Mycket ödmjuk och trevlig personal. Rummen var rena och fina (även om just vårt rum luktade lite cigarettrök efter att den förra gästen hade rökt på rummet). Hotellet ligger lite i utkanten av Venedig, men där hittade vi de bästa barerna och den absolut bästa restaurangen under hela vår 6 dagars vistelse. Supertrevliga människor i området, genuina. […] Hade nog inte sökt oss till det området om vi hade bott mer centralt, så för oss var det perfekt. Båtbussen från flygplatsen åkte rätt nära hotellet, bara 10 min gångväg. Köpte t/r biljett f 25 euro. Slutsats: Bra medelklasshotell till ett bra pris. Läs mer

Med tanke att Venedig är ganska liten stad gjordet det inget att området Cannaregio ligger lite offside, det var skönt att komma i de äkta Venedig miljöer och kunna ta ett glas vin i kvartersbar utan några turister. Det var mycket lungt område, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, bra frukost. Jag har enbart positiva intryck från vistelsen. Den som vill uppleva […] den äkta Venedig ska definitivt överväga det alternativet. Det var lite svårt att hitta första dagen vägen till hotellet, men det enklaste sättet är att ta sig från Piazzale Roma med vaporetto till St. Alvise, Från hållplatsen är det bara 5 minuters gångväg till hotellet. Jag hade fått varning om att hotell i Venedig kan vara dyra och erbjuda små hotellrum. På Residenza Cannaregio fick vi en helt ok etagevåning med kanalutsikt för ett överkomligt pris. Kanalutsikten var väl inget att hurra för direkt, men gav ändå en Venedigfeeling. Eftersom Venedig är en ganska liten stad så spelar det ingen roll att hotellet inte […] ligger übercentralt. Vad gäller läget ligger det relativt nära buss- och tågstationen samt väldigt nära till Vapporettos (båtbussar) till öarna norr om Venedig. Personalen var tillmötesgående och flexibel. Frukosten var tämligen ordinär, ingen extralyx men ej heller kontinental. Skulle rekommendera hotellet till folk som inte vill bränna hela kassan på boende men ändå bo med ok standard. Läs mer

Hotellet ligger i nordöstra delen av Venedig med ett båtstopp precis i närheten. Att gå från tågstationen tog ca 15 minuter med packning. Superhärligt kvarter, inte lika turistigt som andra delar av Venedig. Hotellet var rent och välordnat. Servicen i receptionen var toppen. Very nice hotel in the Cannaregio. Not too far from the St. Alvise vaporetto stop. Wonderful staff, very kind and accommodating. The first night we got there, we wanted a drink in the bar, which was going to close in 25 minutes. The bartender happily made us drinks and when we started chatting it up with some other folks, happily stayed open an extra […] hour and kept making drinks. Can't say enough good things about the place. The only negative is that as you can see on a map, it is quite far from the "major" sites in Venice, which also has its benefits (less tourists, less nose, etc.). You'll find that walking all that distance to St. Mark's and Rialto quickly gets old, so plan on learning the vaporetto system well. Läs mer

The neighborhood surrounding Residenza Cannaregio is just that, a neighborhood, with local watering holes and little restaurants. While not the closest location to the main sites in Venice, it is well-placed for the boat to Murano/Burano and close to the train station. We stayed in this hotel for one night. It was gorgeous. from entering the door, we could feel hospitality .what was amazing that the hotel upgraded our room to a garden suite. What a perk! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best! Additionally, the hotel has nearest access to the water bus station linking to Murano island and 15 […] mins walking distance to the central railway station! It deserves it's ranking for sure. Great service, just a bit far from the main St. Marks Square

