Dessvärre ett riktigt skithotel, full renovering i lobbyn och rum som inte sett någon uppfräschning sedan tidigt 80 tal.

Lite sunkigt men jätte bra läge vid hamnen.

Läget är perfekt, med Bayside precis mitt över gatan (butiker, restauranger och en boardwalk vid vattnet), och South Beach en kort taxiresa bort. Hotellet känns dock ganska slitet, hissarna är riktigt trötta och luftkonditioneringen har problem att hålla fukten borta från rummen.... men det är ju inte helt ovanligt i Miami trots allt. Kan tycka att […] det är något för dyrt för standarden men det kompenseras i viss mån av det utmärkta läget. Parkeringen är inhägnad och låses nattetid men inga problem att komma in och ut trots det. Lämpligt hotell för de som behöver i anslutning till kryssningsterminalen

Perfekt läge till bra pris om man vill gå och titta på basket i American Airlines Arena, endast 300 meter till hallen och med närbelägen parkeringsplats. Dålig och seg frukost servering dock

Gammalt hotell och på sina håll lite slitet men inte så att det störde. Framförallt var rummen bra och kändes inte gamla. Ligger superbt mitt emot Bayside Marketplace med både butiker, restauranger (bl.a. Hooters och Hard Rock Café) och nöjesställen. Härifrån utgår även många turistbåtar som tar dig runt Miami på vattnet. Ligger även nära (dock taxiavstånd) […] hamnen om man ska vidare eller kommer från en kryssning. Bakom hotellet ligger dessutom en hållplats för Metromover som är en form av rälsbull ett par våningar ovan mark. Den är gratis. We had booked a king size bed for our overnight stay at this hotel based on online reviews and its location. Upon arrival at the hotel we went to the lobby desk to get our room. We were given two small double beds, didn't complain, oh well mistakes happen. However the next morning when we got up and was getting ready it was then we realized what an […] awful room we had. The shower head was broken, water was coming out from it about 6 inches from the wall, there was only one bar of soap provided for both the sink and shower, the mirror was set up for handicap so you had to bend down to see yourself, and the toilet seat was half off the bowl. This room was obviously designed for handicap (with the shower I don't know how they would have done it). Now the person who gave us this room knew were weren't handicap nor had we requested this. The room was far inferior than what we have ever stayed at. In the morning we had told them of the mistake made and the condition of the room and we were told we should have addressed it right away. I don't like to complain over every little issue, plus not every issues presents itself to you all at once, i.e. the shower and getting ready in the morning. It was the cumulation of all these things that I decided to write in this review as the staff said we should have addressed it right away. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is great; a stone's throw from the basketball arena where the Heat plays and right across the street from the waterfront. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Overall a very positive experience.

I have stayed at this hotel many times it's a very nice place to stay and is so convenient to shopping,great food, the cruise terminals, and the sports venues. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel served its purpose: a direct line from Key Biscayne to the port. The facility does not do justice to its location however. Run down. Fitness facility lame. Old carpets, etc. I would however consider staying there again if just for overnight and not spending time in the hotel itself.

This hotel is convenient to the port for the cruise lines, but it does need some updating. We didn't have a good experience as people checked into a room next to us around midnight and kept slamming the door shut and parting until almost 2 am. I called the front desk and nothing they could do, so I was told. Everytime I was almost asleep the door would […] slam again and I was woke up. First time in Miami, was worried about location and safety. This hotel is very nice, accross the street from an outdoor mall w/live music and restraunts. I believe the mall was called Bayside. We were only here for a day awaiting our cruise. Felt very safe. Taxi from airport was much cheaper that the shuttle service, approximately half the cost.

Perfect location of this hotel just next to the nice place of the port - lots of life around like restaurants, bars and shopping - Breakfast menu very good - clean room - will probably choose this place again. Good value for the money !

Hotel is showing it's age, but adequate for the price. Clean and comfortable, but can hear doors slamming and others in the hallway all night. The best thing is the location. We stayed one day/night pre- cruise. No shuttle to cruise port, but taxi reasonable and quick. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Excellent ubication. Problems with elevators. Hotels.com sold us with breakfast the hotel, and when we get there they told us that was not inlcuded.

