Hotell som satsat mer på design än det praktiska. T.ex. är badsväggarna i glas vilket må vara snyggt, men inte särskilt lämpligt om man inte reser som ett par. Dessutom är det väldigt lyhört med tunna väggar i badrummet. Personalen är väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma, men området drar ner betyget. Det här hotellet har ett personligt tilltal, då grundaren har en egen filosofi som han redovisar i diverse skrifter, t.ex. en fotobok och ett litet häfte med aforismer om sömn som ligger i morgonrocken. I mitt rum låg även en "överlevnadsguide för "expats" (expartates), som jag hade stor nytta av. Det kan vara läge att kolla in vad maträtterna heter […] på tjeckiska - inte alla har översatta menyer. Hotellet erbjuder även "jogging-sightseeing" två morgnar i veckan, för den stressade som vill hinna med allt (jag testade inte det, men ta med joggingskor - Prag bjuder in till förflyttning till fots!). Det enda negativa med hotellet är att det kostar mer än en tvårättersmiddag på en närliggande restaurang att äta frukost där! Som tur är finns det gott om alternativ i kvarteren runtomkring, inte minst på vägen till Tyn-katedralen, för mindre än en tredjedel av priset. Å andra sidan ställer de fram en espressomaskin med croissanter i lobbyn på förmiddagarna, och saft och fruktskål på eftermiddagarna, som man får ta av - trevligt! De hade heller ingen koll på flygbussarna, men det är ju inte så krångligt om man har kommit så långt, och det går lika snabbt, och med tätare trafik, att åka kollektivt (bara ett byte). Läs mer

Min dotter o jag var i Prag och bodde på Hotell Josef förra veckan, den 12 maj - 15 maj. Hotellet var helt fantastiskt, fräscht, fridfullt, rent o snyggt, trevlig personal. Nära till det mesta, bra gångavstånd till sevärdheter, vi kommer att bo där igen, nästa gång vi åker till Prag. Rekommenderas varmt.

Bra läge Rena bra rum. Vi fick balkong dessutom. Trevlig personal med hög servicevilja. Ät dock frukost på stan... Ej prisvärt.

Ett mycket bra hotell,mitt i city men ändå väldigt lugnt och tyst på hotellet,nära till många sevärdheter,bra service och ett fint bemötande av all hotellpersonal. Detta var inte sista gången vi använder detta hotell.

Det bedste hotel vi har boet på i Prag. Luxus uden snobberi - meget serviceminded personale. Moderne, bekvemmeligt og rent hotel med en perfekt beliggenhed. Den bedste morgenmadsbuffet, der serveres sent....

loved the Josef.. liked where it was located and the staff was great in helping us in all of our needs. great plus to have a driver pick up and return you to the airport.. had the breakfast once.. very nice... so is the coffee in the lobby for our convenience.

Close to old town square (walking distance),.Brand new hotel and free internet. Very, very clean and perfectly appointed. Secure garage. Staff spoke flawless English as well as other languages and were very helpful directing me to the sights. Highly recommended.

Loved this hotel! Very well maintained and in a great location. Only drawback is that the toilet and shower feel like they're in the room instead of in their own separate room.

The Hotel Josef was within walking distance to all local tourist sights. Clean modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

I have stayed at Hotel Josef three years running now and will be returning again in the future.

this was the perfect hotel for our recent five-day trip to prague. it was easy to walk to surrounding neighborhoods or take the subway to those farther away. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. and the rooms were kept very clean. only downside was the beds are quite firm.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Josef. Staff were very courteous, extremely helpful and went out of their way to accomodate all of our requests. The rooms were very clean, nicely appointed- lcd TV and amenities,, the beds comfortable. I really liked the comfortable down pillow and blankets. It's centrally located and a short 5-10 minute walk to the historic […] town square, ancient churches and synagogues, and tons of restaurants. We even found a huge supermarket "Alberts"a few blocks from the hotel. The only comment I have is that I would have liked a soap dish on the bathroom sink counter. Had a really lovely stay here on a November weekend. We were 3 in a room for two, but the couch converted into a full size bed and there was enough space in the room to move about very easily even with the extra bed. Really appreciated that the hotel had provided three sets of everything (including bathrobes) without us having to even ask - which usually […] gets forgotten about. Was very happy with condition of the room - very clean, crisp white linen, and clearly a new building. The *only* thing I was disappointed by was that the towels were really of the cheapest kind. Very thin and not at all fluffy - I get better at my gym for free, so was very disappointed with them (and I'm a sucker for fluffy towels). Location is great as well - only 5 min walk from the old town square, but feels like you're really in Prague instead of in a tourist trap. Its a bit more of an edgy neighborhood with some hostels/beer halls, but all the clientelle seemed to be middle aged travellers or business travellers, so hotel itself felt fine. Didn't have breakfast, so can't speak to that, but they did have free coffee/tea and cake in the lobby when we checked out, which was handy. Läs mer

