Bad location, small room, staff isn't friendly and wifi only free in lobby not rooms.

The hotel is located a stone's throw from the Grand Place. Service is good. The "fashion rooms" that one can be assigned to are a far cry from the Old World flavor portrayed on the web page, but the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. A recommended place to lodge.

The hotel was better than the other reviews had indicated. It was just 3 blocks to the metro, tram lines. It was 20 minutes to the center of Paris and 30 minutes to Versailles. I loved the decor and the staff was always helpful. They could speak English and Spanish which was helpful. We need to get on line and had trouble with my Kindle and the receptionist […] let us use her computer. They were always patient and helpful when we asked for help with directions. The room was small but all hotel rooms seem to be small in Paris. The bathroom was recently redone. The only minor inconvenience was the location of the shower head which was at the opposite end of the tub where we are more accustomed to seeing it, but no big deal. Highly recommend this hotel. The location of the Hotel is ideal, except from the Airport, a cab from CDG was 70 Euro. I would recommending taking the Metro, it’s only a single transfer and it will cost you about 9 Euro each. It was easy to get to. Metro station near to hotel. We caught the RER B Train system and then onto the metro. On arriving to the hotel it was abviously not a 4 star hotel, I would'nt call it a 3 star! No resturant, just a dinning room for buffet breakfast, No gym or anything like that. Overall this hotel is pretty do-able! When we got there it was a mess. Hotel staff gave us another room, our room wasn't ready. We put our things in there until the other room was ready, stepped out for 30 min to have something to eat, then came back to luggage in lobby unsupervised! Wow! I was surprised by this room. It was really cute, and clean. A little far from the city center but close to train and bus stops. It was a little small, but as I was only sleeping there I didn't mind. I would not recommend for tall people though, the doorway and the shower area are a little low. Overall, it was a beautiful and clean room.

I chose this hotel based on previous reviews on hotels.com. It lived up to the pictures and it was clean and charming. Unfortunately we came at a time when they were having problems television reception, air conditioning, and the safes int the rooms were not operating. Also we were told that they were a 24 hour service hotel but when we down for coffee […] at 11 pm we were told it was unavailable. they said this hotel have 4 stars but i dont know who give them:))..its a quiet place ,close to the underground... but the rooms are small,very small!

Hardly a 4 star hotel, a bit out of the way but restaurants and Metro access about 2 blocks away. The bed and room were very small--you have to close your wallet in order to open your purse. ;-) Only a couple TV stations, none in english; limited power outlets--all connected to the light switch (have to have the lights on to use a power outlet). This hotel is a no-nonsense hotel where you get everything you need but with no fuss or extra ancillary services.

Le décor est vraiment sympa, très chaleureux. La salle de bain petite mais très jolie. La robinetterie aurait besoin cependant de quelques réparations ( accroche douche décollée ) Le quartier est très calme. Les chambres sont bien insonorisées et très confortables ( très grand lit ). Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour.

Estuvimos 3 noches, la habitación era pequeña pero tiene todo lo básico. Aunque el aire acondicionado solo funcionó una de las noches. Además, hubo un dia que se olvidaron de limpiar la habitación. Cuando llegamos no habían habitaciónes disponibles y tuvimos que esperarnos 2 horas para tener una en condiciones, además, cuando llegamos a la habitación, […] se presentó una del hotel para comprobar el minibar. Una de las noches, llegamos al hotel y nos encontramos a varios clientes fuera, pues el recepcionista no estaba y habían cerrado las puertas principales(y eso que serían las 21h). Lo mejor, la decoración del hotel. Aunque ponga que es un 4 estrellas, la realidad no se corresponde con esto, ya que allí los hoteles con valoración de estrellas, vienen con una placa en la puerta(igual que en España) y este no tenía nada. Además, solo ofrece los servicios de alojamiento y comidas. La zona en la que está es un poco apartada, pero tiene buenas comunicaciones con el metro y además por la noche es silenciosa. Läs mer

