"The perfect spot for museums!"
We enjoyed our corner balcony fourth floor 2-queen suite. Our beds were very comfortable and the room spacious. The sleeper sofa mattress wasn't pleasant and should be upgraded.The breakfast was fine and the evening wine and happy hour food was a nice touch. Bathroom was clean and spacious as well. "Close to everything in St. Petersburg"
It was a convenient, affordable and nice option in St. Petersburg. Walkable to the waterfront, great restaurants and all museums. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful. Not necessarily fancy or romantic, but it worked for us. One issue was that at breakfast time, there wasn't enough seating so you would have to wait to find a seat […] to eat your breakfast each morning (no matter what time). "Hidden Fees...beware"
Surprised to fine a $14 per day valet parking with the only alternative to be street parking which was metered. Nowhere was I ever informed of this additional charge. Not a lot of money but not a nice great welcome either. Staff were friendly, manager requested feedback (sticker on my bill). Where was he./she when I was checking in and voiced my displeasure […] at the surprise valet parking non option. "Cleanliness of the room"
I took my wife for a weekend get away and booked a room there because a friend told me it was a pretty good hotel, how ever when I got to my room there was little notes saying that the bed spreads where clean, Well when I went to lay down I found other people's hair!!! nice service, clean and large room. Two drawbacks : 1 - the top sheets are just too small and do not cover the sides 2 - when we requested an easy access shower for my husband, they only offered for us to pay for a bigger, more expensive room. Perfect location if you want to explore Downtown St. Petersburg. The lobby is very modern and well appointed so I was surprised when we got to our room. It just didn't seem to match the ambience of the lobby. It was a clean room but for the price we thought it would be a bit more updated. We're glad we decided to stay in downtown St Pete instead of the beach. We could walk to restaurants, the Dali musuem and shops. You can always hop on the streetcar to get to the beach. "VALET PARKING ONLY"......so you book the hotel, pay for your room and yet in order to getl there you (90% of the time) have to take your car........and have to pay to park at the hotel; you're already paying to stay at, it's a stealth tax and incrrased the cost of our stay by 12%....unsatisfactory and a reason people are looking harder for their hotel […] deals! The hotel was very pleasant to stay in. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. There was a book in our room with information on hotel amenities and services, local attractions, and nearby restaurants (including menus). The shower was much better than at most hotels. Stayed at Hampton Inn for a Rays game so just one night but found the accommodations pleasing enough. Clean room, friendly staff, happy hour was great (free beer or wine and appetizers). "Not the best Hampton Inn and Suites"
The location of the hotel was excellent - right downtown. Our room was very standard but quite clean. Our room overlooked the pool, and unfortunately a rowdy group decided to play in the pool at 1230 (a.m.) which was not conducive to sleep (we had to be up at 5:30 a.m.) When my husband called and reported it, it took 30 minutes before the management […] got the people to leave. Also, the breakfast was average. The breads were crammed in a bread box so much that it was very difficult to use the tongs to retrieve the bread. When guests used their hands, the breakfast server sternly advised us we HAD to use the tongs even though she admitted it was very difficult. "walking distance from everything"
My husband and I had a wonderful getaway here. We never got in our car. We were within walking distance of 25 restaurants, 2 museums, movies, shopping, theater, and a free trolley to Rays baseball. We loved walking around by the pier and the tree-lit parks in the evening. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I loved that it had a fridge […] and microwave. With the Hampton free breakfast and snacks, and some food in our fridge, we saved a lot of money by only eating out once a day.
