Hotellet har ett kanonläge, dock kan närliggande nattliv vara störande. Personalen var lite yr vid vår ankomst, vi fick ett rum där det låg någon stackare och sov. Detta löste de hyfsat snabbt. Hotellet ligger väldigt centralt, nära till allt. Vi bodde i mycket fint rum som stämde exakt med bilder som finns på Hotels hemsida. Tjejen i receptionen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Vid nästa besök i Glasgow så kommer vi stanna på samma hotell. Vi rekommenderar varmt detta hotell.

I stora, bullriga men i övrigt trevliga Glasgow kändes det tryggt och skönt att komma tillbaka till detta hotelet. Vi blev mycket vänligt bemötta av personal. Rummen var stora och mycket modernt inredda med färger och mönster. Saknade en duschslang och lite mer behaglig belysning i rummet, annars mycket sköna sängar. Vi hade ett dubbelrum med en stor […] säng och en enkelsäng. Vattenkokare med kaffe och te fanns i rummet. Ingen minibar men en mycket trevlig liten bar på bottenplan. Rekommenderar verkligen. Hit kommer jag gärna tillbaks! Tillbringade 3 nätter här med en väninna och hotellet låg perfekt till, var rent och snyggt, trevlig personal och rekommenderas såväl till familjer, par och singlar som till vänresor.

Bra hotell mitt i centrum. Rummen var helt okej, men tyvärr var servicen i receptionen inte bra. Personalen kunde inte ge tips på bra ställen att äta, inga tips på bra klubbar för nattens aktivitet helle. Men läget är helt okej med gångavstnd till det mesta.

Excellent location, close to shopping and many restaurants. Everything you need is just a few steps away. Very warm service with a smile, and the room was perfectly clean. Do not have that big hotel chain feeling, very cosy atmosphere, and very good breakfast. This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we will definately go back.

Room furnishings and fittings starting to look a bit old. Wallpaper in the room was enough to give you a headache. Waste bin in the bathroom still had the previous guests waste in it when I checked in. Not great. Ok for one night. I probably wouldnt stay here again. There are plenty of similar priced hotels in Glasgow to choose from.

Close to all amenities and surrounded by numerous top class eating places. Spoilt for choice. Car parking not an issue as Q park within walking distance of hotel. Staff friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, with furnishings and decor well colour coordinated and pleasing to the eye. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money.

Great location, great staff, great breakfast, but the rooms and the public areas are tired and need a makeover. Promised a superior room and was obviously shown to a bog standard room with tatty wallpaper, cracked sink and not so clean carpet

The location of the hotel is very convenient, but the hotel itself left much to be desired. My room was on the first floor at the front (right on a main street), which meant that it was incredibly loud, even with the windows closed. The second story of the buses looked right into my room as they were waiting at the stoplight at the corner. Also, the […] bed linens did not seem at all clean when I arrived; there were lots of hairs all over the bed linens. From the folds in the sheets it looked like they had been changed, but somehow the washing didn't remove the hairs. The good news is that the staff were always very nice and the location is really convenient. But I'm a sound sleeper and I had to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep, and the hair situation was just alarming. Läs mer

Our booking was changed from the Marks to the H I Express. This I believe was unusual. Changed bookings are normally directed to the main holiday Inn,which is connected to the Express Inn. We could not fault the staff, they inhanced our stay. Thier friendly attitude made up for not being booked into the main Holiday Inn.

Very friendly staff. No question or matter was too small for them. Room was comfortable, warm and clean. A definite recommendation.

