Bodde på hotellet i 3 nätter. Hotellets frukost var ganska dåligt - inga grönsaker och bara en variant av bröd (ljust) som dessutom var ganska hårt. Spa-avdelningen som hotellet skryter med - dvs bubbelpol och bastu - får endast brukas i 20 minuter om man inte köper till några Spapaket..., Hotellets Wifi låg nere halva tiden vi bodde där. Området är […] inget trevligt ställe och jag rekommenderar att man inte går hem alltför sent om man ska vara ensam. Hotellet är så hjälpsamma och bokar taxi till Champino flygplats för 55 euro när det egentligen är billigare att bara beställa en vanlig taxi av hotellpersonalen och sen meddela taxichaufförn att man ska till Champino - då kostar det endast 30 euro... frågan är vad de extra 25 eurona går till. Sen kan det vara bra att veta att hotellen - beroende på antalet stjärnor tar ut något så fjantigt som City Tax - för att man bor i Rom... Jag har rest mycket i mitt liv och många platser vill man gärna besöka igen - men inte Rom och definitivt inte Hotel Donna Laura Palace. Läs mer

Mycket bra hotell, jättebra standard, fantastisk frukost. Trevlig personal, fint gym och bubbelpool. Kan dock upplevas lite ocentralt men jättebra kommunikationer med buss, spårvagn och tunnelbana. Bra att ta spårvagn direkt till Vatikanen och rundtursbuss vidare i stan t.ex.

Ett bra och prisvärt hotell på relativt bra gångavstånd från de flesta sevärdheter i Rom. (om man inte är rädd för att promenera) Bra frukostbuffe och sköna hårda sängar. Bra med gratis WiFi på rummet och bra service i receptionen. Kan absolut rekommendera detta hotell!

Nice and friendly staff and the hotel was very clean! But not having a simply restaurant was a minus although the breakfast was quite OK!....and the walk to the beginning of the city of Rome is to long! Especially in August when it´s hot.....

Minus: Vi hade bokat en taxi på flygplatsen via hotellet - den kom aldrig (de hade glömt). Bad att få ett rum högt upp (nix) De hade på fakturan tagit upp en lunch som vi aldrig åt på hotellet. Trevligt hotell med lite lyxigare känsla tack vare höga, stora fönster och slottsliknande inredning. Lite längre avstånd till t-banan än jag förväntade mig. Väldigt torfting fukost med en tråkig kaffe-automat istället för en kunnig barista, som man kanske förväntar sig på ett hotell med lite klass i Rom... Kan absolut tänka mig att bo där igen.

Hotellet ligger på Vatikansidan och det är nära att gå till andra sidan floden till turiststråken och busshållplatsen för "Hop-n-off"bussen man gärna tar i hettan. Hotellet serverade en bra italiensk frukost uppe på terassen med vädligt magnifik utsikt. Rummen var bekväma med fräscht badrum, skön säng och balkong. Helt klart godkänt hotell beläget på en lugn innergård med ett citronträd. Rent och trevligt. Frukosten var godkänd men sydeuropeisk och allt vad det innebär. Personalen var alltid mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Rekommenderas för en weekend i Rom där det huvudsakliga semestrandet inte sker på hotellrummet.

This was a great hotel near the Vatican and other tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Rome is a very expensive city and I thought this hotel had a great product for a reasonable price.

I am not sure about the other negative reviews I have read but we just returned from a week stay and this hotel it was wonderful. it is well kept and the staff provides excellent service. For anyone who travels on a regular basis in Europe, you will be aware that most hotel rooms in central city areas are small in size. It offers an excellent breakfast […] and although pricey supper on the rooftop restaurant is great. The location is great and under a half hour stroll to the Vatican or to the palatine in the opposite direction. It is just about 10 minutes away from 2 metro stops both on the red line. Make sure you go to the Octavio district for food and shopping which is cheaper and less touristy. The hotel is also close to the central sqaure where most excursions depart from. If you need to get to the central Termini a cab will cost about 12 euros. Again great hotel, great staff, great services. Will stay again!!! Läs mer

