Very nice hotel at a gay area

It is a must see hotel because in actuality it is a museum of antiquities...for example has shoes and clothing dated to the 1940 and paitinigs from the 60's ...enjoy as service is first class and close to the center of Mexico and tourist attractions

Despite the fact that the hotel itself is well located, rooms are connected by a thin locked door. You can therefore listen to every single word or noise from your direct neighbors. That being said, if you are not interested of knowing what TV channel your neighbor is watching at, consider choosing another hotel.

If you have a short stay in Mexico City stay here. The history of the hotel is amazing, the staff is great, and the location is perfect for getting around the city. The rooms are nothing special but they are fine for a couple of days. Enjoy

A most wonderful and unique hotel. Very chic, well located and extremely reasonable for its class of hotel.

If you are looking or a beautiful hotel full of history and exquisite taste, this is the place for you. The neighborhood in eccelecit and diverse, but very well patrolled by police. Did not feel unsafe at all, but you sould always take precautions. It is central to all important sights. Enjoy a bit of Mexico's history.

I lived in Mexico City for several years and can say that Hotel Geneve offers wonderful service to tourist or business traveler alike. It is three blocks from Insurgentes metro station, if you like the subway, or two blocks the other way to Reforma and the buses there. I did read reviews before picking this hotel, and most were positive, and I have to say, I loved the place. The lobby is gorgeous and the coffee at breakfast was really great! Our room was wonderful and not noisy at ALL. The neighborhood was so convenient, the Touribus was just two blocks away! DO check out the phone bar too! This is not nice that very early in the morning they come knocking each door at the floor asking if you have need for laundry Then at 9 am the maintenance guys are working on the floor with their two way radio full volume Then at 10 am the maides come and open my room door without knocking This is not what you hope in a 4 star hotel

This is a charming historical hotel that, for the great price I got on Hotels.com, was an excellent value. The room was spacious and the beds were super comfortable. This beautiful hotel with sometimes quirky decor (e.g., a display case of shoes of the 20th century) is in a great neighborhood with many excellent restaurants (Mexican, Korean, Thai, and more) and a very lively gay scene. The street food was excellent and we never got sick from it. The room was quiet, as was the surrounding street, and the free, wireless […] internet was fast with a strong signal. The gym was small but ample. I was a bit upset, however, that a cotton T-shirt disappeared from my room while I was out during the day. The staff was super friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is beautiful, the lobby has interesting displays of historic items, the breakfast inside-terrace is very pleasant and the food was good as well. It is located in the - zona rosa - which has a lot of small fast food restaurants very close by. The "most prestigious hotel in Mexico" has had seen its best times! Our stay was not at all recreative. At night we were disturbed by the refrigerator which started to make a VERY loud noise and in the morning at 8.30am they knocked our door for asking for dirty clothes, even though we told them the day before not to disturb us ("Do not disturb"-sign […] was not available). Though we espent most of our time sight seeing, the restaurant offersan exelent menue with fast and courteous service, I neede to book a block on tickets for my retun to Guadlajara the concirge arranged for some one to take me a ticket office near the hotel, for the price, the hotel is a good buy. I have stayed at this hotel over the last 30 years and it's consistently good! Absolutely near everything and I mean everything the hotel is charming and staff speak English if you can't speak Spanish. You won't wanna get out of the beds they are the best and the in room coffee in the morning is perfect to get you going. I love this place.

The Geneve Hotel in the Zona Rosa area of Mexico City is the only place to stay. Its historical and well-maintained with a rich history of notable people having stayed there. The lobby is a mini-museum of its history dating back to its opening in 1907. M. Reilly Washington, D.C.

I would not recommend this Hotel, although the lobby area is great, the rooms are very small, and the air condition system really really sucks!!! We requested service two times, they were late at responding and did not get it fixed. WE had to sleep with the windows open to get some comfort at night. So this was my last stay at this hotel.

