Rummen mot floden var trevliga och utsikten ypperlig. Också första våningen lugn, trots gågatan under fönstret. Övriga rum var mycket mindre. Ypperligt läge, ett stenkast från Ponte Vechio och på gåavstånd överallt.

Hade ett enkelrum som var litet och mörkt, dålig belysning och gick inte att öppna fönstret. Läget perfekt vid Arno och nära allt.

We loved our stay in Florence, and could not have selected a better hotel. My husband and I were traveling with my parents, and our rooms shared a small little vestibule/entry off of the main hallway, so it felt a bit more personal than having our hotel room doors right on the main hallway. The bathrooms were "modern" compared to most hotel bathrooms […] in Europe. The hotel location was convenient to major sites and beautiful, just alongside the Arno River. We loved the little courtyard area with the Church on the other side, as well as the Garden Terrace which was just across the hallway from our rooms. This was a great place to stay. Convenient to most everything you might want to visit. The staff at the front desk is first class....friendly, helpful and always making you feel welcome. The hotel is tucked away on a small side street just a block from the Ponte Vecchio, though it seems like worlds away - The staff is attentive and told us about smaller restaurants and places to go that were off the beaten path, giving us a less touristy view of Florence, while still being near enough to all of it to make walking the way to go. I just love the location of this hotel. It is right near the Ponte Vecchio. My room and bathroom this time was much larger. I found the staff at the reception extremely helpful and responsive.

Perfect location in relation to Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace area of town, but not walking distance from train station, if that is important. Right on Arno River. Very close to best high end shopping area. Included breakfast was outstanding, but I did miss having coffee available in room. Hotel staff was most helpful and accommodating.

Lovely lobby, nicely-decorated room; however, the room was warm and the air conditioning wasn't available yet (we were there in early April). There was a nice breeze when we opened the window, but we got mosquitoes in the room that way. Aside from that little problem, the breakfasts were terrific and the outside spaces were lovely. This was our 5th stay at Hotel Berchielli. Great location right on the river and walking to any of the attractions in Florence is a breeze. Staff is great as is the facility. I would not think of staying anywhere else. Hotel has a fantastic breakfast room with staff and large selection of food.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Florence. Easily one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

The only thing I did NOT like was the room was way too warm. Had to leave the window open all the time. On week-ends it was noisy with the window open. Everything else was great. Loved the location.

Just spent two weeks traveling in Italy. Worst Hotel of the lot. I agree with the Brit comments. No way this is a 4 star. Lobby is nice, but the Hotel is just a bottom line operation. Hotel Berchielli is a stylish, well-maintained hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. The location - on the Arno, just down from the Ponte Vecchio - is absolutely ideal for exploring Florence on foot (the only way). Our room was impeccably clean and had a wonderful view over the river. There are many restaurants nearby. The breakfast is very good […] too. Good location, helpful staff - especially those in the breakfast room. We had a room on the 6th floor and it was quite warm; we ended up opening the window. We had drinks one evening in the bar, but there was no bartender in sight - finally had to ask at the front desk and they sent somebody. Overall, a very nice hotel - good value for your money!

Excellent comfortable room overlooking the River Arno. Superb central position within easy walking distance of all the historic buildings and exhibitions. Perfect hotel in a central ideal location. There is a beautiful square with a Tiffany & Co. right behind the property. A delicious free breakfast was included. Very nice staff...my room was small, but it was in the back and therefore quiet and the price was right...I could not have been happier.

You are a two to ten minute walk to all of the great art, architecture, and culinary destinations you want to see in Florence. Central position about 50 metres from Pont Vechio. Ideal for experiencing the sights of Florence. Very comfortable room but no tea/coffee maker. Excellent breakfast provided- cooked bacon, egg, sausage. Fruit, cereals etc. Staff very pleasant and cooperative.

The hotel is located right along the River Arno, not too far from the Ponte Vecchio. Making it a good place to walk to everything...The Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, all the different piazzas, restaurants, shops, etc. The staff was mostly helpful. Big piece of advice....DO NOT drive a car in Florence if you don't have to. It's […] a nightmare. Parking is almost impossible. Take a taxi from the airport, which cost between 25 and 30 euros. And then just walk if you don't plan to leave Florence. We did rent a car and drove south to Siena and then further south to Montalcino and spent a couple nites in a B&B there, which I would highly recommend. But you don't need, nor do you want, to drive around Florence to get from place to place within the city. The breakfast included at the hotel was pretty decent. There's a bar off the lobby which is a nice place to hang for a glass of wine and get something to eat if you don't feel like leaving the hotel for a nite. The bartender that was there the whole week we were isn't Mr. Friendly. I don't know if it's a dislike of Americans or his general disposition, but he didn't go out of his way to be nice or offer great service. And we spoke moderate Italian. Overall, we liked the hotel. The location of the Berchielli is an A+ on the Arno River between the Ponte Vecchio and the Micheangelo bridge. If it's within your budget, treat yourself to a river view room. The view is truly breathtaking but be prepared for the traffic noise if you sleep with the windows open. The breakfast is good- the spread is good quality but it's the exact same every day. The hotel is located in easy, close proximity (walking distance) to everything you'd want to visit in Florence including the train station if you take a day trip to Pisa or somewhere else. The hotel was excellent with helpful, English-speaking staff. Room was lovely and overlooked a beautiful courtyard and an old church. It was right in the heart of Florence but was quiet. The breakfast really set me up for the day and there was plenty of fresh food and coffee. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Staff and service was great. Had a beautiful room for three with our daughter and a great view of the river. Only complaint is the noise from the traffic in the morning but it was worth it to enjoy the view. I stay in hotels about 80 nights a year and this was a very enjoyable hotel.

Beautiful hotel located right on the river. The service was outstanding. We stayed an extra 4 days since we loved it so much. We will definitely stay here when we go back. Massimo provided excellent service and made our trip extra special.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the position close to the Arno and the use of the roof top terrace after a tiring day's walking were very welcome. The staff were friendly, informative and very professional, nothing was too much trouble and the service at breakfast was excellent. We will definately return again.