We arrived early at the hotel and were greeted by extremely friendly staff who advised us that our room was ready for us and throughout our stay we had absolutely no complaints at all and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Hotel it's self is lovely although I was shocked at how rude the dining staff were. My cousin and I came downstairs in time for breakfast and gave our room number and waited to be seated but the woman at the door did not believe we were guests of the hotel and asked to see out room key, which was not only completely rude,but embarrassing as there […] were people behind us sniggering and they did not get asked for their room card! who in their right mind would just wander in from the street to get breakfast?! Recently returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We were quickly checked in to our room which was spacious and modern and clean. The hotel is ideally situated in Bath Street, 5 minute walk from Buchanan Galleries. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the surrounding area. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the mornings and though the […] hotel was busy the staff worked hard to make sure everyone was served. We also had a pre-theatre supper meal at the hotel one night which was very good value for a three course meal for two which included a bottle of wine. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location of this hotel is very close to the city centre whilst being in quiet street. There was a good choice of breakfast, both continental and cooked which was served by polite and friendly staff. Unfortunately the rooms were extremely hot, making it difficult to sleep. The garish decor didn't help either!

Marks is central and very reasonable. Rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is decent.

Only criticism we had was that although the breakfast was lovely it was not very hot at all. Location was perfect for everything. room was fine and cleanliness was excellent. Will definately book again.

the hotel is old and need a real update. too far of a walk from the city center. breakfast is 2 stars, very very basic.

Brill location which means convenient to get around

St Mark’s hotel is located in the heart of city centre within walking distance to the major shopping centre and other commonly known high street store and numerous 24 hr small shops. The hotel staffs are polite, friendly and willing to offer advice. The hotel has an array of restaurants, but evening meals can be considerably pricey so be aware, but […] there are others which are reasonably priced and good food. The rooms are basic with the exception of the Superior Rooms but they come with a price tag to match nevertheless rooms are clean, tidy and basically furnished with Tea & Coffee facilities and the added bonus of Wi-Fi. The major downside is the rooms don’t have any air conditioning or mini safe and those at the rear of the hotel have the added nuisance of the air conditioning units of adjacent buildings not ideal if you want to sleep windows ajar for cool air. A number of the guest like us mentioned non-functioning extractor fans in the bathrooms and signs of mould a consequence, but this should not detract you from staying there. The breakfast selection is fairly acceptable, but the bar is slightly on the expensive side, walking around you’ll find a number of pubs some with an extensive range of whiskeys, idea if you are found of this beverage or want to try them out. A another major drawback is parking and you are effectively forced to use the adjacent multi story secure car park, which although discounted for guests of the hotel for a week’s stay you are stung for considerable amount. The car parking fiasco is not mentioned anywhere so be prepared. The overall experience is that the hotel represents value for money, in a central location and within easy reach of the motorway, it not 4* but fairly close. Läs mer

Great setting for the centre of Glasgow, stayed during the Take That concerts, bus stop on Renfield street, which is the street next to hotel, had express buses going directly to Hampden. The two guys on reception when we arrived were first class, really friendly and welcoming.

In The Marks you couldn't get closer to the shops, from our window on the 7th floor you could literally see Buchanan Galleries. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotless. I would definitely come back and stay in the Marks!

We had the chance to have a suite at the last floor. In fact it was really a mezzanine upstairs with a living room and bathroom downstairs. Fantastic view with a glass wall from top to bottom. Wonderful breakfast, nice people, very clean, very well located in the shopping area. All this with un unbeatable price. can you ask more ?

I stayed for 6 days in this hotel and on a whole I was very happy with the hotel and service.The rooms were bright and airy with sliding doors which could be opened fully. The breakfast was extensive and tasty. I ate in the hotel restuarant twice and was happy on both occasions (they have some good deals). On a whole, the front desk staff were friendly […] and helpful (I had trouble with my laptop and the young man at the desk at night time went out of his way to recommend a computer shop who could fix it). Very easy access to the bus station, Glasgow Concert Hall, main shopping streets. There is no gym there but a gym only a few doors away has good deals on 1 or 3 day passes. Highly recommend!! The staff was pleasant and helpful, food in the restaurant was extremely good, location was very convenient for our purposes and the free WIFI wasa definite plus.

Arrived to a busy check in area but staff very polite, friendly and apologetic for delay in finding my online booking. Great standard of breakfast included which was made more enjoyable by the humour of the young man hosting it. Would definately return in the future.
