Mycket fräsch och hyggligt välutrustad lägenhet. Läget är mycket bra, gångavstånd till många sevärdeheter och många restauranger i närheter. Trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Ett plus är närheten till stationen på Alexanderplatz - mycket smidigt att ta tåget från flygplatsen och gå över gatan till hotellet. Det finns en mycket bra asiatisk restaurang i bottenvåningen. En välsorterad (men ganska dyr) livsmedelsaffär i botten på gellerian på andra sidan vägen som är öppen även på söndagar.

Fint, trevligt hotell med trevlig personal. Trafiken från vägen utanför kan i vissa rum vara lite störande men absolut ett väldigt prisvärt och fint hotell. Kan även rekommendera den kroatiska restaurangen som ligger mitt emot hotellet. Gratis Internet.

Vi var sex stycken som delade på sviten och fick därmed en perfekt umgängesmöjlighet och ett toppenboende i ett riktigt trevligt område i Berlin. Kan rekomendera kambenen rakt över gatan på "White Trash", samt "the Bird" en bit upp på gatan som serverade Berlins bästa hamburgare och kött. Hotellet hade trevlig personal och utifrån priset grymt fint rum.

Arcotel Velvet Berlin ligger i stadsdelen Mitte i Berlin, nära Deutsches Theater, Pergamentmuseet och Berlinmurmonumentet. I närheten finns även Riksdagen och Brandenburg-porten.
Hotellegenskaper.
På detta hotell som passar för de som reser i arbetet kan man äta på coffee shop/kafé. Trådlös och ej trådlös höghastighetsanslutning till Internet är kostnadsfri i allmänna utrymmen. Detta hotell har 4 stjärnor samt har affärsinriktade bekvämligheter, inklusive företagscenter, mötesrum för små grupper och ljud- och videoanläggning. Mitte, tidigare Östberlins centrum, delas i två delar av Unter den Linden. I Mitte ligger nästan alla Berlins främsta kyrkor, muséer, teatrar och minnesmärken. TV-tornet Fernsehturm vid Alexanderplatz har den bästa utsikten över Berlin. Bland muséerna finns Pergamon, Nationalgalleriet, Bode och det äldsta muséet Altes Museum. Rådhuset Rotes Rathaus och domkyrkan der Dom ligger nära muséerna och det finns ytterligare två kyrkor vid torget Gendarmenmarkt.

Hotellet ligger bra till, nära till tunnelbana och fler linjer några minuter söderut vid Friedrich Strasse. Stora fönster så var inte rädd för insyn eller be om rum högt upp. När vi var där i jan upplevde jag rummet som något kallt och vi lyckades inte få upp värmen. Rent och fräscht med badkar och liten minibar. Minus för lite hårda sängar och att […] vi inte hade något wi-fi. Bra hotell, frukosten är inget vi rekommenderar utan köp detta på någon trevlig bar eller resturang i området. Trevlig personal som gärna hjälper till. U-bahn och S-bahn ligger precis intill hotellet så det är lätt att ta sig till alla delar av Berlin.

Trevligt hotell med hjälpsam personal. Nära till innerstaden Berlin och om man vill ta sig längre, t.ex Kreuzberg är det lätt via t-bana som finns runt hörnet. Hade ej frukost för att det var dyrt men finns flera bra alternativ i området runt hotellet. Gillar man konst, missa inte Tacheles som ligger vägg i vägg med hotellet.

Hotellet har ett bra läge i östra Berlin, en tvärgata till Fredrichstrasse. Vi kunde promenara till merparten av sevärdigheterna. Det är ett väldigt modernt hotell med stora glas "fönster" (väggar) ut mot gatan. Dock upplevde jag inte att hotellet levde upp till sina fyra stjärnor. Det finns ingen restaurang så ingen vanlig buffé-frukost serveras utan […] man får en "on the go" påse med baguette, müslibar och frukt. "Arcotel Berlin"
Ok hotel i ett kanske lite tveksamt område. Skönt att kunna låsa in bilen i hotellets garage (18 EUR). Frukost i påse kan inte jämföras med en normal hotellfrukost .

