Hotell Hotel Augustinenhof - Berlin

We stayed at the Augustinenhof during low season (feb) so we hardly saw any other guests. That didn't bother us one bit! The staff were very nice, they changed our room so we could have wifi, they turned on the sauna for us when we got "home" from a cold day in Berlin (highly recommended) and they were very friendly! We didn't have breakfast at the […] hotel because of the price (12 euro / person) but there were plenty of früchstück-places nearby. The only negative thing was the old tv and the lack of channels other than german. But who spends their days in front of the tv when in Berlin?! We would definetely stay at the Augustinenhof again! PLUS: Mycket prisvärt! Perfekt läge! Området upplevs som mycket trevligt. Bra service! Städat och trevligt rum. Varm dusch. MINUS: Luktar unket i badrummet, inte illa, men unket. Dålig ventilation på rummet. Fruktansvärt obekväma kuddar - nackspärr!

Very nice area of the city, lots of nice restaurants and nice people... But the street is on a route for large, and very often very loud, groups of young people, they all seem to have lots of fun, but it makes sleep in the rooms towards the street very difficult. The beds were way to hard! After on night pain set in... But the room we had was acctually […] two (2) rooms that were very nice an big, with a small kitchen includin a fridge and all you need... The biggest problem is that the hotel as VERY liomited acces to a wireless network..!!! If you carry a Laptop with Ethernet connection you're probably OK in the room. But if you use wireless (like EVERYBODY does in there Notebooks, Pads and Smartphones, this IS 2012..!!) then there is only a very small posibillity for one (1) person at a time (!) to access information and only in the lobby..!!! I managed to get out On Lina once, then the system locked and I couldn't log out and that made all acces impossible for me or anyone else... In 2012 you really need to be able access information wirelessly everywhere in a hotel. The end result was that I had to get access throught the mobile phone network, works fine but the cost is HUGE if you don't have a German SIM-card... Not good..!!! Läs mer

Perfekt hotell för dig som ska se dig om i Berlin. Nära alla sevärdheter. Nära till bra restauranger. Rum mot gården och det är nästan ljudlöst. Saknar en vattenkokare på rummet. Frukost i dyraste laget, finns billigare nära.

Fräsht hotell. Centralt läge med gångavstånd till sevärdigheter. Frukosttillägg 12Euro lite dyrt, billigare alternativ finns i närområdet.

Trevligt, fräscht och mysigt. Saknade endast en musikkanal via TV:n. Annars fanns allt man önskar på ett hotellrum. Bra med två stolar så man slipper sitta på sängen när man umgås.

Ingen vattenkokare på rummet för att göra te eller kaffe. Dålig belysning på rummet. Både almänbelysning och läslampa vid sängen. Som inte helt ung var det svårt att kunna läsa kartan eller en bok på kvällen. I övrigt bra.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Fan in the bathroom was a bit noisy and would run automatically for 20-minutes.

LOVED this Hotel! great rooms, very spacious. Great neighborhood and staff. My only complaint was that WiFi did not work great in my room. it worked great in the lobby, but was spotty at times in my actual room.

Except for the bathroom, the room needs serious modernization: no WiFi and the TV was a 13-inch tube with very limited choice of channels. It's really 2 single mattresses pushed together and the pillows on the bed are really thin. Bathroom was a disabled one which I wasn't aware of. No bath. It's location is the best to get to all major attractions it doesn't take long to use public transport to get from the hotel to the sights.

I chose this hotel because of the safe location close to museums and transport links, Friedrichstrasse station being reasonably close, also Dada Falafel cafe. Everything was as I expected and hoped. It was quiet and felt safe, comfortable and civilised. I made use of the PC in the lounge. I was disappointed on discovering that the hotel had taken my reservation and confirmed a room to me which was non-smoking, despite my having specially asked for a smoking room. I also did not get any assurance or apology on there being a mistake of sorts. It is reasonably centrally located though if you have only a night to spare, perhaps look for […] a hotel on a major road. Great location and a very nice room. Staff were ok - i.e. "bare minimum helpful". The web description said: "complimentary high-speed (wired) Internet access in the room" which means only a broad band cable. I misinterpreted this as meaning it had wi-fi, and only had an e-tablet and so was unable to use the cable. When I asked reception if they had […] any adapters or suggestions they looked at me like I was from Mars, and the only person in the world who has ever had that problem of not bringing with them an adapter. We had asked for a cot for our 8-month-old daughter in advance - they put us into one of the largest rooms, a travelcot was already put up when we got there (including pillow and duvet) - excellent service! High chairs at breakfast were also not a problem. It was really quiet and we had a great stay.

The hotel is quite nice for a 3 star and not too far from the major attractions. Only thing is that the room had polished but bear floorboards - some carpet would have been nice.

Clean, spacious room (on European standards), few blocks from U-ban station. My reservation rate didn't include breakfast (so check for that), although I left early so it didn't matter.

The hotel Augustinenhof was very comfortable, in a great location near the metro, and served a nice breakfast buffet. The rooms were not large, but were adequate, the front desk personnel were very helpful and patient answering questions and giving directions to nearby services. The room was pretty small, but comfortable and extremely clean. The location is very convenient and central -- very close to the Museum Insel and reasonably close to Alexanderplatz. The staff was friendly and helpful (though I did not ask for very much, as I only stayed one night). The only problem was that you are not supposed to use any electrical […] appliances in the room -- which is a bit inconvenient. Internet connection worked perfectly and easily (though can use only battery power) in the room. Oh and also the expedia price that I got did not include breakfast as it turned out (this was not clear to me when I booked) so that was a little inconvenient. Very friendly staff, room in very good condition, 5 minutes away from underground and 10 minutes from main museums. Although the location is very close to the hippie area of Berlin the area is pretty safe.

I made a few short local phone calls from the hotel and was charged more than E50. The hotel is o.k., but the location is very noisy at night duie to many bars etc around and people singing on the streets very late.

Great location: at the very heart of Mitte, next door to Kunstwerke exhibition hall and many galleries, if you are into contemporary art. Hotel has something old-fashioned about it: wooden floors, wooden window frames which open into the street (small street with little traffic), no airconditioning (and no need of it by +32 which I endured), tiny TV, […] pretty basic (but sufficient) comfort. The hotel has some (not overpresent) affiliation with a religious organisation - which did not make rooms any cheaper, alas. You pay for the location and the quietness. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door, with scrambled eggs and typical German buffet - nothing to write home about, but you will not starve. Lots of restaurants around, some of them cheap. Probably not a place for a romantic getaway but comfortable enough for a business trip. And Internet is truly free! Läs mer

OP hotel werkelijk niets aan te merken. De rolstoelkamer had enige minpuntjes: het is bed is laag met een zacht matras en bovendien is de ruimte rond het bed beperkt. Badkamer is prima.

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig berlinerferie, med hotelophold, hvor alt var i orden. Værelse og bad var rent og pænt. Betjeningen er venlig og hjælpsom. Området er rigtig hyggeligt. Gode caféer og butikker i nærheden, tæt på U-bahn. Det fungerede rigtig godt for vores familie.

Nice quiet hotel within short walk to all main sights. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars close by. The clean room was towards garde, so very quiet. We found the hotel sauna especially nice, very basic but comfortable. Room was made up daily. Since we visited during Easter, the easter bunny had brought us eggs to our room :-)

Parkplatzsituation schlecht! Parkplatz in der Nähe: 15 € pro Tag. Rezeption macht nicht darauf aufmerksam, dass nur Anwohner mit Plakette in der Auguststr. parken dürfen.
