Det var ett bra hotell. Vi bodde i ett trippel rum 21 kvm. Det var precis lagom stort. Allt som man ville se låg på bekvämt avstånd. Mindre en 2 km bort. Vatikanstaten var det enda som vi inte kände för att gå till, (ca 3,5 km) en taxi kostade för oss tre 8 euro. Helt ok.

Roms största och mest spektakulära fontän, Trevi-fontänen, dominerar den lilla piazzan med antika havsgudar och forsande vatten. Fellinis La Dolce Vita förevigade fontänen, där det nu har blivit populärt att kasta i mynt för att försäkra sig om att man återvänder till den eviga staden. De tre gatorna som strålar ut från piazzan leder till det historiska centret och sevärdheterna i Quirinale, en av Roms ursprungliga sju kullar.

"Perfect Location and Great Hotel - Will Stay Again"
Great hotel for the money. As first time visitor to Rome this was a great place to stay. The room was large in comparison to other hotels in Europe and also has US plug outlets. The hotel is situated between Piazza Popolo and the Spanish steps. Exit to your left and your are no more than a block away from Piazza Popolo, exit to the right and your are […] five blocks away from the amazing Spanish steps. The neighborhood is very high end with every fashion house within blocks and very chic boutiques. Across the street is the famous Hotel de Rossi (where many celebs stay) with its hidden courtyard and wine bar. The hotel has a great rooftop deck and bar. Unfortunately the bar was not open due to renovations but we grabbed bottles of wine and champagne and enjoyed a drink regardless. They also provide a great breakfast which is full of fresh fruit and croissants as well as coffee and cappuccino. The hotel staff was friendly and we had multiple check ins during the day to see if we needed anything. They also have a car service to and from FCO in a nice Mecedes van or car for only 55 Euro which is about 7 euro higher than a cab but very convenient. "Small but charming."
The hotel has an excellent location and lovely details. That said, the single rooms are TINY. If you take a single, absolutely ask for a balcony so that the experience is less claustrophobic. If you plan to spend your time outside, the hotel works great. If you want to spend time reading and writing indoors, it will be cramped. "Piranesi awesome"
Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, good airconditioning, very close (800 metres walk) to the top attractions - spainish steps, pantheon, trevi fountain. Extremely pleasant staff who welcome you and make you feel at home. Lots of places for shopping. A metro station to get to the collosium is 150 metres away. "Excellant Hotel, Staff and Location"
The Hotel Piranesi was great. Great location close to the Spanish Steps and the Piazza di Popolo--which was right next to a Taxi pick-up area. The staff was very accomodating and the rooms were lovely. We were nicely upgraded to a balcony room upon check-in since we were staying 5 evenings - that was a wonderful surprise and lovely feature. The roof […] top terrace and bar, main floor patio and lobby areas were lovely and a nice area to relax, read a book or plan your day. The continental breakfast included in our daily room rate was delicious and a nice variety of cold meats, fruit, croissants, yogurt, cereal and espresso type coffees. We asked nightly for restaurant recommendations and were always given an excellent choice. Lastly, they arranged a car service to the airport on our departure for a very reasonable fare (40% less than the fare we paid using another service upon our arrival). "Good location, not worth 4 stars compared to other Rome 3 star"
I stayed in a 3 star hotel near the Pantheon last spring and paid $100/night less than I did for Hotel Piranese this spring. Piranese was in no way better than the 3 star. In fact, in several ways, the 3 star was better. Piranesi's room was considerably smaller - which makes it extremely small. The bathroom was much smaller...a larger person would be […] very uncomfortable (I am 5'2", 115llbs) . The 3 star had a pretty rooftop breakfast room, Piranesi served breakfast in a windowless basement. 3 star had in room coffee maker and provided box breakfast for early departure. Piranesi did not. "Good location, but ..."
