Bra hotell, bra rum, bra läge, nära till supermarket och tunnelbana. Servicen så där. Rum utåt har störande trafik utanför. Air condition sätts inte på förrän 1 maj... vi hade 28 grader på rummet därför. Hissarna är långsamma. Är det mycket folk som bor där blir det lite längre väntan. Bra läge och bra med det lilla köket på rummet. Sängarna var sköna och rummet rymligt men heltäckningsmattan ofräsch. Det trista var den väldigt opersonliga personalen , aldrig ett leende eller en hälsning när man kom och gick, man var totalt ointressant för dem! På grund av personalen skulle jag välja ett annat hotell nästa gång.

Har just bott ett par veckor i februari på Murray Hill. Utmärkt läge på 39 gatan, centralt men ändå ganska tyst. Bra rum med stor dubbelsäng, matbord och skrivbord. Lagom stort kitchenette, med mikro, kylskåp o kaffekokare, samt eget badrum med dusch. Trevliga doormen. I kvarteret fanns en lagom stor supermarket (Angostino) samt ett FedEx-kontor där […] man kunde få hjälp med en rad kontorstjänster, typ internet, utskrifter o kopiering. Kommer tillbaka för arbete till New York i maj, och kommer då att försöka bo på Murray Hill igen om möjligt, fast rumspriset lär då dessvärre vara betydligt högre än det nu varit i februari... Trevligt hotell, bra beläget med gångavstång till Grand Central Station, Times Square mm. Stort, snyggt och fräscht rum. Litet. bra utrustat kök, där vi kunde fixa egen frukost vid behov. Kan rekommenderas.

Really nice hotel apartment. To have kitchen and separate bedroom in the absolute centre of New York is a great experience. It was a pleasure that we could cook some of our meals at home, not to mention a lot of money saved on that account. Living 3 blocks away from Grand Central and the subway meant that all of Manhattan could be reached within 20 […] minutes. The hotel is old and with no glitter and sparkles, but honestly simple, functional, nice and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. So in short, we found our preferred hotel when in New York. First: I am a little reluctant to write a positive review of this hotel. I have stayed here several times and they have always been enjoyable stays. This is a hotel type that used to dot the East Side of Manhattan, but has become increasingly rare as these hotels have been "upgraded" to much more expensive accommodations. There are a few little things, […] like the towels probably show more wear than they should and the kitchen has no dish soap or scrubber to allow the guest to clean up (but the maid cleaned everything perfectly each morning). It has been a long time since I have stayed at a hotel with a proper metal key to the room! This rather sums up the place. The room was large and as advertised, and the beds perfectly ok but apart from the flat screen tv, the room and 'kitchen' were a time warp. The wall light by the table started smoking and sparking when trying to switch it on. The […] receptionist did not seem surprised when I reported this and did not apologise. They are under staffed and it usually took time to deal with anything. The paid for internet in the room stopped working and I was credited for this and the shower went cold during use. I booked this hotel for a one night Valentine's Day get-away treat for my husband and myself. Since we were staying for just one night I booked the junior suite. No maintenance on this hotel in over 20 years. Filthy dirty carpet (wear socks), paint peeling in the shower and bathroom. Just disgusting!

Great location in midtown Manhattan. Full kitchen let us enjoy our left overs from great restaurants. Lots of room. Love it more each time we stay.

I was with my wife and 2 kids. I stayed at a double bed suite. Very confortable. Bathroom was small. Personell very friendly and eager to help. Short walk to 5th avenue. Safe area.

Staff at the hotel was very nice and very accommodating. When I arrived they gave me a VERY nice upgrade for no reason whatsoever. The doormen were very respectful and friendly. The young man at the door doubled as the IT expert and, while he was not able to solve my internet connectivity issues, he was very kind and did his best to assist. Always a great place to stay. They had trouble with the elevator, but the hotel can only contact the hotel company to repair this.