Le Villa Royale Montsouris est un hotel très calme avec une déco qui assure le dépaysement total, on se croirait en vacances à l'étranger. Je pense y séjourner à nouveau lors de mon prochain passage à Paris. Je n'ai pas eu le temps de tester le petit déjeuner mais il y a 2 superettes sur le chemin du métro. As a resident at Cité Universitaire i booked this hotel for my parents while they where visiting me. There are very good connections with tramway, bus, metro and RER which can get you to the center of paris within 20 min. maximum. you have a big park, Parc Montsouris next to and the wonderful surroundings of the Cité Universitaire de Paris. Concerning […] the hotel i think my parents were satisfied, funny decoration which haven't been seen at other hotels i visited, leading you to Arabian nights. The rooms were small but clean. But my parents had to pay 10€ when departing. "Tax" they called it. i wasn't there, but i don't think that this was a part of normal procedure since i already payed for the whole stay.. sehr schlecht, Zimmer viel zu klein, die Koffer mußten auf das Bett und zum schlafenunter das Bett, für uns nie wieder

The Hotel is in a quiet area of Paris, out of the tourist continuous flow, though close to a strategic metro station in front of a delicious bakery (try their pan chocolat!). Clean rooms in a very creative style and nice staff. I'll go there again if I'm staying in Paris :)

Hotel je sice dál z centra, to jsem však věděla předem a nevadilo mi to. Vadilo mi ovšem to, že jsou pokoje malé, čistota sporná a personál málo vstřícný. Na 4 hvězdičky dost špatná zkušenost.

Små rom, men med en fantastisk og avslappende stil. Pluss for badekar! Ikke så alt for langt unna sentrum av Paris, og ligger også i Orleans, en fin bydel. Kort vei til trikkstasjon og T-banestasjon. Også et stort pluss at vi fikk ha bagasjen der i noen timer etter utsjekking.

Hôtel présenté comme 4* sans doute parceque les chambres sont bien équipées (sèche-cheveux, etc...). Elles sont cependant si petites qu'il n'y a pas de place pour une valise ... The room was well decorated in the style that is assumed by the hotel. Not a big room but very confortable. Very kind personnel and very concerned. Quite hotel and good facilities. Nice for a romantic escapade. Different from what i'm used to for better and i would stay there again.

De foto's zijn erg slim genomen! De ruimten zijn klein en de orientaalse sfeer zie je sumier terug in de inrichting. In de kelder is een restaurant dat niet actief is. Je kunt in het hotel bijv. geen koffie krijgen. Er is geen airco in de kamers. de toiletborstel was kapot(steel los van borstel). Direkt vor dem Hotel ist eine Baustelle - 7.00 Uhr Tagwacht, ansonsten wäre das Viertel sehr ruhig. Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb, aber gut gelgen, 5Min. zu Fuss zur U-Bahn mit der Metro 15Min. zum Gare de l'Est. Bei Ankunft hatten sie Inspektion, wir wurden angehalten zu warten - wie lange? keine Ahnung! die Dame an der Reception war recht unfreundlich, […] hat mir den Mund verboten als ich ihr sagen wollte was wir gebucht haben. Als wir nach dem kürzesten Weg zum Eiffelturm gefragt haben, wollte sie uns über den Ostbahnhof schicken, dabei waren es nur ein paar Metrostationen, dann Umsteigen und nochmal paar Stationen, also sie hatte keine Ahnung von Paris. Wenn man Nachts ins Hotel kommt liegen alle Schlüssel die noch auf den Zimmerbenutzer warten an der Reception, man bediene sich ... Der Lift ist sehr klein, 2 Personen mit Koffer ist knapp, angeschrieben ist jedoch 8 Personen?!? Die Zimmer sind winzig - man muss schon frisch verliebt sein um sich nicht auf den Füssen rumzutreten ;-) jedoch ist das Ambiente der Zimmer sehr speziell. Anmerkung: wir hatten (zum Glück) 2 Doppelzimmer zur Alleinbenutzung gebucht - so hatte man ein Bett für die Kofferablage zur Verfügung ;-) Frühstück haben wir ausgelassen - das einzige was ich hier weiss, es wird im Untergeschoss serviert. Für die, die etwas Ruhe möchten in der Nacht und kein 0815er Hotel suchen ideal (sobald die Baustelle weg ist). Für die, die Nähe zum Zentrum suchen eher ungeeignet. Erwähnenswert - ganz in der Nähe gibt es einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen, der war auch um halb 2 morgens noch offen, Mineralwasser ist dort sehr günstig. Läs mer