Hotel Josef is in a perfect location close to all the major sites, shopping and restaurants. The staff was great especially Oxiana, Jimi and Jan. They were very friendly and super helpful. The hotel itself has a hip, boutique feel to it. The business center is equipped with new iMac computers, which was a bonus. The only downside would be that their […] breakfast buffet was about $27 a day per person. We found a small bakery/cafe around the corner and another place called Pasta Cafe which were much cheaper. Excellent and professional staff. Can't say enough about the people who work at this Hotel. However, the breakfasts are not accommodating unless you get a buffet package before you get there. There is no al la carte and the per day rate is pricey.

I couldn't fault the hotel - great location in the old town and extremely helpful staff.

Perfectly located hotel and excellent price. Free coffee,tea and fruit in the lobby in the mornings. The recpetion staff speak great English (and other languages of course) so they are extremely helpful. Easy and short cab ride to train station. Metro trolleys are one block away. Rooms are modern but small and comfortable. Breakfast is expensive so […] be sure to book with breakfast included. We saw Swan Lake at the National theatre and highly recommend that you book tickets for Opera or ballet while you are in Praha. Läs mer

This was a perfect location for walking and exploring Prague. The hotel is very close to the old town square with loads of restaurants and shops nearby. We did not take the breakfast at the hotel, as it was nearly 20 euro charge - just not worth it. There are many coffee shops and other places nearby for a much less expensive breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay, great location, service, and very clean.

The only caveat is that breakfast was not included with our stay and is extremely expensive at the hotel.

Location, Location, Location. If that's important to you then this is the place. Only a few blocks from Old Town Square and only a few blocks from the metro. I found the hotel neat and clean, and the staff excellent. I had one bad experience with a tour organized through the hotel. Excellent service. Near the major sites.

The rooms are decorated all ultra modern! Loved the super comfy bed and relaxing soaker tub. The breakfast is highly recommended; very delicious. The staff was sooooo nice and helpful. The free WiFi and HBO was a nice extra touch. The Hotel Josef is right next to the Old Towne Square, easily within walking distance. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel was amazing! Loved the decor, the staff, and the central location! We chose a standard room, as we prefer a more private bathing area. The rooms on the lower floor facing the street seem to have the best view. ALWAYS INCLUDE BREAKFAST IN PRICE

Liked hotel and location. Only complaint would be that you could hear noise from hallway in room. However, was not distracting enough to impact my stay.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the Municipal House square, so it's in a very central location to Old Town. The property is euro-modern, with comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. There is a great breakfast buffet also. Highly recommended.

Hotel is in a great location and would love to recommend however there was an issue as on arrival we were advised a computer problem had led to some double bookings. As a consequence we were given a twin room instead of the double room we had ordered. We don't get away that much for weekends and this was quite disappointing. We were offered the alternative […] of going to another hotel for one night and then coming back (to a twin room) which wasn't overly appealing. I feel more apology could have been made, maybe offer a free drink at the bar, or something like that. We really enjoyed our stay at the Josef. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms and hotel grounds are exceptionally clean. The lobby & bar area is very comfortable and there is a nice garden to sit in as well. Breakfast is very good although expensive. Hotel Josef is the perfect hotel for the modern traveler. Welcoming, convenient, clean and pleasant... great property, super location, and the staff is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the major sites. Also, the design and decor is very attractive, as well as the clientele!

The hotel was very centrally located , everything could be reached on foot. The hotel itself was everything that it promised to be. Service was excellent.

Not a single complaint about Hotel Josef. The ideal home base for our five-day stay in Prague.

I got a great deal on the room price and the location is great, close enough to the sites without being in the touristy section. It is a very modern designer hotel on a quiet street. The room was very quite, clean and comfortable, with nice luxury touches. There is a nice bar area in the lobby. The only negative was the charge for the breakfast, nearly […] $30 US, for a buffet that was excellent and far above the average fare, but in most European hotels the breakfast is included and there was never an indication that there was a charge for the breakfast until the second day when I was handed a bill to sign. Though a good breakfast the price is not a good value it is way too much for breakfast; however, my room rate was at a discount so it didn't break my budget.