This hotel was perfectly placed across from a Marina/Shopping Centre.Quick cab ride to the Port. We went to South Beach for the afternoon can be pricey if you don,t ask for recomendations from hotel staff. Overall great place to stay will do again in 2012 when we are taking a cruise with 5 other couples.

We stayed Jan 12 - 14th, before boarding a cruise on the 14th. The rooms were clean, but the hallways were dated. We stayed here in 2008, and while it's nice to see the old restaurant has been done away with (thank goodness, the manager was awful, service was even worse - think 2.5 hours for apps and entrees, which were inedible), the same issue remains […] with the elevators! There was one down in 2008, and there was still one done during this visit! It makes for a very, very long wait. We have a 9 month old son, and having to wait 20 minutes + for an elevator is excruciating. I'm sure the staff is tired of the complaints, but their lacklustre attitude to it leaves something to be desired. We stayed with a party of 19, and one of the other couples was given 2 twin beds - for their 35th wedding anniversary. It's nice to be near the port, and the marketplace, but there's not much else to do in the immediate area. We may or may not stay here again, depending on pricing in the area. Läs mer

The location great - its right in the centre of Miami waterfront, right where you want to be. Lots of good shops and restaurants close by. We had a room at the front of the hotel, with a waterfront view of the harbour, cruise ships and beyond - beautiful sunrises. We were very pleased with that. The Holiday Inn has a very smart lobby and is discretely […] undergoing renovations - staff told me our room on 7th floor was recently renovated and was modern with very comfortable beds although I felt the bathroom was a little shabby. Car park staff and check-in staff were polite and very helpful - concierges were too but lacked knowledge about car rental from anyone other than Enterprise - we went over to the nearby Intercontinental (sister hotel) which has an Alamo desk and got a good deal - and picked the car up on the spot. Downside - the rooms have thin walls - very then - so if you are can't cope with noise in the adjoining rooms and corridoor, this hotel may not be for you. (Latin guests are very loud, without seeming to be aware of it!) You really can hear everything going on around you, including toilet use! The swimming pool is small, located in walled yard between the back door and the car park - quite cramped and not much ambience or sunshine. Overall - the hotel was good value for money, especially for a city-centre hotel. (Intercontinental was well over double the price. My only disappointment is that the internet service does not work well. VERY VERY SLOW

I like the convenience of this hotel when we are cruising. It is in the port of miami and right across from the bayside market. can't have a better location! however the hotel was under rennovation when we went and we were unaware of that. PLUS the power went out at 8 pm-midnight!! It was so dark and we were never even comp'ed for it. Hotel is very convenient to the port. We stayed for one night prior to a cruise. The hotel staff at check in was not friendly and offered little info other than where the elevator was. They are updating the hotel and the elevators are slow and need replaced. We had a room nearby and we could hear stops made throughout the night. Lets begin with the fact we had stayed at this hotel 4 years ago. It is in a very convenient location and they have made some lovely upgrades in the lobby since then. However the customer service and condition of the elevators is not acceptable by any means. Our most recent stay was for 2 days/2 nights. We booked a room for 4 adults with 2 double beds […] and a kitchenette (basically a mini fridge and microwave). The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything else from here on is not acceptable. We were given 2 coffee cups for 4 adults. We were not able to make tea for the tea drinkers as they did not have a kettle available for us. Therefore only the coffee drinkers had their morning coffee in our room. A request at front desk for 2 additional cups for us was a no go, they don't have any extra cups there. We were asked to call housekeeping. So that's what we did only to wait and wait with no sign of the cups. Caught up with a cleaning lady in the hallway and she didn't understand what a coffee cup was, so I showed her and she didn't have any extras. Called housekeeping again, still no cups arrived, so we had to have tea and coffee as a group downstairs. Not acceptable at all. The housekeeping was not up to our standards. Our room was not cleaned until late in the afternoon. We called and we were told they can clean up to 5:00 at night. Most hotels we've stayed in will clean the room before noon. I have saved the worst for last. The elevators! There are a total of 3 elevators. When we arrived only 1 was working. At certain times during our 2 day stay there would be 2 elevators in service. This hotel is fairly large in a high tourist district so there were many guests needing the elevators. At one particular time we waited over 20 minutes on our floor along with another 10 guests with suitcases for the elevator. In the end we took the stairs down 5 flights only to end up in the back alley. We spoke with many other quests to find out that it had been like this all week Läs mer