This hotel is lovely, and has great service. The original wood beam ceilings are visible throughout. The restaurant is only open for the full buffet breakfast, and the bar is open only for drinks until 11PM. They have rooms that are directly on a canal and allow you to watch boats and pedestrians pass by. Other rooms open to their beautiful courtyard. […] The location, however, is a bit off the beaten track in a residential section of Venice. You can take a water taxi, as the hotel has a pier right off the lobby! The water taxi from the airport, however, costs over E100. If you choose public transportation, as we did, you will have to take a taxi or bus to Piazza Roma, then a water bus (4.2 or 5.2) to St. Alvise pier, then walk over 1/4 mile dragging your luggage up and down over two bridges (20 steps each) to the hotel. The hotel is difficult to find the first time, and there are no public phones in this residential area. Alternatively, there is another waterbus company, Ilaliguna, which runs a bus from the airport to the next pier over. The hotel is about a 30 minute wald from St. Marks Square. Läs mer

Great hotel, very clean, large rooms, modern bath, great breakfast buffet with large selection of hot and cold choices. Helpful and courteous staff offered dining choices and a glass blowing tour at no charge. Away from the crowds but only a 30 minute walk to St. Mark's square. We arrived at night by water taxi from the airport. What a breathtakingly beautiful ride! This hotel is in a wonderful neighborhood but it's a longish (albeit quite enjoyable) hike down to Piazza San Marco! We stayed for three nights until our cruise departed. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is far away from the main attractions, but that can be nice in high season when Venice is so over crowded. Once you are hip to the Vaporetti, it is easy to get around and walking is minimal. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood of Venice. Although a walk from the train station and Plaza Roma, it is well worth it. Same with the San Marcos Square. You can walk to the tourist sites but be away from the throngs of tour boat tourists that overwhelm the areas around San Marcos Square and the Rialto Bridge. Hotel was clean and the rooms were large by European standards. Staff was helpfull and the complimentary breakfast was very good with meats, breads, cereals and fruit. Staff was able to arrange tours and water taxis without any problem. Good place to stay and you can walk to the more crowded areas during the day.

The Residenza is located in a quiet and delightful section of Venice. It is primarily a residential area, away from the busy, tourist areas, but with lovely restaurants. The hotel itself was originally a monastery. The rooms are wonderfully quiet, and the general character has been maintained (complete with the cloistered garden). I enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It was located in a quiet residential area. It was a nice break from the chaos in the tourist area. The hotel itself had a very nice atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very decent.

Our location was great as we were away from the hustle and bustle. The courtyard was a nice place to relax. It was a short walk to the vaporetto on both the Grand Canal and St Alvise. The surrounding neighborhood was very quiet. Our boys really enjoyed going to the near by piazza to play with other children. For us the location was excellent but if […] you like to be in the middle of the excitement stay in San Marco. We stayed in a loft with a nice view of the canal below. The beds were soft for our taste and the pull out couch was what you would expect and no different from what you would find anywhere else so I did not grade down for this. The room was clean. The hotel staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful (and English speaking). They made good recommendations for restaurants and helped with reservations. There are not a lot of options for food or gelato in the immediate area due to the neighborhood location but you can find places to eat within walking distance and without taking a boat ride. Old carpet, bedding, towels. We suffered bed bug bites. Told the staff, they did not want to even consider it. It's equal to a Motel 6 in the US. Overpriced for the quality. This hotel is located in a quiet out of the loop neighborhood. Great place to come "home" to after a hot, muggy day of exploring Venice. When you dine in the local restaurants you are likely to encounter more locals than tourists. Area just has a great vibe. I would return to this hotel in a heart beat! It was a bit out of the tourist area, and we loved that....much more residential. We were there for almost a week...and felt at home. Try it...!

