Hampton Inn and Suites Austin Downtown

The accommodations were beautiful and the location was ideal for dining, bar hopping, and access to the convention center. Only downside was it was difficult to read the Hotel sign because the only sign was at the top of the building and difficult to view from the street. Great stay. Wonderful and spacious suite.

This is our favorite place to stay in Austin when we come visit. Specifically because of the location and the proximity to the things we want to do while in town is an easy walk from the hotel.

This is the perfect place to stay in Austin, especially if you don't have a car. The Metro express bus takes you within 2 blocks of the hotel for $1, $2 if you buy a system wide 24 hour pass. The Hampton Inn was a great place to stay when exploring downtown. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, and the lobby was very nice. Some construction going on around the hotel made it a little hard to get around, but I never heard any of the noise.

The hotel was awesome! and the Breakfast was amazing. Only thing I would change is the shuttle they provide charge more than a regular cab but overall satisified.

The hotel only offers valet service and it is 23 dollars per day plus whatever you tip, by the time you add that to your room rate there are some other hotels I would have stayed at.

There was a lot of construction going on and had to valet park at a cost of $23.00 per day plus tax. Had I known this I would have stayed at the Double Tree on I-35 where there are no parking fees.

I enjoyed my stay here. Hotel was clean. Staff was VERY helpful and friendly. The hotel was in walking distance from my conference and all the eating places. PF Changs and Piranha Sushi were feet away which was a big plus. Didn't really like that we could only valet ($24/night) because of no parking but it was all good because they let us keep our cars […] there literally ALL day long to finish up the conference even after we had already checked out and didn't even charge us again. Plus like I said everything was is walking distance and the weather was great! Oh yeah I definitely can't forget about the complimentary breakfast that was probably the highlight of the stay. It was waaaay more than what I was expecting. I would of preferred a few more healthier options but either way they still over delivered! Would definitely stay here again. Läs mer

This was our second weekend stay at the hotel. Downtown Austin is seeing significant redevelopment. Be prepared construction and traffic challenges. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. In order to keep up with the changes, the Hampton Inn is staying current with new renovations as well. There was solitary hammering all day until about 6pm each day. Like someone was chipping out ceramic tile in a renovation. Suggestion, put two people on the job and make sure thet compress the hours by at least two-fold.

This is one of the best values in the area! It was a block from the office I was working out of, and their breakfast in the morning is phenomenal - best selection I've seen. I stayed in this hotel for five nights while I attended the 2013 meeting of the American Meteorological Society in Austin. The staff is very good and the hotel rooms are kept in good and clean condition. The bed was rather comfortable. The only negative is that during the last night, I starting hearing hammering in the room right above me at 7:30 AM. […] I complained to the front desk at check-out. We have stayed at this hotel before and are always very pleased with their staff and the rooms. It is a great location, with restaurants, shopping and movies, within walking distance. However, this time we had some problems with noise. They are in the process of remodeling all their rooms and were working right above us. We also had some really loud […] people outside our room until 4:30 am New Year's Eve!!! I called the front desk twice, but they never really quieted down until then. There is a good bit of construction around the hotel, as well. I might stay somewhere else next time, until their remodeling is complete. Otherwise, it is a great choice for downtown Austin!!! Our recent stay at the Hampton Inn Downtown was very pleasant. We were in town to attend the Ikkicon Convention that was held at the Hilton Downtown, which was a short walk to the Hilton (approx. 2.5 blocks). There are plenty of restaurants to visit very, very close to the hotel: PF Changs, Le Crepe, Mongolian BBQ, etc. It is also within walking distance […] of the Warehouse District, Congress Ave, Capitol, 6th Street. Short walk to SoCo and its many shops and trailer eateries, or you can use the pedicabs, taxis, horse-drawn carriages to get around if so desire. The room was very comfortable and spacious, even with 4 of us in the room. The room had a small fridge and free Wi-Fi (ether net cord for connection also). The beds were full-size, made it kind of cramped for sleeping, would have rather have had queen-size, but they are comfortable. The free breakfast buffet every morning was awesome. With choice of eggs, sausage, waffles, several cereals, yogurts, fruit, pastries, bagels, muffins, French toast, and several juices. There is a nice coffee bar as well that is available throughout the day and a microwave if needed. You may sit inside or outside on the balcony of the breakfast area. I stayed during December, so did not visit the pool, but the pool area looked nice. The hotel staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I will stay again at the Hampton for the 2013 Ikkicon Convention. And I recommend this hotel to anyone interested in staying/visiting Austin. Läs mer

This hotel was perfect for me for 5 nights in town visiting relatives. Location so convenient, room clean and quiet, free wifi and huge daily breakfast make it a great deal. Good location to downtown attractions. Very nice compared to other Hampton Inns we have stayed in too. Decor was very nice and updated, bed was very comfortable. Others in our group enjoyed the free breakfast as well, but we didn't stop in due to having other plans. Parking in any downtown is expensive, and this hotel was no exception.