Enlekt, snyggt hotell med bra läge och oätlig frukost (ingår inte, man får den bara om man betalar extra). Sängarna saknar bäddmadrass.
"Velvet Arcotel Berlin - nja....."
På vår MC-semester hade vi beslutat besöka Berlin. Jag ville ha ett någorlunda centralt beläget hotell med garage, för att ha våra MC någorlunda tryggt parkerade. Döm om vår besvikelse, då "garaget" visade sig bestå av "hissburar" där man inte under några omständigheter tillät MC-parkering. Man hänvisade istället till en grusparkering ett par kvarter […] bort, där vakten högst motvilligt lät oss parkera för 10 EUR per MC och natt. Kvarteren i gamla östberlin är minst sagt ruffiga, med rivningskåkar och ruckel befolkade av uppenbart bohemiska människor - gillar man jazz, technomusik, alternativkonst och graffitti har man hamnat rätt! Frukosten på hotellet är ett skämt - färdiga, inplastade mackor av bagel-typ, kaffe i pappmugg och lite juice om man har tur. Priset var dock anständigt, och rummen fräscha men okonventionella - badrummet endast avskilt med ett flortunnt draperi, och väggen mot gatan helt i glas från golv till tak. Insyn? Lita på det..... Ganska mycket oväsen också, från spårvagnar, trafik och nattliv (jazzkonserter utomhus på rivningstomter intill). Läs mer

Läckert hotell, för 1-3 nätter. Luftiga och välplanerade rum. Trevlig personal. Rätt läge om man ska utforska Mitte/G:la ÖstBerlin. Glatt överraskad av en stad som trots storleken, inte var hysteriskt full av bilar eller stressade människor. Maten är just det mat. Ok, men saknar lite känsla. Perfekt we-end upplevelse med andra ord.

"Bra hotell med kanonläge"
Vi bodde på Arcotel Velvet v15-16 och hotellet var mycket trevligt och hade ett kanonläge i Mitte. Det ligger i ett bra område nära många bra restauranger och sevärdheter. Rummen var mycket bra, med ett litet minus till dom hårda sängarna, personalen mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Det ingick också en bra frukost. "Fint hotell med bra läge - Men med STORA fönster"
Jättefint och väldigt trevligt hotell i centrala Berlin med gångavstånd till det mesta. Mycket nära till både tunnelbana, pendeltåg och spårvagn. Enkelt att ta sig till/från flygplatsen (Tegel) med allmänna kommunikationsmedel (buss+t-bana). Frukostpåsar finns tillgängligt varje morgon om man vill äta i loungen eller på rummet. Fräscha designade rum […] och bra badrum, även om det hade varit bra med duschdraperi. Den designade duschväggen är inte jätteeffektiv, men det funkar. Trevligt med gratis frukt på rummet. Bra utbud av engelska och tyska tv-kanaler, DVD-spelare och bra högtalaranläggning för TV, musik och film. Rummen som vetter ut mot gatan har jättestora fönster av skyltfönstermodell, så det är svårt att njuta av den härliga utsikten utan att känna att folklivet på gatan tittar tillbaka, om man bor på första eller andra våningen. Det finns dock effektiva mörkläggningsgardiner och en tunnare voile-gardin att dra för. Sammantaget ett bra och prisvärt hotell som jag gärna återvänder till i framtiden. Läs mer
Vi är mycket nöjda med hotellet. Valde att bo i en juniorsvit som inte kostade så mycket mer än ett vanligt rum. Fick då panoramafönster år två håll samt tillgång till en altan. Sängarna var lite hårda, men det är det enda lilla minuset. Bra läge med nära till både s-bahn och u-bahn. Coolt och alternativt "occuperat" hus i närheten där man kunde vandra […] runt för att titta på konst eller ta en öl på en stor utebar på gården. Mkt fräscht hotell med hjälpsam personal. "Prisvärt och fint hotell men högljutt kvarter"
Snyggt hotell, med designade rum i kvarter som kan liknas vid Sthlms södermalm centrala delar. Mysigt, många restauranger med uteserveringar. Enda nackdelen var den höga ljudvolymen från utomhuskonsert-baren på bakgården. Inte så stort problem om man får rum mot gatan, och hotellet delade frikostigt ut hörselproppar till gäster vid förfrågan. "Convenient"
After bad start where we were put into a room specifically designed for disabled travellers with shower only and we had had a request for room with bath confirmed, we were put in room 512. Very good room in size, quietness, and comfort. Easy walking and interesting sights in neighbourhood. Would certainly recommend this hotel .