Three good things about the stay: 1) Staff was very friendly and helpful during the entire stay. Recommended very good restaurants that was outside of the super touristy neighborhoods. This stylish, affordable hotel is in a great, non-touristy location. It has great staff, spacious rooms and a decent breakfast buffet and is only a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops and bars, and the all-important water buses. It would have been handy to have been informed about how to get to the accommodation by public water bus - instead we had […] to catch a water taxi, which ended up costing 60 euros... A few simple instructions and a map would have been suffice. To save yourself this expense, contact the hotel prior to your arrival so you know the directions. We wouldn't recommend walking from the train station to the hotel if you are carrying with you heavy suitcases, as there are quite a few steps and bridges along the way. Nevertheless, even with luggage, it's a maximum 20 minute walk from the station to the hotel (but much quicker and less stressful by water bus)!! Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit and something for everyone. Having to walk with a cane, the trips into town over numerous bridges was difficult, but the rooms made up for it. Shopping was exquisite with Murano glass and Venetian masks were exquisitel. Plenty of options for gifts!

We arrived for 1 night in Venice; who knew that the day we arrived Venice would be literally under water. It had rained so much, that the walkways were flooded with a foot of water. We purchased water boots just to walk around Venice and to reach our hotel. Wonderful hotel. Excellent deal. Great room - very spacious and well equipped, modern and cozy. A little hard to find as it is in an out of the way, but authentic and beautiful area of Venice. I would highly recommend staying here, but make sure you have a map before you embark!

Picked room for price. However, after realizing price of breakfast which we thought was included, we realized the hotel might not have been such a deal. Located to the northeast of the Rialto and central venice, it is certainly one way to experience benice..by walking through half of it to get to your hotel. There are other hotels near the rialto for […] about the same price and will save you the 45 minute walk. For a plus, it is close to the boat docks which go out to the northeast islands like murno and cemetria(sp?). The front hotel staff was less then friendly. There's free wifi in the lobby, 4 euro/hour in the room. Two twin mattresses pushed together in the double room left an uncomfortable gap. The neighbourhood was lovely and the room itself was nice so we were overall happy with our stay.

very nice hotel, clean, well mannered staff and really comforatble once you are there. but slightly difficult to find, bit far away from central station and with no water taxi, might be difficult to reach there with big luggages. would be helpful if they could provide assistance from central station for those who reach there.

Hotel was a little off the beaten path, but was clean and comfortable. We had a canal view room. Could hear some sounds from the hotel. Breakfast was great. Employees were very professional and helpful. Thought it was good value and would stay there again.

It is a good hotel but the location is slightly off beat. Problem is that the streets in Venice take a while to get used to as they are narrow and not well marked. The Hotel is not well advertised/marked and it is very tough to locate via Google maps. The hotel webpage does not show any landmarks around the hotel. They speak about the Ghetto being […] around the palce, true but even to reach the hotel form there is not without some degree of navigational acumen. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We had a huge duplex suite for three people that overlooked a very quaint garden courtyard for a relatively decent price. We always had to ask for directions or about tourist attractions, and the staff was always friendly and very knowledgeable. The location is especially great if you do not want to be in […] the heart of the tourist regions. It is located in the more local, residential area so it was definitely quieter and cheaper than the main areas. A five minute walk will get you to a vaporetto stop, and a 15 minute walk will get you to the border of the tourist areas. The buffet breakfast was very delicious and extremely hearty. Lots of variety of meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, pastries, fruit, cereal, and yogurts. There were juices, tea, and coffee as well. This was a great hotel in a neighborhood and would definately stay there again. It was quaint and had a great breakfast. It was clean and quiet which was important to us.

Nice location in a quite, charming neighborhood with easily access to/from the airport (Orange line to first stop, Madonnna de Orto then a 10 minute walk). Charming old building that has been updated with modern ammenities. The morning breakfast was standard fare but yummy! A wonderful hotel in an area of Venice where people actually live, rather than just being a tourist center. Gives you the feeling of what it would be like to live in Venice. You do have to be somewhat adventurous about traveling to stay there, as you will be doing a lot of walking and hopping on and off the "vaporettos" to get around.

Vebice is confusing so finding the hotel was difficult, once found everything was great
