Bodde endast en natt på Erwin men det var ett trevligt hotell med fint rum. En minut tog det att gå ner till stranden vilket vi gillade. Restauranger och diverse strandförsäljare fanns det gott om efter strandpromenaden. Vet dock inte hur det är med middagsrestauranger, vi åt nåt lättare på takterassen som hotellet hade. Hotellet var mycket trevligt designat, rummen var mysiga. Hotellet låg ett stenkast från stranden där det var liv och rörelse och en fantastisk utsikt. Kvarteren runt gav en ruggig känsla av otrygghet, det var inte trevligt att vistas ute på kvällen o sedan återvända till det område där vi bodde. Snyggt och nydesignat hotell som har ett bra läge vid stranden! mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående personal och väldigt snygga rum. Jag och min kompis blev erbjudna uppgraderin till havsutsikt och det var svårt att motstå... Annars har dom en JÄTTE fin bar på taket med utsikt över hela Venice beach och även början av Santa Monica beach. coola lougemöbler […] och terassvärmare(om det är kyliga nätter) som även LA borna kommer till på kvällen. Vi tog ingen frukost utan gick till cafeet i korsningen utanför hotellet som hade jättegoda bagels och tidiga mornar är en knutpunkt för alla runtomkring.. Promenadavstånd till shopping(om man gillar att gå) i Santa Monica ca : 40 min i rask takt. Har man hyrbil så kan man parkera gratis på stora gatan som går utanför hotellet, annars kostar det ganska mycket på hotellet och omkring liggande parkeringar. Snyggt design hotell i Venice!! If you want to be in Venice for the sea, sand, and spectacle, this hotel puts you in the middle of it all! Despite the busy (fully booked) weekend, the staff was courteous and prompt in meeting my requests.

very hip and cool. Great view at rooftop bar. Its restaurant on the ground floor is small but turns out to be extremely good.

Great location and superior staff. While it's in the middle of a renovation (which means not as lovely room selection) the staff really can't be beat - professional, friendly and helpful. Nice breath of fresh (Venice beach) air for this business weary traveler.

Right on Venice Beach. Great location. Roof top bar was the highlight of the hotel

This looks to be a 70s style apt building that was poorly converted to a hotel. Small and dingy bathroom, so small the sink was outside the door of where the toilet and (stained) bathtub were. Weird materials,like a bright yellow metal half wall that was actually sharp cause I caught my sweater on the edge of it. The bed was mediocre, and the carpets […] smelled musty. Not as close to the beach as you would expect for the price but a good place to stay with some very friendly staff.

My opportunity to experience the Venice boardwalk and a beautiful day in December on the beach - all right outside the door of the Hotel Erwin.

Loved the rooftop lounge and restaurant downstairs. Room was modern, comfortable, and had personality. The whole staff was incredibly nice, from the valets to the check-in personnel to waitstaff. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was conveniently located and was just a short walk from Venice beach. That was the main reason we booked Hotel Erwin. Room was nicely decorated however, I wished the bed was not so soft such that every turn of the body makes it creaked and bounced. Also wished that the toilet door is not a top hung sliding door because it is kind of annoying every […] time we opened or closed it and it clattered against the frame. Complimentary breakfast would have been nice too. Tip: Ask for a room away from the side street. We were awoken at about 7am by loud droning sounds which we mistakenly thought was the rubbish truck. Fun, quirky hotel. Beautiful view of the ocean from the rooftop. Staff very helpful. Extremely convenient.

This hotel is just like the area it lives in - a little bit different, in a good way! The hotel advertises itself as a 'boutique' hotel and is pretty unique, from the artwork on the walls of the rooms and corridors to the arty fittings and layout of the rooms. The suites on the side of the hotel have excellent views, not so much the ordinary rooms […] which only have a partial view. However the location more than makes up for this, being smack bang in the centre of Venice Beach. The bars and restaurants of the area could not be closer. Others have complained of the noise coming from the roof bar but I did not find this to be an issue at all. The bar/restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel ('Barlo') is conveniently located, has a good stock of beers, the food is pretty good and the staff are friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel if staying in Venice; don't expect an identikit room like in a Hilton or other chain - expect something a little different but every bit as good. Läs mer

just recently stayed here, the bathroom doors are "modern" and give no privacy where everyone can see your business inside. they do no close and there is a 5 inch gap where everyone can see inside, just plain stupid and thoughtless. The parking was waaaayyyyy too expensive but the hotel was well kept and decently comfortable. Would never recommend to […] another person though Läs mer

It reminded me of small hip hotels in New York. The staff was great and brought towels up quickly when asked. It was a pleasant stay.