"Solid boutique hotel"
Nice boutique hotel. Our room was a good size and it was well decorated. An apple for each of us everyday was a pleasant surprise. Located a short subway or tram ride to many sights in a tourist area. Would stay there again. Floor to ceiling windows if at front of hotel.

This hotel has no ammenities. It is basically a reception, a lift, and hotelrooms. As such, it needs to compensate with more comfortable rooms. The problem here is that this is not the case - and so the hotel is overpriced. The recommendation is to look for a better option - you can get a proper hotel for this price-level. The quality of the beds MUST […] be improved! Even if you like firm beds (and I do) the beds at this hotel are hard and basically uncomfortable. "Very clean and nice hotel"
Visited this hotel for 5 nights. The Hotel is well located in the center of Berlin very close to the Metro. The stuff is very young and friendly. The complementary internet is a very big plus for this nice Hotel. I highly recommend it to everybody who wants to visit Berlin.

"Good hotel, No Sleep due to rave next door"
Great location, interesting architecture, great except that despite triple glazing couldn't sleep due to the thud, thud, thud of the bass from a neighbouring club night. Real shame. Love a rave as much as the next guy, but really tedious when a) next to hotel and b) having to get up at 6 am to get a flight. We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, rooms are small but clean. We took a room at the back of the hotel as the staff told us it was quieter. We had also requested a non-smoking room when we booked and had to pay extra when we checked in for a non-smoking room so that was a little disappointing. Very close to Museum Isle and a nice walk to Brandenburg […] Gate & Riechstag. We did take the u-bahn which is just around the corner from the hotel for anywhere that we were going that is a little further away. There is a 24 hour convenience type of store also by the u-bahn that we visited often for water and other treats. Couple of nice restaurants right across the street. Some "interesting" activity happening just a few buildings away from the hotel but we felt safe in the neighborhood. Happy that we weren't right in the middle of touristville, but close to all the activity. Läs mer

"Great location, friendly staff"
The hotel was exactly like the photos online and the location is great. Tons of restaurants on the street and central to everything by train or walking. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They were able to give us electrical adapters and wifi was free. The bartender made great drinks, even if they were a bit pricy. The rooms were on the small […] side but not uncomfortable. The only issue was the air conditioning was very week and we had to open the window, which meant letting in the noise. Also for some reason the sink is huge and a little awkward. "Nice value with free internet and breakfast"
Small but comfortable rooms. The area is full of young tourists but we couldn't hear them in the room. Nicely decorated, although the mattress and pillows were of lower quality. One oddity for american visitors is that while the toilet is behind closed doors, the shower and washroom are only separated from the bedroom by a sheer curtain. There is wired […] internet in the room and free wireless in the lobby. The takeaway breakfast is a tasty sandwich (either meat or cheese) and a piece of fruit. The coffee is okay, but there is a fantastic coffee place next door. Location is great. Just steps from the U-Bahn and a couple of blocks from Friedrichstrasse. "Arcotel Velvet Berlin in Mitte area"
This hotel is centrally located in the Mitte area which is close to most tourist attractions. There is a U-bahn and S-bahn station very close by (about a block to a block and a half away). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped us with maps and directions and offered to print our boarding passes. The complimentary breakfast is a […] baguette with either ham or cheese and a piece of fruit. Coffee, tea, juice are also included. They pack it to go so you can either eat in the lounge or take it away. The breakfast was good and saved us time. There are lots of restaurants and cafes close to the hotel so there isn't a problem if you want to go out to eat. The room was neat and clean, but the layout was a little strange. It looked like the room was intended to have a double or queen bed, but since I asked for two beds they laid one bed along the wall and another across the headboard. The bathroom was also interesting because there isn't a shower or bath stall/curtain. The handheld shower is against a wall and a drain is in the middle of the floor. So if you're not careful you could get the entire bathroom wet and flooded because the water doesn't drain that quickly. I got used to the layout after a while. I still would recommend the hotel because of it's friendly staff and convenient location. Läs mer

