Hotell Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove - Miami

Jag är jättenöjd med mina två nätter på sonesta bayfront! Jättefint rum med pentry och fräscht badrum. Underbar säng. Enda minus var läget, det tog ca 20 min bil till Miami south beach men jag valde sonesta för att det låg granne med mina vänners lgh inte för läget. Jättenöjd!

The staff was friendly and the neighborhood was great. It was hard to get a taxi at times but the hotel staff did everything they could to get me one. The view from a balcony room was great and the pool and gym were also nice. I would definitely stay there again.

We booked an ocean-view room over graduation weekend and got put in a shoebox sized room with a window. Looks like nearly every other ocean-view room had a balcony. Called but all rooms were full. Appointments seemed to vary - ours had a tile hallway and floor and thin wall to an adjoining room so we got a lot of noise from the hallway and next door. […] It worked for its purpose but we'd go elsewhere next time we need to be in the area. Hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. The staff was very accommodating and the dining was very enjoyable. The only downside was that our particular one-bedroom suite was in need of some repairs. Some of the floor tiles were cracked, one of the showers made a very loud while noise while running and hot water seemed to be in short supply […] . Läs mer

Only stayed one night but it was very enjoyable. Right in the heart of Coconut Grove -- easy walking distance to shops and restuarants. View was beautiful and pool was very nice. Went on a great run right from hotel along a bike path. Park nearby.

this hotel is beautiful but if you are don't have a rental car - don't expect to get a cab - I waited an hour for one and was late to a dinner - and this was after I called it 30 minutes before I came down. We really liked the hotel location, view, and most of the service. We were REALLY dis-appointed to receive a "superior" room that did not have a balcony. According to their in room hotel description only STANDARD rooms do not have a balcony. As the hotel was sold out we could not even negotiate an upgrade to balcony. Upon check out the front desk sent […] the bell man but did not call for our car. We almost missed our flight even though we were only 15 minutes away from the airport. We had to wait almost 30 minutes as there were MANY TENNIS PLAYERS waiting ahead of us to get their car. The valet was very sorry and reported the incident to the front desk, but that was of no real value. We still had to wait as the only ONE poor car hop ran his butt off trying to get everyone's car. Upon arrival I was impressed with the modernity and cleanliness of the grounds and lobby and suite. As for my suite, they upgraded me upon request and I was extremely satisfied with the higher floor and the better views of the bay.

Loud noise from band down the street that kept us awake all night. Had to finally move rooms at 1:30AM. Manager said they are working with the City to shut down the outside band that is loud and never stops. room and view were superb but the loud noise defeats the nice hotel. I would not have a problem staying at this hotel again, particularly if the rate was much lower than other hotels like the Ritz. Nice lively location. Live music at Coconut Walk can be heard late at night (i.e. 1am) in the hotel room. This was not a major problem for me but it could be for others. Valet staff was friendly but I did not get a warm welcome […] from the front desk. I enjoyed dinner and wine at the restaurant on the 8th floor by the pool. Rudy was a great server and remembered my favorite wine. Pool did not look as attractive during the day. Dim lighting was able to hide dingy pool pillows. Room chairs were dated. Pay the extra money for the bay view room - If you get a city view room, you can stay in another hotel for a lot less money. The parking ($23 per night) was ridiculous for a hotel in this location, but that was really my only complaint. Great location. Beautiful room with a great view of the city. Nice pool and bar. Helpful and professional staff. Easy access (walkable) to shopping, variety of dining options and night life activities. We had a blast and will return. Highly recommend you visit.

The public areas are in an acceptable state of repair whereas guest rooms are tired, worn and not all that clean. Food and drink purchased at the hotel is expensive. Guest services staff not particularly friendly or attentive. The best part of the stay was the view from the room - but don't expect the window to open!

The A/C was making a lot of noise, we ask them to check it. Suppously the had fix it but they did not. My wife got sick the second day and she couldn´t get out the room until late that day, when we ask someone at the front desk to clean the room the fisrt answer was NO!!!!

We try to book suites so our daughter has a separate room from us, and we chose this hotel because it seemed "nice" and had real suites (i.e. more than a sitting area across from the bed) while being half the price of the Ritz-Carlton. Well, we were very impressed. Bonus points for the kitchen: loved having a real fridge/freezer with ice maker, real […] drinking glasses and real wine glasses, and somehow it just feels better getting a glass of water from a kitchen sink than a bathroom washbasin! I could quibble about the bathroom only being accessible from the bedroom, but it's not a big deal. We ended up in a corner suite, which they told us was an upgrade. The balcony had both chairs and loungers, was accessible from both rooms, and overlooked the bay. More bonus points. The hotel is in a great location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A gentleman named, I think, Gustav, was particularly helpful. If I have to find things to critique as well as praise: the beer selection at the pool could have been more exciting (but the caipirinha was good!), and of course it was loud on Friday night. It's Miami, and a hotel near the action will be noisy come party time. Download a free white noise app for your smartphone and get a pair of "Quiet Please" earplugs. The minute you walk in you feel like you are in a boutique hotel - smelled amazing and the staff was courteous and friendly. The room had an amazing view and all the amenities were great. Being so close to restaurants and shopping was also perfect as well as lots of great walking areas.

