dinner - if you can find any - during the summer most of everything […] is closed - but if you find yoirselves here; the chicken sandwich at the Summit is amazing and might actually be worth $10! "Beautiful, well kept resort"
It's an hour's drive from Bozman on a very mountainous type road, but well worth the drive. About an hour from Yellowstone. Price was a bargain in the summer. Stayed in the least expensive room and it was still wonderful. Dual queen beds in every room. No other option. We highly recommend the Lodge at Big Sky. We arrived ahead of schedule and they had a room ready for us. The staff was wonderful - everyone was very helpful and able to answer any questions that we had. Jeff, the owner, even let our son use his Mono Ski for a day! We look forward to staying at The Lodge at Big Sky again.