Can't fault the location (right on Piazza del Popolo), helpfulness of the staff, cleanliness etc. but... The room was like a junior suite, divided into three (bedroom, sitting room, bathroom. A better use of space would have improved it. The sitting room was well furnished, but formal (desk, lamp table, hard upright chairs etc.) which was a shame because […] there was no chance of relaxing to watch the TV. The bathroom was well appointed, but small and the shower cubicle was tiny (90cm x 90cm). The bedroom was also small, but the bed was comfortable and a fine size. Although the bedroom also contained a wall-moiunted TV, this one lacked the video on demand features of the one in the lounge, so no chance of watching a film in comfort! Breakfast was a pleasant buffet in a well-lit basement room. The hotel was quiet, but the bar and common areas were also very formal, so difficult to relax in. The rooftop bar / terrace is very pleasant, but was only just coming into use in early May. The location is surrounded by restaurants and the reception team were pleased to make sensible recommendations that turned out well. Shopping was excellent and all the sights were within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the nearby rank. Out of season, the air conditioning is turned off due to city regulations. The streets outside are noisy, so be prepared to wear ear plugs or keep the windows closed and put up with the stuffiness. In all, quite expensive, but an enjoyable break. Everything about this hotel was top notch - our room with its terrace was beautiful, the room was large by European standards and the bathroom was full-sized. "Fantastic location"
The hotel is small with an attractive lobby area but mostly small rooms. The staff was pleasant but borderline incompetent or unresponsive. We had a problem with the drain in our bathtub which wasn't keeping the water in. We reported it and they seemingly fixed it that day.When we returned I took a bath and then we couldn't get the drain up to let the […] water out. Their fix was to pull the stopper out, leaving it on the tub and giving us a rubber stopper. There was also no chest of drawers for clothes, only a small armoire with 2 small drawers and the hanging space washalf taken up by the vault. As I said the location is fabulous for walking and just a few steps from a taxi stand so given the price it was a great choice and I would stay there again unless I could afford the gorgeous hotel across the street. "Lovely central and quiet hotel!"
Our 2nd visit to Rome and we wanted a more central location and a hotel with character. The Piranesi satisfied us on both counts. A stone's throw from the Piazza del Popolo and a short walk to the Spanish Steps, the Piranesi was a perfect base. Staff were professional, attentive and friendly - the housekeeper checked on us a little too frequently if […] anything! The room was at the back of the hotel (recommended) so it was quiet and had a lovely private verandah created between the hotel and the next building. Room an ok size - well furnished. Bed not so comfy - though large enough. For us Brits, the tv selection was rubbish unless you bought into their pay per view options. Only news channel was a business CNN - still, an excuse to get away from gloomy news for a few days! Breakfast was continental - well presented and plenty of it. Check out the roof garden - we celebrated New Year up there with a few other visitors and some fizz - great view down to the piazza and across the Borgese gardens opposite. "Will definitely be returning next time I come to Rome"
I arrived at the hotel quite early and my room was not ready. I was able to leave my luggage in a secure room behind reception while I went sightseeing around Rome. I came back after lunch and checked in. My bags were waiting for me in my room and the room was spotless and very elegant. The service was excellent. Whenever I needed a taxi the staff would […] go out and flag one down for me. A taxi to Fiumicino airport from the hotel costs approximately 60 euros, however my driver was a bit of speed demon. He was going approx 150km/h a few times on the highways. It was nice to be called 'Ms [surname]' as well by the hotel staff. Will definitely come back one day! "Would stay at this hotel again"
We stayed at the 4th floor and had a big balcony with chairs and table. The view was fantastic. The room was a little small but functional. Furniture was in good shape and the wood floors were new. The shower was small but there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast buffet was really nice. There were whole grain breads, white breads, sweet bread, cakes, […] crackers, etc. Fruit, granola, juice, cheese, etc. Location was fantastic. Perfect starting point for sightseeing and evening walks. Strets are clean and well kept in this area. Hotel personal was very friendly and helped us with directions and reservation for the Borghese Gallery. There was a big shelf with Rome guidebooks in the reception. Optimale Lage um Rom (auch) zu Fuss erkunden zu können, vor allem den Innenstadtbereich, aber auch Park B. und Vatikan. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und teilweise auch mehrsprachig. Die Zimmer sind zwar sehr klein, hat man aber Eines mit Terasse, dann ist es absolut traumhaft - über den Dächern von Rom. Einziger Nachteil war, dass die Bar schon […] um elf zugemacht hat. Un service sympathique et un hôtel très bien placé pour visiter Rome à pieds. Vlak bij winkels, bus, metro en taxistandplaats. Attente staf. Goed ontbijt met lekkere koffie. De kamer (4e etage) was wat klein om te zitten(ook de badkamer was krap) maar had een luxe terras, vooral op een warme zomeravond heerlijk. Ook was alles echt schoon! Een midden groot bed is kennelijk 1.40 breed Wil je een grotere kamer kun je beter een etage […] lager vragen en gebruik maken van het gezamenlijke dakterras.