As old as this hotel is it still has all of the amenities you would expect in a newer hotel. I found the hotels location to be ideal for the business I needed to conduct. The hotels location allowed me to get a bite to eat at the Sanborns in the lobby, my shoe's shined right outside the hotel and a brisk walk around the corner to my clients office building. […] Being located in the heart of the Zona Rosa allows you to eat and shop very easily without the need of a car. The Zona Rosa isn't for everyone though, the neighborhood is a "liberal" area, if "liberal" isn't your cup of tea then look elsewhere. Läs mer

I have stayed ehre about 4 times, and I have always been happy. I used to stay somewhere that cost more than twice this, and I have actually been happier here.

Attentive, friendly front desk staff. Attended to special requests promptly(request for Iron, more water and more coffee). Comfortable, average size room, good bedding and decent bathroom. Some residual noise from the piped in music, which did not get turned off until 11pm, but so much less noisy that most of Mexico City. I have stayed here several times. The lobby and Sanborns dining room are lovely, colonial spaces. Having a Sanborns store adjacent to, and accessible from, the hotel is very convenient, plus there is a second Sanborns cafe at the front of the building. Zeer goede service, vriendelijk personeel. Er wordt ook Engels geproken bij de receptie en ontvangst bij de concierge. Zeer behulpzaam. Goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Kamers zijn ruim en worden goed schoongemaakt. Dit hotel lag erg centraal in de Zona Rosa vlakbij een metrostation en veel bezienswaardigheden vlakbij in de buurt. È um hotel, desde que não se fazerm mais. È para viajantes que gostam de história de,serem bem tratados e que estão sem crianças. Perto do metro, e de restaurantes. Pena que Rosa Zona não é o que já foi, mas mesmo assim o custo beneficio é otimo. acely

En hotel es muy bonito, sin embargo la zona es muy complicada para llegar en auto. Una vez ahi la noche es muy ruidosa debido a que en esa colonia hay muchos lugares nocturnos y gente entra y sale constantemente. El servicio del restaurante para desayunar pésimo, me parece que la gente que da servicio al cliente debé mejorar mucho.

La historia de este hotel es impresionante. El servicio y la calidad de las habitaciones es igual.

Tivemos um problema muito incoveniente na nossa chegada. Nossa reserva havia sido feita 1 mês de antecedência. Para nossa surpresa não havia habitações disponíveis e quiseram nos colocar em outro hotel. Tivemos que reclamar muito para que resolvessem este transtorno, e pudéssemos ficar. Muito inconveniente .

La ubicación del Hotel es centrica, a sus alrededores hay varios restaurantes y un centro comercial. La seguridad del Hotel es buena como tambien el servicio del mismo.

Es Bonito pero hay demasiado ruido por las noches y el elevador tiene un olor muy desagradable, porque la alfombra que tiene creo que es la misma con que inauguraron el hotel. La puerta del baño no cierra.

La pase muy bien, el ho0tel es hermoso, las habitaciones sobras, clasicas, pero limpias y tranquilas. El servicio en recepcion es de 10 y el late check oput sin costo una maravilla. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, estuvo muy bien durante mi estancia, ni una queja!

varias veces me ha ocurrido que lo que ustedes mandan de condiciones en la reservacion no son respetadas en el hotel, esta vez la hoja de la confirmacion decia que habitacion de luxe y me dieron la ultima habitacion del hotel super diminuta con la puerta del baño que daba a una de las camas siendo super incomodo, ademas de ser la mas chica del hotel, […] y cuando les pedi lo del internet me dijeron que tenia costo que la reservacion no la incluia, varias veces me ha pasado que siempre que reservo con ustedes nos dan las peores habitaciones, pienso que deberian tener mas cuidado con las empresas para que respeten las condiciones ya que asi le pensaria para volver a reservar, igual me paso cuando reserve para mazatlan el año pasado Läs mer
