Värt varenda krona. Litet, men trevligt, hotell med utmärkt läge. Nära Nine Streets och shopping/centrum, på tyst och lugn gata. Små, men trevliga, rum. Rent och fräscht och trevlig personal. Rekommenderar!

Peronligt och vänligt bemötande i receptionen. Kunnig personal som gav goda råd ang sevärdheter och adresser som vi sökte.Trivsam frukostbuffe.Fri tillgång till WIFI. Vi återvänder gärna både till hotel Prinsen och Amsterdam.

Området Plantages lummiga parkland har nästan helt försvunnit, men den botaniska trädgården och det lilla Artis Zoo erbjuder en fristad från stadens liv och rörelse. Det utmärkta maritima museet Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum i norr minner om den holländska örlogsflottans glansdagar, medan det etnografiska Tropenmuseum i söder visar upp exotiska skatter från Nederländska Ostindien.

"Väldigt prisvärt"
Prisvärt och snyggt hotell; magnifika korridorer och vanliga dubbelrum i etage - med stora fönster och således mycket ljusinsläpp; ett gammat barnhem som byggts om till hotell. "Hotell Arena"

"4 stjärnigt?"
Hotellet vi bodde på dagen innan som var 3 stjärnigt var betydligt bättre i allt. Hyrde ett delux rum men det var litet och andades budget. "Kaklet" i badrummet var plastbitar de limmat på väggen. De i receptionen var nonchalanta och parkeringen var definitivt inte gratis ("gratis i mån av plats", det fanns många lediga platser på deras parkering men […] det var inte gratis) som det stod när man bokade här på hotels.com. Hyr ett hotell med 3 stjärnor istället för Hotel Arena och du kommer få ett bättre rum för halva priset. Det fanns 1 bra sak med Hotel Arena och det var städningen och städpersonalen. "Amazing Stay"
Husband and I were amazed at the hotel decor upon walking into the hotel. Front desk was friendly and told us that we were upgraded to a studio room because they were overbooked. Room was AMAZING; very spacious and simple yet had the contemporary feel. My other friends called us and wanted to see how different our rooms were (they were also upgraded). Loved this hotel, really quirky and interesting and despite Amsterdam being a incredibly expensive city, this hotel is terrified value and very close to two different trams which make getting around the city incredibly easy.Verifierad gästrecension

"Lovely hotel, poor service"
We decided that we wanted a Christmas with a difference so we decided upon Amsterdam; a place we had both visited before and one that we thought would deliver everything we wanted. The Hotel Arena was a lovely hotel, located far close enough to the city centre but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay. Upon arriving, I was very happy with the hotel, staff […] very friendly and willing to help. However, the air-con in our room wasn't working and neither were the lights.....the staff moved us rooms no problems to a better room. The room was never cleaned and we had to request for this to happen. When if was cleaned, this consisted of pulling the sheets up!! "Best for Couples"
I did enjoy the stay at the Hotel Arena. The location was outside of the City Center, but transportation there was convenient (trams and Metro close). There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby and within walking distance. Some other random comments as you make your hotel decision: 1. I had booked a suite, but was given a standard room […] at first. The front desk staff fixed this issue immediately and told me that Expedia had given them the wrong information. (My advice: Bring your booking/reservation materials!) 2. I used the Connexion Shuttle Service to the Hotel and it was easy and convenient. I would recommend this. 3. The room had a distinctive odor to it when we arrived (sewer gas smell). I chose not to bring this to the attention of the hotel staff. It got better as we used the room over the four days. 4. You can purchase public transportation tickets (24, 48, or 72 hour passes) from the front desk. 5. I thought the breakfast buffet was large with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, breads, meat, cheeses, juices, and danish. It was all delicious. 6. The pictures make the hotel look a bit nicer than it actual was. They did seem to be working a lot (i.e. painting) on the structure. 7. It was nice having the restaurant and bar onsite. Ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was very good. 8. The heat did not seem to be working in the room. The Manager looked at it twice and did bring us an electric heater. 9. Our stay at the Hotel Arena was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, and the customer service is great! We liked the location of the hotel because the hotel was away from the busy tourist areas. "Convenient location and super friendly service."
The Hotel Arena is located a convenient 2 blocks or so from the 9 which goes to the central train station and the downtown tourist areas. The rooms are stylish and well appointed and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable one. The only minor issue I could see a guest having is that the rooms aren't particularly well […] soundproofed. You might want to ask for a corner room or one at the end of a hallway. "Great hotel for young couples"
It was a very spacious room and the hotel was situated in a lovely part of Amsterdam. The easiest way to get there is to take the number 9 tram and walk down to the hotel from Plantage Laan. The hotel is situated near Ooster Park, which is lovely and an Albert Heijn (supermarket) in Sarphati straat for when you want to have a picnic. "Great staff, great hotel"
Hotel staff upon arrival were most helpful. As we arrived on a Friday, they offered to put us on the guestlist for the club. Ask reception if you need a taxi rather than waiting outside the hotel, they will get you one in less than 5 minutes. "Hotel Arena - Amsterdam"
The Hotel Arena in Amsterdam is set on the out skirts of Amsterdam's hustle and bustle, but very accessible via the tram system, one outside the hotel to the entertainment district (clubs & restaurants) and one approx 500m to Dam Square. Reading several reviews expressed this prior to booking which attracted me to the Hotel, being quiet, It is also […] walking distance to the centre if you don't mind negotiating the minefield of cyclist! Although the deluxe room we booked was nice, the split level bedroom was a little awkward climbing very steep stairs. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. "Duplex Rooms"
Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Location is a bit too far from the center of Amsterdam than I had realised for the price. The biggest problem was the room which was a duplex with an incredibly steep, narrow steps and open staircase (a nighmare if you had been staying with young children). Lovely hotel, but about a 20-30 minute walk into the centre of town, and there is not much in the surrounding area. The bar looked nice but the service was terrible, really slow, we waited over an hour for some snacks, and drinks were slow to arrive. An impressive hotel sitting at the edge of a park southeast of the city center, Hotel Arena supplies everything a traveler would wish for. Ny husband and I stayed at Hotel Arena in July 2011. It is super-modern with very black hallways, not our taste but if you like modern this is for you. We found the room also to be ultra-modern - in fact we didn't discover the clothes closet until we'd been there 2 days, we thought it was a mirror! We found the room to be very efficient but cold feeling. […] I wouldn't want to be on a first overnight date with someone - abslutely no privacy in the bathroom. We had a two-floor room with "living room" area and bathroom on the first and the bed on the second floor. The bathroom had see-through glass walls, which was a little weird.