I was in on business working long hours and needed to get in and out quickly, including with the valet car service. They did a great job. The staff was very friendly, highly available, and was eager to make my stay as good as possible. Whoever is in charge of hiring the staff is doing a super job and probably it's also the case that good people attract […] good people. The amenities are nothing special. The breakfasts (not included in the room rate) are quite good--better than standard hotel fare. There is a nice rooftop bar, but all I did was look. I was too busy. Had a fabulous time at Hotel Erwin in the heart of Venice Beach. Hotel is very modern (has recently been redone), classy, comfortable, and the staff was very, very nice. Room was decorated very nicely, and beds were super comfortable. There was even a rack of sunglasses in our room that we could choose to wear! There was a constant crowd of people in […] the lobby checking in or out, and always people around to help out. Valet parking was a bit expensive, but what else are you going to do? cute but not cozy..Could use a real restaurant!

I expected this hotel to be ok but was surprised that it turned out great. Perfect location for me as the hotel is right in front of a surf break, managed to grab a morning and evening surf before work. The hotel is clean, relatively minimal and basic but it works. Great selection of products in the mini-bar and room service food is terrific - try the […] burger, would rate it as one of my best ever! Great roof top bar too and if you are in to beers, they have an mazing selection, I believe the cocktails are pretty impressive too. Läs mer

Great hotel right in the middle of Venice Beach. Roof top has a great view of the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It is not a great place to base yourself if you are planning to go to tourist things like Hollywood, Griffith park etc, i stayed in West Hollywood to do all tourist stuff then booked into this hotel to explore Venice Beach and surroundings. […] Hotel staff friendly and helpful, only down side is you have to pay for internet, which is almost always free in the USA. Basically good and comfortable, though very noisy on 6th floor from the bar above (music thumping till late at night on weekends) and trolleys rattling the ceiling. View of ocean and beach but also back alleys of the area with druggies and unloading vans. Polite staff, good breakfast in cafe, nice bathrooms - overall I'm in favour.

Nice View from Roof Top...but expensive. Have to make a Reservation, otherwise perhabs no access. The Rooms are Okay. The Hotel is very close tho the Beach. Very good working valet parking!

Couldn't be happier with our experience at Hotel Erwin. We've stayed at other hotels in the are that don't even come close to Hotel Erwin. We will absolutely stay there again. We had a brief but fantastic stay at the Erwin. The hotel was a wonderful location a few blocks from Venice beach. Theo rooftop bar was fantasic, The Balconys overlooking the ocean were wonderful. I realley enjoyed our stay at Erwin. It's the perfect location for exploring the beach cities by bike and enjoying the Venice Beach boardwalk. The only downside to our stay was the location of our room right next to the stair to the rooftop- really noisy during the evenings.

It took me a while to realize that something was off in the room. From the tiled floors, the unusual sink in the bathroom, the "open shower" configuration and the European shower spray handle, that the room I had was for handicapped people. Not that anything is wrong with that but if I'm paying an upgrade rate, I'd prefer not to have that quirky arrangement, […] so be sure and state your preference. Läs mer

This is one fantastic hotel right in the heart of Venice Beach. Great for walking, swimming, surfing or just kicking back.. All of the have a healthy "CAN DO" attitude and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We had a small issue with our room which was corrected immediatly. The view from the roof top at Sunset.. Two thumbs up.. My wife […] and I will stay again and would not hesitate in sending our friends. This hotel is a hip retreat from the craziness of Venice Beach. I was worried about the valet parking but that was great given home much more congested the area has become. The rooftop bar was pricey but worth it for the unparalleled view and ambiance.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Erwin. We brought a couple of friends with us and they absolutely love it as well. We have stayed at the Erwin a few times prior and we we're really impressed with their staff. I am not saying this is the best hotel ever but they definitely showed up other more expensive hotels with their customer service. I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel, next time that I come back to California I will stay at the same hotel. Thank you for your service.

i don't want to give it perfect stars because i don't want to give a naive review but that said, i have nothing but good things to say about this place. the hotel is clean and conveniently located right in the heart of the venice boardwalk. the staff were all courteous and friendly. i kindly asked to change my room and they receptively accommodated […] my request (tip: north facing room on the 6 floor will get you that romantic sunset beach view). it's a bit of a stroll to abbott kinney blvd but it's safe. waiting for the elevator was a pain but there is another elevator in the parking lot (in the back) or take the stairs. the offerings of hash (restaurant downstairs) and high (rooftop bar) don't reflect off it's (almost) pretentious prices. wish the hotel had free wifi. if you want to save a few more dollars, you can easily find parking on the streets (especially on the streets that surround the roundabout on main and windward) but the friendly valet staff make it easy. if ever i came back to venice and could shell out $$$ for the room, i would be sure to return to hotel erwin. i was there for a week so here are some other local tips: for yoga, check out studio surya yoga. rent your bikes from bike curious & mao's kitchen was a delight (vegan friendly too). enjoy! Me and my partner had been out travelling for a month and ended it all with 3-4days on Venice Beach at The Erwin Hotel. The hotel was located ridicilous close to the beach and everyone was sooooo very nice to us. The hotel it self were very chick, young and fresh. We loved it!
