Ett ganska typiskt engelskt hotell. Med det menar jag enkel standard, heltäckningsmattor på rummen och små men funktionella badrum. Dock var det lite si och så med städningen som utfördes varje dag. Rummen var extremt varma trots att vi stängde av allt vad element heter och sov med öppet fönster i nov. Den kontinentala frukosten som ingick var helt […] ok! Första rummet var dragit och kallt, toaletten trasig. Efter flera tillsägelser fick vi byta till ett mindre lika skitigt rum där varmvattenkranen i badrummet rann hela tiden och gjorde rummet till en ångbastu. Personalen var otrevlig och kunde knappt tala engelska. Men framför allt var det skitigt och snuskigt och och trasigt.

Hotellet var ofräscht på alla sätt och hade vi inte betalt i förskott så hade vi definitivt bytt hotell natt nummer 2.

Ett mycket bra och prisvärt hotell med kanonläge bara några meter från tunnelbanestationen Earls Court på en lugn sidogagta. Rummet var lagom stort, rent och snyggt och detsamma gäller badrummet. Det enda man möjligtvis saknade var en kaffekokare på rummet. I övrigt utmärkt service och trevlig personal. Frukosten som ingick var helt tillräcklig och […] bestod av kokta ägg, ost, skinka, marmelader, toast, kaffe, te, juicer, youghurt, musli. En bra början på dagen med andra ord. Kvarteren runt hotellet var mycket trevliga med en rad restauranger och kaféer. Och att på mindre än en halvminut nå tunnelbanestationen kändes som en verklig lyx. My Place har ovanligt trevlig och positiv personal. Läget är riktigt bra i direkt anslutning till tunnelbana och restauranger. Ett extra plus är den lilla uteplatsen på bakgården där man kan äta fruktost om vädret tillåter det. Om man är van att åka till London, så vet man att hotellen där nästan oavsett prisklass, är med svenska mått mätt, smutsiga […] och slitna. Det är My Place också, men det är inte sämre än något annat. D v s typisk London-standard. Det engelska frukosten var ovanligt bra och portionen var ungefär dubbelt så stor som den brukar vara. Tyvärr serverade de den bara från 8.30, vilket är lite väl sent om man ska jobba, vilket egentligen den enda anmärkningen jag har på hotellet. Läs mer

Detta är ett prisvärt och bra boende som ligger i trevliga kvarter och med 1 min gångavstånd till närmsta tunnelbanestation! Bra restauranger runt hotellet samt nära till Kensington där det finns bra shopping och trevliga restauranger! Nästa gång jag åker till London kommer jag bo här igen!

Great location and friendly staff. The hotel's standard is pretty poor.

Ett bra och oväntat tyst hotell i budgetklass som lever mer på läget än på hotellupplevelsen, men det är kanske vad man vill ha som "vuxenresenär" i London. Trots läget precis intill Earl's Court tunnelbanestation gick det utmärkt att sova med öppet fönster mitt under sommarsäsongen. Den ingående "kontinentala" frukosten är basal, men servicen är bra […] (gäller hela hotellet). Den trådlösa internetuppkopplingen är dock riktigt dålig och fungerar till synes endast i hotellets allmänna utrymmen vilket är ett klart minus om man är i London för affärsresor och inte som turist. Hotellet är värt pengarna och erbjuder god service, men skulle kanske må bra av en uppgradering/renovering av rummen. Läs mer