Fica situado no final da linha 4 do metro. Comércio farto nas redondezas o que facilita a vida do turista.. Quarto muito pequeno. Estava viajando sozinho e com uma mala e uma mochila. Abbiamo scelto questo albergo per la buona offerta economica last minute trovata su internet che non prevedeva la colazione. Siamo stati felici della scelta perchè è un buon albergo con una buona posizione, quartiere bello e traquillo. Camere pulite, silenziose e molto accoglienti. La posizione dell'hotel è buona e ben collegata con i mezzi metro e […] bus per raggiungere le attrazioni pricincipali da visitare. La fermata metro più vicina è la linea 4 fermata Porte d'Orleans. Da parte nostra l'albergo è stato utilizzato solo per dormire perchè durante il giorno eravamo sempre in giro. Pargi è una città da sogno un pò cara (soprattutto l'acqua) ma ne vale la pena andarci. the hotel is clean and well kept & the staff friendly but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to be able to move about in her room without bumping into the bed or the doors handles and not having to tuck the heavy curtains out of the window to get an inch of extra space.The bed is also too small even for two lean people like us.

Warned about the size of the rooms by other reviewers, we choose a "superior" room. Being one of the biggest rooms, it was not big. But it was very nice. Soundproof windows. Die Villa Royale Montsouris liegt unweit der Metro-Endstation Porte d?Orléans. Kommt man im Gare de l?Est an, kann man ohne Umsteigen in etwa 15 Min. dorthin fahren; sehr praktisch! Das kleine Hotel hat einen besonderen Charme und ist trotz der sehr kleinen Zimmer eine gute und preiswerte Adresse für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Paris. Die Lage des Hotels war sehr angenehm und ist mit der Metro sehr gut zum Zentrum hin erschlossen. Leider war kein Hotelparkplatz vorhanden und wir mussten den PKW in einem sehr teuren Parking einstellen. Die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr eng! Es ist nicht ratsam mit grossem Gepäck zu reisen. Das Restaurant in dem Hotel war vorzüglich zum Abendessen, jedoch […] die Frühstückskosten kann man sich sparen. Vier Sterne sind zu viele für das Haus. Es ist ein gutes 3* Hotel. Pour un 4 étoiles, c'est vraiment limite ! Petite chambre, Pris tres élevè, la décoration n'est pas celle décrite sur le site, l'état de la chambre est laborieuse (trou dans le mur). Seul point positif : jolie salle de bain.

We had the tickets to go to PAris, but could only afford to go if we could find a decent inexpensive hotel. We are used to traveling and will only go so low. We were definitely pleasantly surprised by our little find. Yes it's a bit on the outskirts of town, but we didn't mind. It's within a 10 minutes walk from the train station Universite, it's […] right next to an amazing park, and another 5 minutes walk from the Metro. D'Orleans. You could easily go home and break the day in two. We took advantage of several great parks around to sit and eat great inexpensive food that we found in local shops. Both plenty of bakeries and deli's and the like. The hotel is not Parisian style, but rather Arabian... very cute and well done. Very small rooms, but that's the name of the game in Europe. We loved the area, and felt totally safe at all times. And.. we checked the price with the hotel directly, and the price we got through Hotels.com were much better. Läs mer