Nice hotel in a great location in the Groove. Rooms were clean and comfortable, however could hear TV in room next door so I needed earplugs to fall asleep. Also, paid for a deluxe bay view on this website, but then was only given a city view when I checked in. Had to tell the hotel this and forward my email confirmation to them proving this was the […] case. They then upgraded to a bay view. I highly recommend the poolside restaurant and the neighborhood is wonderful. Our room's balcony was so tiny that a chair could not fit. There was grime on the minibar, and missing lightbulbs in the bedside lamp. All that said, the area may make me a repeat customer.

We stayed here for 5 nights in mid November. We found the hotel to be clean, quiet and very comfortable (bed was great too) and had no complaints with any aspect of the stay here (except maybe cold hallways). The hotel is in a good location with some very good restaurants within a few minutes walk and we also had a very nice dinner in the restaurant […] in the hotel as well. Parking at the hotel, although pricey, was very convenient and the hotel's location was a good starting point for day trips to Key West, Miami Beach and the Everglades. Although the first impression of this hotel is gorgeous, the rest was less than desirable. The valet line was always backed up making for an aggravating time waiting to drop off your car, however the valet crew were pretty quick to retrieve the car which was nice. The check in was a bit awkward, we asked for an upgrade, was told there was one available […] and then another associate came over, said something in another language and then we were told the upgrade was no longer available. Well we had already paid for the room through Hotels.com and gave our debit card for "incidentals", and the next morning find out the entire amount was taken from our debit card, causing all of our weekend spending funds to be tied up in holding with the bank. Our room was pretty and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, however every time we needed to flush the toilet we had to lift the lid and jiggle the chain because the handle wasn't working, as well as the sink being clogged to the point where we couldn't even use it. At checkout, we discreetly told the clerk about our issues and were offered nothing more than I'm sorry and you owe $65 for the mini bar. Coming from someone that works in the service industry, I would have done a lot more to make sure the customer left happy, instead I left very disappointment and will not be back. Läs mer

Beautiful hotel. It's right next to Coco Walk (a small outdoor shopping area with some resturants). Coconut Grove it nice but not really the heart of the city so if you are looking for the city nightlife, shopping, etc it's a taxi ride away. The hotel was very nice, staff very helpful. My room had a complete kitchen/ fridge. My only real complaint was […] there was no place to print a boarding pass. I was directed to a computer that charged $8 for 15 minutes of use. This is the first hotel I've been to recently that didn't have a computer for guests to print boarding passes. I would stay here again if I was in the area. Läs mer

Always a treat staying at this hotel. Originally were in a room without a balcony or much of a view. Hotel staff was kind enough to scrounge up a new room with a balcony overlooking the pool and bay which was fantastic. Staff has always been extremely attentive and accomodating. One would be hard-pressed to find a problem with the hotel.

Our first room looked great ... but no hot water. A few calls later, that was repaired ... only to discover that there was no electricity for the hair dryer. The engineer was not able to repair. We were moved to another room without the bayview and ... no hot water. That was repaired but made us late for a dinner meeting. When we were finally able […] to leave for dinner, the garage sent up the wrong car ... which was better than the next day when the driver brought up the correct car ... and hit a railing. At least the front desk supervisor was on her game - we were comp'd for the next day's breakfast & dinner and did not have the pay the $23/day parking fee. Läs mer

After having a confirmed reservation for months, my husband and I arrive at the hotel ready to check-in and are told no rooms were available due to the hotel being oversold. Only after my husband had a meltdown in the lobby did the manager give us a room. The rooms were only average as they need updating and better decor. The view is lovely.

Nice hotel, but staff needs more training in customer service. Even though I was staying 2 days, they deactivate your room cards on the first day. The wait staff in the eighth floor restaurant was plentiful, especially in that there were only two other customers in the place. The location is great but otherwise this is a 2-star hotel. In the room it feels like you are in one of those Super 8 motels on the highways not like a 4 star hotel in Coconut Grove! There was that "old stuff" smell in the room and the bath-top was stained with with the marks of the bath-mat. I recently went there to enjoy a birthday weekend with my boyfriend and we were a bit disappointed with the service we received at the reception desk. The overall look of the hotel was gorgeous, but it's mainly the lobby area that was appealing. The room they first tried to give us was not the room described on hotels.com. Very small and didn't have […] a balcony. And the receptionist, Daniela, was extremely rude about switching our room. First she tried to charge us addtl $ but we showed her our booking info and then felt obligated in switchig the room. When we got our corrected room, it was very pretty and clean. Pros: Room was clean, view was outstanding, service was great, free wireless internet, location is great, near food and drink (ask the valets for recommendations). Cons: No HBO, etc., computers in the lobby to print a boarding pass cost money, valet parking only.
