Hotellet ok. Men, før mycket bussar, taxi, (också sopbilar) etc, som hela tiden står med motorn på, nær gæster skall dærifrån eller dit. Den tiden kunde vara alltifrån en kvart till en timme! Men det var i stort hela dygnet, med några få timmars uppehåll mitt i natten. Vi bodde på 8 våningen, ændå¨var det extremt mkt ljud. Nær bussar/stora bilar backar […] gør de ett tutande ljud hela tiden och det blir många sådana under en hel dag. man står inte ut med att vara dær før længe åt gången! Vanliga bussar stannar också precis vid hotellet (vilket i och før sig ær bra!), men de gør också ljud (tutande, små korta ljudstøtar) varje gång dørrarna øppnas och folk skall ut eller in. Hotellets balkonger ær utan møbler! Varfør då balkong, skall man hela tiden bæra ut innemøblerna, eller? Mærkligt... Detta ær ingen kritik mot hotellets personal eller liknande, men vi frågade ganska tidigt om vi kunde få flytta upp så høgt som møjligt, de sa att de skulle kontakta oss så snart en møjlighet uppstod, men den uteblev tydligen, før vi fick aldrig den møjligheten. Ændå var det mycket omlopp i gæstbyten under denna månad. Hotellpersonalen ær allmænt trevliga, så det vi har upplevt ær ju inte deras fel. men, de kanske kan sæga till busschauførerna att stænga av sina motorer. både før miljøns och gæsternas skull. Vi hyrde in oss på andra hotell totalt sju nætter før egen kostnad, før att få lugn och ro. Vi vill fortfarande till Hawaii igen trots detta. Mvh, Jim S Läs mer

En del av receptionspersonalen var inte ett dugg hjälpsamma utan direkt otrevliga ibland. mycket dåligt med internetuppkoppling definitift ingen WI-FI på hela hotellet mycket svagt i dagsläget. ett för övrigt ganska slitet hotel men rent.

Bra och prisvärt. Trevligt med pool. Utmärkt städning. Positivt att det inte är extra avgifter för internet och Safebox på rummet

Får vad man betalar för och lite därtill, inget lyx men rent och fräscht och relativt stort. Bode på andra hotel i samma prisklass och de var inte i närheten av Ambassador. Rekommendera detta hotel!

my wife and I with our 4 month old baby had a lovely stay here, great simple hotel, spacious and clean room and in a great location. the cooking facilities came in very handy. we will stay here again next time.

This is a great place to stay with a family. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The room was large with a kitchen. We ate breakfast in our room every morning. Our two teen age boys slept in the living room on the two twin beds. This arrangement was good. The hotel is dated, so if you are looking for a modern up to date hotel don't stay here you will be dissapointed. […] If you are looking for a hotel that is clean, family friendly, great staff and good location to stay that is inexpensive, this is your place. Also I noticed some reviews complaining of hidden fees. We had none. I asked up front when I called about any extra fees. I knew what to expect when I arrived. hotel was great, amenities, pool, clean, etc. location - was lacking,, quite a walk to reach all the restaurants, shops of kuhio ave. there are plenty of buses $2.50 a ride or $25 for 4 days.. so, if you don't like alot of walking, think twice about the ambassador hotel.. and -- these are ===long blocks to walk..

We were just looking for a 'day rate ' as we had a lay over. This worked out perfect. Walking distance to everything, nice pool. Room was spotless however very dated. Would recommend this for anyone on a budget or if you just need a place to drop your bags, have a shower and relax by the pool in-between flights.

The hotel staff were very helpful , the room was comfortable, but needed to keep the doors open because the room smelt either musty or from cooking .Location was handy.

Great for family. Convenience of kitchen and all utilities.

Our stay was quite pleasant, the staff were very helpful, the only, problems we found was being woken up at 4:00am in the morning with someone in the room above yelling and stomping about and a musty odour.

My wife and I were disappointed in the condition of our room. It was smoky but the staff changed gave us another room. Getting into our room proved to be a very difficult task. The balcony is not good and not safe for children. The beds are very uncomfortable. The sofa bed is a nightmare. Try sitting on it and wtaching TV is very difficult. Ok so this hotel is just about in the middle of the tourist places in Waikiki so the location is pretty convenient if you are a tourist. However, the beds are very outdated and uncomfortable. The kitchenette has old appliances and there isnt even a coffee maker in the room. The TV in the room is a very small flat screen and the in room movies are ridiculously […] priced. They have balconies with the rooms for you to enjoy the view and weather but no patio furniture to relax on. So in all this hotel wasnt too bad but its lack of investments on items to make the rooms comfortable and the guest feeling at home make me not want to go back. Enjoyed stay..staff very friendly and helpful with daily tours. Hotel has bus stop right out front and buses for tour picks up in front of hotel also. Beach is 1 block away..eating spots no problems (surrounded)

We spent 14 night at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. The beds are done and the towels changed every day. Good value for the money. Also we had a kitchen, so we cooked our own breakfast - the dishes were done immediately. The only bad thing was the noise from the garbage trucks starting at 7 a.m. The location is good as well, bus stop is just outside […] the door and all the shops are a short walk away. Staff was very friendly. Convenience store located right outside of hotel along with a Coffee Bean. Waikiki is within walking distance along with Market place for all your souvenirs. Hotel would have received a 5 all across but our bathroom sink had a little leak so floor was wet but no big deal.

