"Great for walking the beach"
Inexpensive, beautiful views from our room and throughout the area of te hotel. Very helpful and freindly staff and surrounding people. If you are like me and just like to walk the beach this is the place for you. "Decent hotel but the are better"

"Nice Place to Stay"
All the staff are very nice. The hotel provides a quaint aura; not too high roller and not too low end. Great pool by the ocean. Nice open air restaurant / bar area by the pool and ocean. "Nice on the beach old hotel"
The staff is really nice and helpfull. The infinite swimming pool is right on the beach, and it is very nice and clean. The food at the restaurant is very good and fair priced. the beach is gone of the best. "Hotel Posada Real Ixtapa - Decent Value"
Posada Real Ixtapa is a nice little hotel, in a great location on the beach in Ixtapa. Decent bar with reasonable prices, very friendly staff, close to the bus/tiendas/other services and restaurants. The pictures provided are accurate, and it really is a nice spot. The cons would be that the hotel could use a few improvements. The shower had some maintenance […] issues, but nothing that was a deal breaker. The bed was about as uncomfortable as I've slept on, but again I was willing to compromise because the nightly rate was worth it. Maids did a fantastic job, pool was very clean and the beach was one of my favorites. I'd recommend this hotel if you want a few days on a great beach, ease of access to everything the area has to offer and a very relaxed but professional group of staff. "Comfortable clean small hotel, nothing fancy"
Smaller basic hotel right on the beach next to Park Royal. Noise is no longer issue, Carlos and Charlies closed. Rooms are small but if you only sleep there, no problem. There is separate toddler/kids pool away from the main pool with kids play area a plenty of shade. So much better then the overcrowded pools at the big hotels. We had our 2 1/2 year […] old and it was great for us. Everything is much closer (from room to the pool and restaurant) then in Tesoro, Park Royal or any of the 15 story hotels on the beach. The drink included package is the best way to go, food is OK but you can get much better in town. But if you don't want to go anywhere, you can order room service for fairly cheap. Same with breakfast, right there and inexpensive. We stayed in Ixtapa 6 times and I think this is the best value. I give it 4 just because it's not fancy but it's worth what you pay for. "First impressions don't count!"
Well, the first impression of the resort is not too good but when you get to know the resort and the people, it clearly makes you feel at home. It is not the huge resort that I have been used to and wanted to change hotels. The room was not available that I had reserved, (King size, ocean view) but was reassured that we would be moved the next day and […] true to thier word, we were moved and that room was excellent. If you like the smaller resorts that offer more service because they have less people to concentrate on, this is the place for you. "Why stay anywhere else?"
This was our fourth trip to the Posada Real. It feels like home to us. The people are like family. They are so friendly and work hard to make sure you have a great stay. A lot of the people who work there work for tips only, so it's important that you show your appreciation for a job well done. This hotel has the best pool on the beach. We have friends […] who stay at the Park Royal next door and come over every day to use the pool. You just can't beat the view. The rooms are adequate. "Best on the Beach"
Smaller,better than the high rises, friendlier, and a great value. excellent staff. The beach is large, clean and close to all water sports. The property is on the north end of the beach and it's a long, uninterupted, beautiful walk to the south. The all-inclusive drinks part is nice, but noody over does it. The clientele is a bit older (many from MN […] and WI), respectful and many have been returing evey year for 10 or even 20 years. Staff has been there for years as well and they appreciate all guests. The restaurant is very good, the pool bar better. No fears on the drinking water. It's a $5 taxi into Zhi and a 5 minute walk to the activity in Ixtapa. Grab a bus to Zhi for about $.50. It's worth several nights out to experience all that Zhi can offer. The food and the drink and just about everything is cheaper (and more authentic) than in Ixtapa. The only thing I'd do differently is fly direct. We had touble going both ways but that was the airlines and weather related. You don't want to get stuck in Mexico City when you are so close! Avoid it if at all possible. Posada real is the best deal going for the money. If you need extra pampering look to the all-inclusive deals further down the strip. My only complaint is that the Posada needs to update their bathroooms-better lighting in vanity and shower areas. They also need to add some hooks where one can hang swimsuits and articles to dry. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, cerca de todos los servicios y con una muy buena extensión de playa. Las albercas muy bien, el servicio excelente, la comida muy rica y los precios accesibles. Lo único que necesitan mejorar son las habitaciones, aunque están limpias tienen un olor a humedad que parece que proviene del baño, además de que les falta actualizarse […] y a mi perspectiva cambiar totalmente el baño, la tina que tiene es muy pequeña y no es funcional sólo les quita espacio y sólo cabría un bebe o un niño pequeño porque no tiene el espacio para un adulto ni sentado, por lo demás todo bien. Si lo que quieren es descansar, pasar un buen rato en familia y comer rico este es el hotel. Me gusto mucho la alberca y la comida. Las albercas son de buen tamaño y la alberca infiniti es de lo mejor. La comida en el restaurante muy rica a todas horas y los precios fueron bastante razonables. Lo que no me gusto fue el baño de la habitación, es muy […] pequeño y le falta mantenimiento. Las recamaras son pequeñas y les falta actualizarse, pero ese es el único inconveniente. Todo lo demás compensa ese detalle. Me he quedado en hoteles más lujosos y con mejores habitaciones pero el servicio y la comida no se comparan y mucho menos el ambiente familiar y de descanso que este hotel ofrece. "Buen hotel"
La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, esta cerca de todos los servicios, las instalaciones del exterior inmejorables. Me encantaron las albercas tanto la infiniti con vista al mar como la de los niños. Excelente extensión de playa y distribución de palapas. La atención del personal fue perfecta, la comida del restaurante riquísima con precios razonables. […] Lo único que no me gusto fue que las habitaciones son pequeñas y que el baño necesita reparaciones y/o actualizaciones porque se salía el agua por una coladera afuera de la tina e inundaba el resto del baño. "Ideal zum Relaxen"
Am Strand von Ixtapa gibt es viele Hotels. Gross und kleine. Dieses hier gehört her zu den kleineren. Gerade aber das hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Auswahl an "Drinks inclusive" ist sehr reichhaltig. Zwar werden nur lokale Alkohole ausgeschenkt, aber man ist ja in Mexiko und da ist der Tequilla zu Hause. Das Hotel selbst hat ein Resaurant oder wenn […] man in das Stadtzentrum geht findet man etliche Restaurants. Ich habe 4 Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht und konnte dort sehr gut relaxen.