We were pleasently suprised by our suite as we had read reviews suggesting that this was a clean but very old style hotel, everything except the very functional dishwasher were up to date considering the cost and previous stays in NYC. One big hint to people not used to tipping (we are Irish and used to all inclusive) is the door man knows everything […] and with a few questions and tip will open up nyc to visitors. We all agreed that we would stay here again and enjoyed the nights in in the comfortable sitting room with a big fridge to cool our beers. I was very disappointed with this hotel. I love the location but will not stay here again. It is in dire need of rennovation. The door to my room didn't lock from the outside. Dingy would be the best descriptor of decor. There is no sound insulation and I heard every door bang all night long.

The Hotel is convenient to GCT, many restaurants and an EZ walk to shopping. Hotel is clean and in good condition. It is a good value for the money.

What a strange hotel! Murray Hill East is a converted apartment building - which we loved. The suites are spacious and quiet and if the furnishings are a bit dated and funny (like, where did they GET some of this stuff?), who cares? It's clean, the staff is great, the beds are comfortable. We will definitely be back.

I was in the city on business and booked hotel last minute based on price. For the money, it was a great value. I would stay there again.

Made reservations only 2 days ahead because of a change in plans; arrived later in the evening and was upgraded to a one-bedroom: bigger than a lot of NYC 1 BR apartments! Flat screen TV, quiet street, friendly staff. Hard to beat for a central NYC location. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

In NYC, when there is an event or high season, and hotels are at a premium, you can't be too picky. This hotel is a reliable, clean and friendly older hotel in a good location that can be had at a reasonable price.

This hotel is in a good location. It is an older hotel with old style keys instead of the electronic keys found in newer hotels. It also had older style TVs (no flat screens). More important items such and beds and carpets seemed to be updated or at least well cared for. Customer service was excellent.

The good news first: Having a suite that feels like a one-bedroom apartment for less than the price of a hotel room is a no-brainer. Who could refuse? So what if it's not fancy? So what if the interior designer isn't Martha Stewart? So what if the silverware tray sits on top of the microwave? Hey, at least there's a full kitchen, right down to a dishwasher […] (for the housekeeper). The not-so-bad news: I didn't think the staff was all that accommodating - not only to my needs, but to other guests. I noticed that they were very friendly to some guests (who seemed to be repeat customers), not so friendly - though not outright rude - to me and others. Just a tad indifferent, especially, it seemed, to people who had trouble speaking English. .The bad-ish news: They charge $7.95 for in-room internet access, and although they claim it's free in the lobby, it seems to work intermittently and also seems to depend on where you sit in the lobby which I was only informed of by another guest - not by anyone behind the front desk who I had informed of the problem. The hotel is a converted rental apartment building built in the 1950's or 1960's. Suites (former studios and 1 bedrooms) are spacious and reasonably quiet but other than updated bathroom and some kitchen appliances, there isn't anything fresh about the place. The furnishings and carpeting are adequate but hardly recent. The TV, telephones and elevators […] are old. Since there are kitchens in the units, the hotel doesn't offer breakfast. Staff is less than eager to please. Doorman is sometimes there, sometimes not. Internet went down while I was there and the staff seemed uninterested in helping get it fixed. Neighborhood is convenient. It's cheap and clean enough to consider staying there again but it's bear-bones and hardly impressive. No pay-per view. Cable TV only. Läs mer

Convenient to Midtown tunnel. Parking nearby. Walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Nice Bars and Restaurants in the area. The Junior suite was spacious and clean. Old furniture and rug but very clean. Great value, would definitely stay again.

It's a quick walk from Grand Central, a nice neighborhood. Once you have your luggage stored, you're off on a New York adventure. Staff was very friendly, room was extremely comfortable. For the price, we'd stay there again and recommend it to others.

This is the 2nd time we've had a last minute thing and needed to stay at Murray Suites. I picked it again because of the first stay. It's nice. They have a doorman, 24 hr front desk and the rooms are ample size for NYC. The only thing I really didnt like was that we had an EARLY morning appointment and requested an extra 30 minutes on check out and […] when we got back to the room after the appointment, they had already gone in and cleaned. I don't really care for the idea of anyone coming in to my room if I'm still checked in. We requested no service either. Other than that it's a great little place to stay, prices are fair for what you get, the location is pretty good, depending on where you're going and the front desk staff is great, unless you forgot your toothbrush, then they send you 4 blocks over and 5 blocks up to some store thats open 24 hours because they dont carry any amenties if anything was forgotten.
