"Close to our Crestone, CO property."
Enjoyed our stay very much! I thought the spurious trees growing behind and against the back side of the buildings should be pruned off, they were pruned only to look nice from the street side. From the dog walk area the piles of trash and trees growing against the side and back of the building was very ugly - gave a whole different view of the place […] considering it would only take a day or two to clean them up. For an inexpensive hotel, this a great place. We used the pool and the hot tub, all very clean and the beds were comfortable. They are dog friendly, and that's important for us. It's also right across the road from the salida hot springs pool, and the hotel management will give you discount coupons for use of that facility too. We stayed three nights but had to switch rooms the last night. The first room was excellent..... the second room not so good. This owner is in the process of remodeling the place - and is somewhat on target....Suggestions would be to install receptical strips so lap top/phone etc can be plugged in without moving furniture.... "A very pleasant stay."

"Not bad for a pet-friendly hotel...."

"this place stinks -- literally"
Super 8 hotels are usually new and clean. This one was not. Super 8 must have bought an old hotel and changed the name, but nothing else. We were stuck in smoking rooms and they smelled so bad that my daughter cried and couldn't get to sleep.