Hotellet ligger bara några meter från earls court tunnelbanestation vilket gjorde oss glatt överraskade, allt blev så mycket smidigare då! Dessutom ligger den hållplatsen precis inom ramen för zon 1 i London så det blir heller inga dyra resor för att ta sig in mot city (tar ca 15 minuter. Rummen var ganksa små men med fräscht badrum och rena sängkläder […] (man ska ju ändå bara duscha och sova där). i bodde på fjärde våning och stördes inte av varken nattclub (som finns på hotellet) eller speciellt mycket av trafiken, trots att vi sov med öppet fönster. Frukosten var mer är förväntat, man fick rostat bröd, olika marmelader, ost, skinka, ägg, youghurt, fil, fruktsallad, müsli, så det räckte gott och väl för oss iallafall. Tjejerna i receptionen var trevliga och det var ingap roblem att lämna bagagen då vårt flyg gick senare än utcheckningen var. Man får vad man betalar för. Litet och trångt, men vi sov och duschade å andra sidan bara på rummet och det dög det till! Mycket trevlig personal! När vi sa till i receptionen om tex trasiga lampor mm så var det fixat när vi kom hem efter en dags shopping! Läget var toppen, riktigt nära till tunnelbanan och med det tog vi oss över hela London hur snabbt […] och enkelt som helst. jag skulle absolut kunna tänka mig att välja det hotellet igen! Läs mer

Om du vill ha ett hotell som är nära till det mesta är detta ett bra alternativ. Rummen är ok och badrummet var fräscht. Personalen var trevlig och frukosten helt ok med tanke på priset.

Just around the corner of tube station Earl's court. Easy access. Fine variety of restaurants nearby. Hotels breakfast good. Compact living but OK. Free internet in lobby and 2 floors up. booked 2 rooms. Wanted to change one because too warm. No problems.

Bästa läge om man ska på konsert på Earls Court Arena. Bara 150 meter dit. Earls Court ligger också på Picadilly Line, vilket medför att det är enkelt att resa in till shopping (Soho) eller tåganknytning (Victoria). Standarden på själva hotellet är typiskt brittisk, dvs 70-tal. Bra frukost för att vara England. Fil, yoghurt, flingor, ost, skinka, toast, […] juice, kaffe och te. jag fick jätte bra intryck om hotellet! det var bra personal och rent runt om kring,mat salen var mysigt romantiskt, sängen var bra och det var lugnt också.

I thought the location being near a stop on the tube which was a direct line from Heathrow Airport was great. Having the tube within about 1000 ft of the hotel made it very convenient to all parts of the city. The staff was very helpful and gave great information about how to get around London. The room had a little to be desired. While the bathroom […] was new and very clean the sleeping area was not as clean. The room looked like the picture in their add but everything was faded and the colors were washed out. The ornate headboard was very dusty and when I mentioned it to the desk clerk hoping that she would have something done about it, I was disappointed when nothing was done to clean the headboard. Rooms need more attention! Good location for exhibion visitors.

I visit London regularly and while this hotel doesn't have the most modern furnishing and lacks a more up to date cable television channel options, this is "my place" to stay whenever I visit. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was mostly comfortable, although the bathroom had a musty smell. They changed our room when we requested it.

No windows, No Ventilation, Room was Like a small dirty sealed box. Furniture looks like picked up from the dumpsters

This hotel is a night mare! In the middle of the winter, they cutted the heater during the day and as we were going to sleep, we could die from the cold. We go to London once a year and have finally found a hotel that suits us, even though at first it seemed a little odd with lights off in the hallways. However, we are going back on our next visit because we found the location great and the staff really, really pleasant. Great location, and friendly staff!

This hotel is in a great place, but I struggled with the lack of any fresh air. The windows were strange (a row on the floor and a row on the ceiling) and could not be opened. This made my room impossibly warm and clammy, with very stale air. The rest of the reviews are fair I feel - quite run down, but the location is good. I stayed twice last month and both times I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, from reception, to cleaners and kitchen staff. The location is so easy with a 2 minute work to Earls Court tube and an easy walk to Kensington High Street. It's well worth the money as a three star hotel. Would stay again. Thank you!

