Hotell Hotel Centrale - Bryssel

Bra hotell, men en icke fungerande hiss och nyckelkort (x 2- visade sig sedan vara ett känt dörrfel i just detta rum) drar tyvärr ned betyget. Möjlighet till att brygga te/kaffe på rummet skulle i mitt fall ge hotellet toppbetyg!

Som namnet anger ett mycket centralt beläget hotell. Det i kombination med att de hade gratis internet (och som sedan visade sig funka bra på hotellet, låg nere någon enstaka gång på 5 dagar) gjorde att jag bokade det. Första rummet vi visades till var en besvikelse, hotellet är ett slitet stadshotell och det var flera fläckar på möblerna och överkastet […] som gjorde att det kändes lite ofräscht. Rummet var mindre än det jag såg när jag bokade. Tips: Skriv ut din bokning inkl den bild som finns intill det rum du bokar. Flera lampor fungerade inte heller. Vi påpekade dessa faktum och vi fick se ett annat något större och speciellt mindre nerfläckat rum som vi fick byta till. Frukost ingår inte men går att köpa för tretton euro. Helt okej frukost. Jämfört med lika centrala hotell tror jag detta är ett prisvärt hotell. Dock finns det billigare som inte ligger mitt i smeten. Personalen var schyssta! Jag hade bokat 5 nätter för att leta permanent boende och skulle varje dag iväg till olika visningar. Varje gång frågade jag i reception hur jag skulle ta mig dit och fick kartor och google maps-utskrifter samt instruktioner av personalen. Som helhet kan jag rekommendera det om du vill ha ett standardhotell utan någon extravagans men med kompetent personal och ett finfint läge. Läs mer

Hotel Centrale ligger mycket centralt i Bryssel, fem minuters (om en det) från Gare Centrale och inte mycktet längre ned till kvarteren runt Grand Place. Hotellet är kanske lite opersonligt, men allt fungerar bra. Fast vi kunde inte hitta någon trappa så vi åkte hiss upp till första våningen. Bra frukost.

It was OK, the front desk man was not too helpful..

Very central. Bus stop to centre stops in front of hotel. Metro with underground link to Central Train Station is just next door. Very convenient cause there is direct link to airport from Central Train Station. The Grand Place is not more than 10 mins easy walking. The hotel was good value for money, helpful staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable […] room with manydifferent tv channels. The only minus point was the water pressure was very low and the glass shield did not really keep the water from flowing onto the floor instead of remaining the the bath. I stayed in this hotel in the days of the general strike in Belgium and the staff of the hotel were so kind and helped me a lot in such a bad moment to travel. I highly suggest it. Very well positioned and clean too.

NOTE TO HOTELS.COM--- Please delete my review of Ibis Charleroi Hotel because I think I wrote the Centrale review for Charleroi by mistake. Centrale's location is highly convenient to the train, metro, buses, and in easy walking distance to numerous attractions and places to eat. The neighborhood is fine. There is a computer in the lobby for guests […] to use. My room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff, especially the woman working in the evening, were helpful. Ask them for a map with the hotel on it; it's a good, clear map showing a lot of sites. I would definitely stay here if I return to Brussels. Läs mer

This hotel is ideal because it is situated extremely close to Brussels Central Train Station. Additionally, it is mid-way between the Uppertown and Lowertown sections of Brussels' historic center. The room was clean enough, and the bathroom was nice. I would certainly stay here again.

good location: close to Gare Centrale and the Grand-Place. Set a little away from the central area so it is quiet, but close to central area. Staff was very helpful.

Good points. Great location, 2 min walk from main station, 5 from Grand Place reasonable price (for Brussels) Rooms are nice (if a little small) Bad points main road outside so some traffic noise 4 stars is possibly a bit generous (a good ***) All in all a decent enough hotel

Room was big, but bathroom is cramped and not very clean, bed was horrible. The only thing going for it is location!

Excellent location, very friendly staff and comfortable room. Only downside was water was not very hot. Otherwise great value for money stay.

I was very satisfied with the hotel location along with the quality of the room but I wasn't impressed with the hotel staff who were less than willing to answer any questions about the city. Additionally the water in the showers was never hot.

The location of this hotel is superb with only 5 mins walk from the Central Station and the main tourist attraction, Grand Place. The hotel condition itself is satisfactory, the bed however is a little uncomfortable to sleep on. Our first night stay was changed to a single bed room due to some unforeseen circumstances at the hotel where me and my wife […] have to squeeze on a single bed. Room is a little bit small.

The hotel was in a great location, very close to old town and the subway. The staff was very kind, and easily helped with relocating our room (due to smoking). However, we would not rate this hotel as 4-star accomodations.

You get what you pay, the problem with the hotel is that the room we stay is next to a smoking room is like been in a smoking room to, you have to be sure to be check in in to the 2 floor that are non somking to be really in a no smoking room. Great location and size of the room.

Our phone did not work, the safe did not work, the bathtub was not clean. It was good for location and we only stayed one night.

This hotel is located very close to Gare Centrale. Having said that, it is also quite a noisy neighborhood - sirens, traffic and people having a good time on the streets. However, it is convenient to all the sites one wants to visit as a tourist. Computer available in the public area for use on the internet, email, etc.

