Bra hotell om man är ute efter någonting i den billigare klasse. Jätte bra servispersonal på alla sätt och vis. de bokar utflykter och kan själva erbjuda transfer till och från flygplasten. A good budget hotel about 10 minutes walk from old town in a safe area. A good breakfast was provided with plenty of tables even during busy times and always replenished speedily. "Lovely stay"
We had a great few days at this hotel and would certainly recommend it. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and there was plenty of choice at breakfasat. "Will definitely go back"
The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the main square, it's very hard to get lost in Krakow as all roads seem to lead to the heart of the town. The staff in the hotel are very helpful and friendly, breakfast is available fron 07:00 - 10:00 and you can eat as much or a slittle as you like. There is a safi inside the wardrobe which you can set to your […] own pin number and this is free to use. The only down side to the hotel is the medical centre opposite the hotel reception which houses the ambulance service, so if you're easily disturbed take ear plugs with you. "Batory Hotel, Krakow - Would stay again."
This is a small hotel, well kept, very clean and non-smoking through out. Trams run nearby and the Main Square is a ten minute walk. Was able to walk to hotel from rail station in about fifteen minutes, so well located. The staff were very friendly and the food and bar rates were reasonable too. The rooms are pretty basic, and only the minimal tidying up was done. This was ok, considering the reasonable price, convenient location, and that we only spent sleeping time in the room. breakfast buffet had ample selection. I loved staying at Batory. It was my first time travelling to Europe from Canada and I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and delicious breakfast buffet, which kept me and my family full until 4-5 p.m. I liked the room, the furniture, which was made of wood, the washroom with bidet and the shower cabin. It is worth mentioning that the hotel […] provides complimentary mineral water for only one night of your stay. We stayed for six nights and we would have been happier to have the water for the period of our stay, but we were grateful anyway. We bought water at the convenience store very close to the hotel. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the railway station, which made it convenient for us to go to the airport from there, rather than taking a taxi, which cost a lot more. We needed to rent a wheel chair and the lady at the reception took her time to find the appropriate place for us to rent the chair from, which was very nice of her. Though the hotel seems tiny, it is very cosy and it was vey quiet in the hallways, though every room was booked. Since we were staying in two rooms, we liked our room on the 2-nd floor of the main building better than the room on the third floor, in terms of carpets and the fan in the washroom, which was absent on the third floor. The rooms were kept in a very clean condition. I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room like in Canadian hotels, but there wasn't; nevertheless, we loved our stay very much. "Wonderful place, need to return to see more"
This Hotel was fully up to expectation having read other reviews. As a 3* hotel it was certainly a leader. Clean well maintained and excellent Staff who spoke english so well. We dined in the restaurant on first night as we were tired having slept 3 hours due to an early flight and food was good Polish style fare but due to season we only had another […] family dining in that night and the price was so very good. The breakfast buffet was excellent as there was so much choice to cater for all the nationalities staying there. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to the old town square or rail station or castle. As we stayed only 3 nights we could not see everything you would need a week. A summer visit would be fantastic but first week of november was so mild at 18c. I rate this hotel highly and we would like to return as we had such a good long weekend. Having updated the rooms since our last visit, we were very impressed with the standard of the rooms. Only disappointment is no kettle and coffee in the room. The hotel is well placed, just outside the city walls so it is very quiet but an absolute doddle to walk anywhere within 15 mins from the castle to the jewish quarter. Very near to the railway station if you need it but all trips and tours can be booked through the hotel and be picked up from the hotel. Only problem is that you have to pay cash for the trips - no credit or debit cards but there is a cashpoint next to the front door so no problem. Like most hotels in Krakow, this hotel is also old. However, it offers a good breakfast with a variety of food. The family room is spacious. The staff speaks English well. The Internet is free, get the password from the front desk. The big problem, wireless connection is only available in the "main" building (where the breakfast is served and the check-in […] desk is located) - too bad if your room is not in this building - you must carry your laptop to there. About 10-15 minutes walk to Krakow main square (where the cloth hall and St. Mary's Basilica are located). It is a bit difficult to find if you walk from the Krakow train station. Carrying a big luggage, I took the longer and more difficult way (with narrow and rough pavements) with the unclear Google map direction. If you wanted to walk to the hotel from the train station, when you get out from the station find the big square in front of Galeria Krakowska (the big mall adjacent to the train station). Go up a little bridge at the left end of the square and turn right afterward. Turn left on Radziwillowska street and go straight until the end of the road. After that, turn left on Kopernika street, pass under another bridge and turn right on Blich street. In about 100 meters, turn left on Kollataja street and turn right at the end of the street. Batory Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Jewish quarter and Schlinder's factory and also just a 10 minute walk to Old Town or railway station. We had a room in the annex which was basic but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Bathroom clean and good shower. Staff spoke good English on reception and were very helpful. This is a great place to stay. It is a 10 minute walk from the old town square as well as most other sites that you would want to see. For the price it was great! Very clean and very friendly staff!! I would highly recommend eating at the resturant in the hotel. Not only is it cheep but its very good. Hotellet hadde rene rom og servicen var god. Noe enkel standard på rommene, men det var lav pris på de. Ti minutters gange fra gamlebyen.