I was overall satisfied with this hotel. Only a 5 min walk from the Earl's Ct Tube Station. Lots of facilities around- banks, restaurants, laundromats, pubs, and other public transportation means! The continental breakfast is OK but you can live without it. I had a room on the 6th floor -- and yes, they have an elevator, which isn't always available […] at this type of hotel -- and I could open the window to get fresh air w/o worrying about the fire alarm. The room was a double room and the only thing I'd like to point out is that the carpet was dirty and stained -- but the linen was clean and I got fresh towels every day. The receptionist, Natalia, was wonderful! It is, however, a 2 star hotel so don't expect much. I was pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great deal for a hotel in London. Läs mer

It's not luxurious by any means but works well as a base and place to stay for touring London. Good value for the price. We stayed 18 days. Free WiFi only covered the ground floor but there is a McD nearby that had a very good signal into our room. The Underground was only about a minute walk from the hotel so getting anywhere is London was a breeze. […] Staff was helpful and friendly. Booked even after reading poor reviews and went with low expectations and the hotel lived up to those low expectations! But for one night when in late and out early it was fine - I wouldn't plan to stay there for any length of time! Light was faulty, phone didn't work, window stuck open. The hotel is a bit old and worn but for the price it works.

Small room like most hotel in London. Service was good and the location was perfect. Over all i recomend this hotel, just avoid the chinese restaurant Dragons palace that's in the neighboorhood

It is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed at. I hardly slept, all nigth, because it was so desgusting. I thought I booked a room at a hotel, not a hostel.

The only two things I liked about the hotel was the location and that the rooms were clean. Overall I could not recommend the hotel to anyone. We had a problem with the lights and when we asked at the desk about fixing them it seemed no one would do anything. I would definitely not stay here again.

The hotel & area were fine for convenience. If I were going there again I would request a room at the rear of the building as street noise was very intrusive at the front.

I was expecting the worst after reading all the other comments, but to my surprise the hotel was actually half decent. The room was clean, even though a bit rugged and the carpets could use a change, and comfy even though it was small and looked like it was decorated by my grandmother. The trouser press, fridge and hair dryer all came in handy. Location […] is excellent, as the hotel is just around the corner from the tube stop, and it's on the piccadilly and district line in zone 1. The area has a lot of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was actually really good as well, and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Too bad there was no wifi in the rooms, but the garden area was pretty nice too, and having to drag yourself downstairs to go online allows you to see the other hotel guests as well. Stayed in August 2011. No AC so street noise is a lot with windows open. Had fan and clean sheets. Bed was pretty hard though. Ok for one night. SUPER convienent and close to stuff!! Maybe like 2.5 stars....

NOT GOOD A GOOD EXPERIENCE. If I could say how I really felt, I think I would be sued by Hotels.com. This was terribly disappointing. I am grateful I have a sense of humor, without it I might have jumped from my 5th floor walk up...elevator didn't work. And no lights in the stairwells....oh yeah except of a floor lamp on the second floor.

If you’re on one of the upper floors, you might want to buy a day’s or a week’s worth of Internet access from BT-Fon, but don’t even count on that working all the time. I stayed in a single room on the sixth floor. The room was rather small, which would not have bothered me at all had it not been filled with large stuffed furniture intended for a much larger room (and era). The bed, on the other hand, was a single, not too comfortable affair with a footboard that kept banging my knee every time I passed by. (If you’re likely to be put off by a dirty torn mattress pad, don’t look under the nice clean sheets.) The carpet by the door was really dirty, but the bathroom was nice and clean. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, which was very handy, and the shower was good and strong. There was also a television that offered three channels consisting of the same silly programming you can find on American television. The only thing I found annoying was the lighting—a dim overhead light, which made reading in bed a headache producer. (A lamp would be lovely!) Breakfast was included. It would have been more than adequate, but the "coffee" came out of a machine and was quite horrible. If you want to venture out for a decent cup of coffee and some great pastries, there’s a wonderful café just around the corner. All in all, My Place is a good place to stay considering the price, the location, and the friendliness of the staff. Oh, bonus: there’s a laundrette right across the main road on Hogarth.