Good standard all round. Reception staff helpful ... getting taxis, local knowledge, restaurants etc. They ought to advertise that there is an evening roof top bar when fine ... we stumbled on it by chance. Clean rooms, little on the small side but perfectly OK. Thought overall very good value for money. Not very central for "old" Rome but only 10 min […] walk from Lepanto metro so very convenient and easy to get anywhere. Only 2 stops to Vatican. The evening meal in the hotel is a "one option" menu, so you need to check before you eat. We came to this hotel on our honeymoon and were left disappointed. The one big bonus this hotel has is it's location. It's ten minutes walk to the metro. As for the down sides, where do I begin? We were given room 70, the worst room! It was next to the lobby and stairwell so was often woken in the early hours of the morning by the comings and goings […] of staff and guests. Walls are paper thin. I could hear every time the room next to us flushed the toilet! Breakfast is dull and lacks diversity. Once something had run out it took a long time to be refilled. If breakfast hadn't been included in the price we wouldn't have bothered. The restaurant is appalling. It has one set menu each night and if you don't like it then tough! When I said I was vegetarian so couldn't eat any of it anyway I was told the chef could "make it vegetarian" (just remove the meat basically) but for the same price. We decided to eat out instead and could eat out far cheaper than at the hotel. We never saw the roof top bar/restaurant open. When we enquired on the first night we were told it was closed due to bad weather. It wasn't cold, wet or windy so I couldn't understand this. Every restaurant we passed had people dining outside! The air con was very temperamental and would often cut out when the room was still very hot. The safe was temperamental too. clealiness, upkeep of the hotel and their service is good. for these things I would give a rating of 4*. The location is also great. The only draw back was the rooms are way to tiny - would rate it at 3* for the room size.

Good location within walking distance of both city centre and the Vatican. Breakfast was reasonably good especially for cake lovers. Staff were helpful and could communicate well in english.

The staff were very helpful, we arrived early and were able to book in straight away, we had a late flight and they kept our bags for us. The breakfast was lovely, and was standard european fair - croissants, pastries, cereal, toast, fruit. The only downside was that the fruit was tinned rather than fresh. Coffee was included, just ask for a cappucino […] and it is delivered to your table. We did not try the restaurant on the roof as it was a bit expensive and we were on a tight budget. the hotel itself is well located, maximum 15 minutes walk from Flaminio Metro station and about 45 minutes walk to St Peters square if you are keen to walk. We found cafe Popolo near the metro station to serve wonderful food which was so good we went each night. All in all a very nice holiday and the hotel was lovely. Läs mer

Second time staying at this Hotel. Loved it the first time and remains a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. People conplain about walking. The best way to see Rome is using one of the double decker buses. You can get off and on at all the major attractions. the approach to the hotel was very pleasing, clean and well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. décor of hotel and rooms were pleasant, clean and comfortable. continental buffet breakfast was adequate and plentiful. we were told the hotel was only 15 minuets from the Vatican in fact it was a 30 minuet walk away.

Excellent hotel. Realy good and friendly staff and it was a pleasure to stay. However, no ironing facilities in all the hotel !!! Come on people it is really easy to buy an ironing board and an iron!!! All my shirts were awful. This is why I gave it a 4 out of 5

Good hotel for the price we payed. Not the best location, but everything was close enough. We grabbed a bus to Vatican City like 2 blocks away (10 mins away). We were able to walk back to the hotel from the Colisseum and saw everything on the way back, but that´s the hole point of Rome, walking all day!

To create a double room, they put two single beds together in a single room. There was no room to walk without one of us sitting on the bed. Additionally, the room was next to the lobby; not great. There is no place to eat close by except the hotel restaurant.

15 min walk to metro, 5 stops to central station. ( takes about 10 to central)Not much around in area to choose from for restaurants or entertainment. On our walk back from metro, we Did find really good local restaurant Pepe's that had great food & is were all the locals dine. Very inexpensive. Don't be fooled by the appearance...food is delicious! […] But if you want more restaurants or evening strolls where there are other people, you will want to stay a few metro stops closer to central. Hotel fronts onto a busy street alongside the river. All rooms face street and have balcony. Soundproof glass keeps room very quiet. Traffic dies down to nothing late at night.. Generally good, our room was close to the lifts and this did cause some problem with the noise level.Hotel was clean and in very good order, and food quality of the breakfast was very varied and of good quality,.Prices from the mini bar and in the hotel bar were very high, but then again it was Rome,. The front desk staff were indifferent and rude .Our room and parts of the breakfast room smelled of sewer gas which the cleaning staff new about. We were moved but the room they moved us to smelled of the same gas in the move they misplaced our luggage .When we were checking out even though our room was fully paid for when we booked it there was a 6E […] charge per day. We had a fantastic time, the staff where very friendly and helpful and all spoke very good English. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. View from the balcony was good. The bathroom was a little small but perfectly adequate. Linen was a little old and tired with only provision of one pillow each but comfortable nevertheless. Staff friendly, buffet breakfast good with plenty of variety, close to metro so good location. We had a slight problem with ants in the shower (which was no big problem, but we just mentioned it anyway) but were moved quickly to an upgraded room. Very clean, with modern & elegant decorations. I love the hotel building very much, which is actually a villa. Room and bath are both very big. Location is a little remote without cars. Yet the closes metro station is in 10 mins walk.