Clean hotel in an great location with easy access and self-parking adjacent to hotel. The only problem involved a room door which didn't automatically shut. Apparently, the door jam or door was not properly sized and it required an extra force (slam) to shut. This was a minor inconvenience until just before the last night of our stay. We left the hotel […] in the morning but found the door not shut upon arriving in the evening. Fortunately, nothing was stolen from the room as all our belongings were there. May be an older building and in need of a little TLC but provided good, clean and basic accommodation. Had everything we needed. Room had bonus sink with crockery and cutlery, fridge; there was a safe and ironing facitlties. Network Wifi was availalbe at not extra cost. Walking distance to beach and all amenities. Hotel was perfect for our one night stay in Honolulu before our cruise. room was basic with a great balcony, great view of the city. Clean & nothing fancy, but the price was right! Within an easy walk of the wakiki downtown area. ( huge washroom and little kitchen area) Actually, could have stayed longer!!!!!

This hotel needs some upgrading although it was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have patio furniture on the balcony. Not having a restaurant in the hotel was inconvenient. A coffee machine in the room would have been nice. The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant.

We stayed one night, and only a couple of hours in the room itself (we really needed a place to store our bags until we left in the morning). You get what you pay for with this place. Its not luxurious. This hotel is simple and plain, it was clean but not quite comfortable. I suggest "a simple night stay" , not a week.

friendly staff, secure sensibility with key card elevator entry, clean room, convenient 24hour laundromat, convenient location at the edge of waikiki where there is less chaos...will always return!

This is a very old hotel that needs major upgrading. I stayed in room 312, which allowed the apartments next door to look into my room if I had my balcony curtains open. Extremely over-priced for what you get in return. They want you to check out at 11:00 on the dot too or pay extra. I will never stay here again.

Please ask the Hotel to equip each room with some basics such as plastic cups, coffee machines and condiments. How about conditioner? There was shamppo without contitioner. Those bed covers I thought needed some washing. Overall a good place to stay.

Great room for the price and the size is larger than others. The pool is nice and clean and everything was good. No Complaints.

Everything you expect for a three star hotel or even motel. Good value for money. You just have to walk about 1000 yards to beach. Our card was charged the full amount on booking.....maybe it was a sale deal.

We were on an overnight layover between LA and Incheon South Korea. Our goal was to spend the time available at the beach. The beach was a 10 minute walk. Not the nicest Hawaiian beach but served the purpose. So I'd stay there again if we had another overnight layover.

Beware if you have more than two people that are planning to stay in the same room. I wish that I could've found this kind of specific detail from past reviews before I booked this hotel. The Ambassador Hotel charges extra for extra people over two for a room with two double beds. One would think that two double beds can accommodate up to four small […] to average sized adults, and therefore, one hotel room should suffice. However, the Ambassador has a policy dictating a smaller maximum occupancy than I have seen with other hotels for equivalent types of beds/rooms. You would think that if you rented a room with triple beds that it would accommodate three people. Not here. Even though there were three beds in the room, they wanted to charge an additional fee on top of the published rate for a third person to stay in the room. This fee was not disclosed during booking. Nor was the parking fee. Nor was the deposit […] required. The hotel is older and is in need of a remodel. As originally quoted, I wouldn't have complained. Now with the new charges, combined with other undisclosed fees, I couldn't recommend it at all. Läs mer

This is a very clean,very friendly hotel that's in a very central location which means a short walk to downtown Waikiki or uptown to the Ala Mohana mall and it's right around the corner from My Fave restaurant the "Hard Rock Cafe" which has the best hot wings in town. The room that I stayed in had a awesome view of the mountains and the canal which […] has people Kayaking in it regularly so that's great to to watch from the lanai while having a beer. Roaches in first room had to move then internet does not exist they have ethernet--not specified on add--i was moved to another room different floor not exactly an upgrade-hotel does not staff overnight--

I don't see the need for too many bells and whistles in a hotel room when staying in a place like Hawaii. All that's necessary is that it's clean and that it's in a good location, and the Ambassador has both of those covered. We opted for a room with a kitchenette which proved useful for saving money by not going out to eat every night. The cleaning […] staff was very diligent to assure that our room was serviced when desired. They even cleaned a pan for us that needed a bit of scouring. As for location, the Ambassador is closest to Fort DeRussy Beach, a short walk through the adjacent park leads to one of the lesser-populated Waikiki beaches, but if you want the main beaches, they're not far either. We had a few excursions via TheBus planned into other parts of Honolulu and Oahu as well, and the Ambassador is located directly on routes 2, 13, and B -- all of which go into downtown, passing major transfer points along the way and it's not far from stops for the 19 and 20 which go to the airport. If you're looking for a Waikiki resort with jacuzzis and big screen TVs, the Ambassador is probably not for you, but if you're looking for a place to sleep that's also fine for just hanging around at the pool or in your room while you're not on the beach or otherwise touring on Oahu and Honolulu, the Ambassador is ideal. We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel Waikiki for three nights out of the 9 that we were in Hawaii and I have to say it was the best over the other two in price, location, and to be able to relax. We stayed at the Hilton Village for 3 days as well, mind you the view was better, but the felling of being welcomed and to be able to relax was not there. This hotel is in a fantastic location and walking distance to shops and beach in Waikiki. Also virtually next door to a car rental shop. For the price you pay this hotel is excellent value for money.

Ambassasdor Hotel inHonolulu was a very pleasant surprise. I had passed it many times but never stayed there. The staff was efficient and pleasant. The room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities.

Our family of six adults had a great stay at the Ambassador Hotel. Close to the beach and shopping. Perfect location to catch buses to explore the island. Very friendly, helpful staff. The business centre with access to computers and internet was excellent. Lovely relaxing pool area. An added bonus was an onsite laundry. We could not fault this hotel […] in any way. Läs mer