"Rude reception"
Lady at the front desk made me feel like an idiot because I couldn't find my room, which had a decimal 616.1 Really curious behaviour as it wasn't on the wall when leaving the lift and others must face the same issue all the time.
"It's meant for couples"
I like the hotel a lot actually. The rooms were comfortable and the windows were very big and opened up, which I also liked. There is a button you can push in the room that gives the bathroom area a reddish glow. Something called Warmalampe or something like that. It seems geared more towards couples and less toward family though. As an example, the […] shower is separated from the rest of the room by a glass door which means you can see whoever is in the shower quite clearly until the glass fogs up. There is a mirror under the TV, which is mounted on the wall opposite the bed. If you lay on the bed and raise your head, you can see yourself in the mirror. Like I said, geared toward couples. There are fresh apples in the room everyday, which is a nice touch. My two peeves were that they didn't make up the room after our first day, which is not very good service at all. I was VERY upset about that. Also the breakfast is not sit down. They give you the food and you go elsewhere to eat it, which is weird. I loved the location. It was next to Tacheles, which is an artist collective. Lots of great places to eat right there on the same street and it's quite easy to walk to other spots on that side of Berlin plus the subway is just down the street as well. Very convenient. There is no wifi in the room, only in the lobby, another drawback. If you need to print anything, you can email it to the address provided by the front desk and they will print it out for you so that helps. All in all, i'd stay there again if I were only in Berlin for one night. Otherwise, i'd have to get assurances from the hotel that they will make up my room, but then you kind of have to ask yourself if it's such a good idea to stay at a place where you would have to ask for assurances that you would ordinarily assume you won't need. The hotel no longer has the noise problems with a neighbouring night club. Its staff is professional, the rooms were spotless and air conditioned. Unless your room faces the road in front of the hotel you can open your room's window wide. The public transit around the hotel is outstanding with S Bahn, U Bahn and street cars. The Hotel Arcovelvet is in a great location, close to all the great spots for sightseeing and shopping but not yet it is not too touristy. The art squats next door make it a funky, arty part of town. Great hotel for a long weekend. Ideally located in the Mitte district with great restaurants and bars close by. Even though the rate stated that breakfast was not included, the hotel proved breakfast snacks to eat in or take away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

In the midle of it all, with it's cute architexture and the remot Bass-bit from club nearby Velvet is a comfortable spot yet compatible with the eclectic pulse of Berlin. not a family tipe neigbourhood at night - but a perfect spot to start the dailt tour and a nigtout. we loved it.

I loved my stay at Arcotel Velvet Berlin. Breakfast in the Velvet Lounge each morning was nice. They provided coffee, tea, brotchoen, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit every morning. The rooms were clean and they leave two apples in your room each day. I would stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Berlin again.

This hotel is really tendy and unique with breathtaking views over the Berlin skyline. We stayed in the suite as there were 3 of us and it was fabulous. Really spacious and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows. The staff were lovely, there was a free breakfast we didn't know about and bowls of fruit around the place. It is in the perfect position […] for sightseeing as well as nightlife. just a short stroll from the river as well as all the sights near Alexsanderplatz.