Hotel Centrale is located just a few blocks from many desired destinations, including the train stations, Grand Place, upscale shopping areas, and parking lots. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, even if they didn't know how to assist. The room was clean, the beds were super-comfortable, and room temperature was manageable, meaning that […] it was very hot when we arrived, but we turned on the air conditioner before we left for dinner in the evening, and when we returned, it had cooled down to a comfortable temperature. This is a wonderful hotel. It is very well decorated, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable and the staff are superb. It is also situated in a very good location. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality hotel in Brussels.

Over priced. Listed as a 4 star and it is hardly 3 stars. Room was run down and noisy (1st floor facing street). Bathroom drain was plugged up and mold in the shower. Had to go to the front desk to get a light bulb for the lamp next to the bed. Staff was nice. Location excellent.

The Hotel Centrale was conveniently located close to the Brussels central station. This was the main reason for our stay at this hotel. Indeed, the hotel was within walking distance of the central station and other attractions in Brussels (restaurants, movie theaters, museums, and parks). The one suggestion I have about this hotel is that the personnel receive customer service training. This hotel is literally right on top of one of the exits from the Gare Centrale metro stop. It's a few blocks from Grand Place/Grote Markt. And the rooms have air conditioning! Oh, sweet, sweet comfort in July. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were fine. When we first checked in, we were given a different room that would not have earned […] such a glowing review. It was a bit run-down, and the wifi was nowhere to be found. Location was good, but the room had a mad musk, my check-in was delayed for no fault of mine, the internet and TV didnt work and the front desk lady usually just shrugged her shoulders if I asked any question. Overall assessment - if you ONLY want a bed to sleep in, then book it.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel by any means. The rooms are clean but old. The rooms air was not working very well. The hotel location is nice as it's near the train staion and between the Parc and Grand Place. As a woman traveling alone on this trip I did not feel totally comfortable walking from the Grand Place at night in the dark back to the hotel. […] I did not see anything shady, it was more of a feeling. The beds were not very comfortable and the shower is an adventure in trying not to get water all over the place. There is a computer in the lobby for guest use which was very helpful. I did not have very much interaction with the staff. They seemed nice enough and all spoke english. However on the last day when I checked out I was told that i had taken chocolate from the mini bar. When I informed him that I had not he continured to question me about the chocolate. It felt like an accusation. I was not impressed with my overall experience it was only ok up to that point, but the rude nature of that encounter really put me off. If you are looking for a fairly cheep, clean hotel it's not bad. But for my money next time I'll look for something else. I would rather have paid a more for a nicer hotel. Läs mer

The hotel was nice but as the room was overlooking the street, the strret noise was quite substantial, especially at night. The double glasing was not sufficient.

This hotel is tucked away in a quite area of Brussels, conveniently located by the Central metro stop, 10-15 minute walk from the Grand Place.

The hotel is in a great location, just minutes walk from the Grand Place. The hotel though has no air con - or certainly none that worked. We were changed to a different bedroom for our 2nd night as we complained about the heat in the 1st room but the 2nd room was just as bad.

Avoid this hotel . The air conditioning did not work, they wouldn't find me another room, insisted on fixing it, unsuccessfully. After 3 1//2 hors they found another room. The bed was concave, I kept rolling to the center and did not sleep, the carpet was filthy, and the wireless did not work. I would rate this a 1 star hotel, not 4 stars as stated […] by hotels.com. This hotel was nice and had its own character. It is set in a narrow 7 story building with two rooms on the 7th with a balcony. I was fortunate enough to get the balcony room. I believe they are 71 and 72 if you want to request them. The rooms were clean but the bed and pillow smelled like the cleaning person smoked a pack of cigarettes while doing […] the laundry. Other than that this place is in a great location right next to the Central Station which is the hub for the Rail and Metro services. In a five minute walk you can be sitting in the middle of Grand Place and all the shops and restaurants. Läs mer

Upon arrival at the hotel the front desk told us check in was at 2:00pm although when booked it shows 12:00 noon. The man working the front desk was friendly and helpful and upgraded us to a suite. The location is great with the hotel being right next to the central station which has lots of options to use public transportation within just a few minutes' […] walk. The carpet in the rooms needs to be updated as it was stained in numerous spots around the room, other than the carpet, the room was in good condition and the beds were comfortable. Bonne situation proche du centre ville. Par contre pas de parking auto. Bon rapport qualité/prix Classement 4 étoiles locales ne correspondant pas aux critères hexagonaux.

Fint hotel til prisen. Vores ene vindue kunne dog ikke lukke samt vi havde bestilt 2 enkelt senge, det var ikke muligt da vi kom frem. Ligger meget centralt og det var formålet.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in Brüssel und dafür war dieses Hotal optimal. Super Lage, Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel (Sonntags free) und an der Ausstattung gabs überhaupt nix zu meckern. Kann ich für unseren Preis nur weiterempfehlen und würde selbst jederzeit wiederkommen. =) Daumen hoch!!

En vrac: taches sur la moquettes, moisissures dans la salle de bain, température de la douche impossible à régler convenablement, isolation phonique des fenêtres mauvaise, lit et coussins peu confortables, Ascenseur en panne, etc...
