Det var ett bra hotell. Vi bodde i ett trippel rum 21 kvm. Det var precis lagom stort. Allt som man ville se låg på bekvämt avstånd. Mindre en 2 km bort. Vatikanstaten var det enda som vi inte kände för att gå till, (ca 3,5 km) en taxi kostade för oss tre 8 euro. Helt ok.

Till centralstationen i Rom, Termini, kommer du om du har rest till Fiumicino flygplats och vidare. Stationen har en imponerande modern arkitektur. Mellan Termini och glamorösa Via Veneto finns det flera intressanta platser att besöka. Palazzo Barberini är ett superbt barockpalats, Diocletianus termer var stadens största badanläggning och kyrkan Santa Maria della Concezione är känd för sin Capuchin-munkkrypta.

"Bra hotell nära Termini och tunnelbanan"
Bra Hotell nära Termini och Tunnelbanan. Mycket bra frukost buffé. 4 stjärnor är kanske lite i överkant men helt okej för en turistvecka i Rom. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. "Hotell villafranca"
1)Måste börja med att skriva, att , låt er inte luras av alla bilder ni ser. Det ser inte alls ut exakt som på bilderna. 2) Detta var inte 4 stjränigt, rättare sagt 2. har varit på många 2,3,4 stjärniga hotell runt om i världen. Och måste säga att standarden var låg här. 3) Maten var inte bra, servicen var väldigt bra, hjälpsamma, rummet var knapp […] 25 kvm. Tv i rummet, men inget ingick, man fick betala, väldigt lyhört. "Easy and Convenient"
We booked this place at the last minute, because we were arriving in Rome a day earlier than expected, and our other hotel was unavailable. The hotel was an easy walk from Termini Station, and reception was friendly and polite. The room was very clean - our only problem was that the shower door leaked and flooded the bathroom. "Not a Four star Hotel"
I am not one to write reviews, but I felt this had to be said to all those looking for hotels in Rome. The pictures looked nice......don't let it fool you. Though we knew staying in Europe the rooms would be small this is to be expected, and we also knew that we would over pay....however I have some expectations from a four star hotel and this was not […] it. The beds were terrible, the bedding was terrible and a comforter you would question even touching. The Bathroom was ok, but the shower drain did not drain well, so you had to keep putting the water on and off for it to catch up. "Very Good Hotel."
We stayed at the hotel for a week in July and our experience was amazing. As most people pointed out great location. Close to subway and train station is about a 10 minutes walk. The room was extremely clean. Good value. There was air conditioning that worked so we were very happen. "Good hotel, safe, secure and close to the Termini"
The hotel is located around the corner from the Termini station in Rome. Considering that you can get a cheap taxi from outside the station all the must see sites are available quickly from here. Also the surrounding area has Rome style restaurants that offer the safe feeling of people eating on the streets late at night. The hotel itself for the price […] is what you would expect, good and the staff attended to all my requests. Put simple I have travelled globally, the hotel has a decent tv , free wifi, good bathroom and cheap price for all. "Pretty Good hotel for Europe"
Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. It had a great complimentary breakfast in the morning, and access to wi-fi, which were two of the most important things for us. It was farther away from the main sites, but the metro stop was just a 1 minute walk, and termini station was a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were nice and it's a big plus that they can speak English. It was nice to have an all you can eat breakfast. They have contracted an Italian guy to valet, whom you pay cash when you check out. They listed it as 27 Euro a day but that's the minimum. The room was very clean, though the hallway smelled like dirty bathroom (don't know why). The rooms are set up with twin beds, which are put together if you request a double bed. The location is great! It's close to most things you want to see in Rome. The main terminal (which is a train and metro stop), is only a few blocks away. There's also a bus stop a block away from the hotel. This bus stop is convenient because there are few bus lines that stops by it. The neighborhood offers a great array of various places to eat. We felt safe walking the alleys with our children. There is also a grocery store a block away, which is great if there are things you have forgotten or need to go to a supermarket for. "it was okay but I would not stay there again"
Nice hotel but room was small and elevator was tiny. Trying to get luggage up to room was hard. Also bar was silly and closed to early. If however you think that for this price you should have a little more than the bare minimum, go elsewhere. "Good price, but be careful of the neighborhood"
This isn't a terribly fancy hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations (relative to what I paid). The bathroom was quite spacious and in good condition, and even the bed was fairly comfortable, though it looked pretty old. My main complaints were that the air conditioning didn't work -- this wasn't a huge issue since I happened to be there on a […] relatively cool night, but I could easily see it being a problem for others who were less fortunate -- and the front desk service was a little abrupt. There was also no wi-fi available, which is something they should remedy. Also: the neighborhood near the train station isn't great at night, so bear that fact in mind if you're coming in late (as I did). We picked the Best Western for its location for our last night in Rome upon returning from a cruise. It's close to Termini Station so we had a choice of metro or shuttle bus to the airport. "A good bargain in Rome"
We stayed here in July 2011. The hotel is convenient to central Rome, The Metro and Stazione Termini. There are lots of restaurants nearby however it can be very noisy at night. The front desk were not very helpful when I asked about wireless service which did not exist. They suggested the televison internet which did not work properly. The hotel is very close to the central station, just few blocks away. We also had a small grocery store around the corner. Lots of restaurants in the area. "NIGHTMARE"
THE AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK, WE REQUESTED TEA MAKING FACILITIES WHEN THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP,THE FRIDGE DID NOT KEEP THE MILK FROM TURNING. "Loved Roma and will stay here again!!"
This hotel was perfect. We chose this hoping for a clean, decent place that was a value for the money. We got what we wanted and more. We had everything we needed, breakfast, nice room, wonderful staff that spoke english and where extremely helpful and the location was ideal - two blocks from a metro stop and 15 minute walk to Termini station. The room […] was lovely, but small as they tend to be in Europe and the street was noisy - welcome to Rome. I don't think there IS a quite street! This area is very accessable for getting around and is an okay area to be walking in at night. Overall my friend and I (two women) felt very welcome and safe at this hotel and location. There was a very nice restaurant across the street and several in the area. There is a laundromat with internet access just 1 1/2 blocks away as well as several ATMs in the area. The three of us stayed at the Best Western Villafranca for three nights. Pleasant staff at the front desk. The room was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately no WiFi and the breakfast room was a bit small for the number of guests in the hotel. Our room was spacious all things considered, the neighborhood was quiet, close to a subway, and with food and a small grocery store near by. I can't remember how we found this hotel while searching, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone closely budgeting their trip to Rome. "For young couples--pick a different location"
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. The breakfast staff was very helpful and the reason, I believe, this hotel has a 4 star rating. The rest of the hotel -- NOT 4 star. I did not think the front desk was helpful and the room was extremely small (the worst I have seen in all my european travels--my family all lives in Europe so travel […] there quite regularly). It was convenient to the trains and the metro, but there was nothing else in that neighborhood. For young travelers (we are a couple in our early 30s) I would not recommend this location. I loved Rome, but would definately pick a different location next time around. You can find just as nice of places in areas that you would much rather be in for similar prices. The Villafranca is really handy for the Metro and the main Termini station, which makes getting to the historical sites really easy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. "Great hotel for weekend break in Rome"
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for convenience. We arrived very late in Rome and were able to take the train straight to Termini and then walk 8mins or so to the Hotel. The hotel is officially 3 star and I think that is accurate. Lots of choice at breakfast...not great quality but very acceptable. "Basic"
The tub doesn't drain and you have to pay 18 euro a day for TV and Internet. The A/C was broken and in spite of several requests, no one fixed it. The pizza place right next door is great and cheap.