It is just across the street from the Bayside Market Place. The people at the front desk were helpful and efficient. The room was clean. There is no complimentary breakfast but I really liked the lemon& mint iced water and apples available 24 hours.in the lobby. The only thing was that I was given a misinformation from one of the concierge people about […] the bus tour that I made a reservation through him. When I found out that there was a difference between what I heard from him and what the tour company offered me, I called the hotel but the only answer was that that particular person is now off duty and there is nothing they can do. I recommend if you do not want unpleasant surprise on your vacation day check every information about the options and tours yourself and not to depend too much on oral communication. Läs mer

Parking situation was terrible, they have a few spots, and all overflow must park in private lot. The private lot was staffed by a severely intoxicated man, and was nervous to even leave the rental there. One of the hotel elevators was out of service, and there was renovations being done all over the hotel. Although they didnt start work early, they […] were banging so hard on the walls, that one of my shower tile cracked. I dont know why they put customers in rooms on the same floor as a rennovations, (common sense i would think?) Couldnt wait to check out, there are much better options available for business traveler, mostly around the airport. Only plus, Bayside was within walking distance across the street. Läs mer

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It is old and dirty. It is currently being remodeled but I have to say that our room was gross! It smelled, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and our bed was dirty! I wanted to get out of there asap! We even left early to the airport. We picked this hotel for the closiness to the Port for our cruise the next day! IT was very nice, close to everything! we walked to everything... shopping across the street as well as food! the water... we could see our ship from the hotel room! and the water!!! its literally across the street from everything! if i could change something it would def. […] be the small parking lot!!! but other then that! worth it :) will go there everytime for our cruises! and it was the cheapest parking in miami and only place i could fit 5 Adults in a room with no extra fees!!! :) very nice and comfy as well!!! Due to quite a large the renovation of the hotel while we were there, the hotel, as a whole, was "under construction. It would have been nice to know this before checking in. The location is great. The Bayside Market is directly across the street and it is very close to a variety of other venues. The restaurant within the hotel could have used more […] help (waiters/waitresses) for they seemed overwhelmed at times. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would stay there again. Läs mer

Hotel is undergoing construction - no noise but some drop cloths; construction equipment at various points in the hotel. Hotel rooms are small, tight squeeze for more than two people, but they do manage to fit in two double beds, two chairs and a small table. Don't expect to walk to table area if one of the chairs are used because it blocks the pathway. […] Rooms are clean and comfortable beds- clean bathrooms with great smelling shampoos, soaps etc. Hot water (sometimes too hot, need to check the temp safety on this for safety of children). Ice cold air which is great in Florida, television etc - not yet a modern hotel (no flat screens etc) but clean and in good shape. Very convenient location - GPS doesn't pinpoint exact location so can be tricky to find, just look for main street facing harbor. Parking is behind hotel, but various public parking spots all around area. Hotel restaurant has good breakfast buffet, servers are great and friendly. Overall, great price for Miami area , great location, 7/10 because of small rooms and older hotel. Läs mer

Was nice for what we needed it for. The front desk smelled like urine and the all over had so musty smell. If you need it for a.d. quick stay out is fine. Close too everything which is awesome.

I liked very much the location of this hotel. It is surrounded by plenty of activity and shopping. However, the rooms are dated and small for the price we paid.

Across from Bayfront Park - with restaurants, shops and entertainment - close to the port for those who are crusing - but - not your best choice at this time. The staff seems harried as the hotel has a daily turnover of guests who are constantly in need of help/directions/etc.- the carpeting soiled - drapes ripped/rotting from the constant sun - spots […] on walls. Pretty sad conditions - yet HI plans improvemnets in 2012 - so wait a while before booking this hotel. Läs mer

Hotel is in a great location, bayside is great food and entertainment. Only thing is they are remodeling! Other then that hotel is very nice! Pool area is great. Parking area is very small. If you leave the parking area, you might not get a place to park! Just go across the street to Bayside area! Overall the stay was good, bed comfee!

Bottom line, not one person even acted like they cared about client satisfaction. Considering we are in a recession, people might take a job more seriously!!! Actually, rescession or not, actually give a darn about ones job. In addition, the pool deck was pathetic and dirty and the pool itself was as big as about six pool tables adjacent to each other. […] The SMALLEST PIECE OF CRAP POOL I have ever seen in ANY hotel!!!!!!
