I anticipated a much larger and a much more run down place than we got. Perhaps due to a bad experience during the same trip but Hotel Fly Away really surprised me in a good way. It's small, and I'm tempted to use the word cozy but I'm not. There is nothing lacking in the core few things that I find important. Room size waz good, most important everything […] was clean and up to speed. Our room on the second floor even had a balcony over the restaurant which allowed us to round up our trip by spending a great evening just sitting there (we were exhausted from a long trip). Furthermore, the hotel provides an airport shuttle that takes about 10 mins to get to the terminals and is so practical that we checked in the day before which made our transfer even smoother the following day. All in all it's a great place if you're gonna "Fly Away" as the name suggests. It's location in Kloten, a suburb, isn't ideal if you're the sightseeing tourist but I can't see a reason why it's not possible to spend more days there. On the downside, nobody in the pizzeria speaks english. The pizza is great so I guess there is little to remark on there, the reception was perfect in their english so nothing to worry about. We booked this hotel for our first and last nights of our trip since we arrived late afternoon and left early morning so finding a hotel close to the airport with free transportation was our goal. They even offered luggage storage at no charge which was very useful for us. On our first night we got 2 double rooms which were great; roomy, clean and […] comfortable. on our last night we got the family room , which can sleep 4. The room was clean and roomy but the ceiling above the beds is very low , we banged our heads few times. On top of it its noisy, we could hear everything that our next door guests said. we were happy with the stay - clean, quiet, comfortable room, good food at the pizzeria, location. Also thankful there is a free shuttle to the airport. However, my only complaint is that the shuttle dropped us off at arrivals rather than departures which caused us to have to walk with a lot of heavy luggage way way further than we should have had to. […] It also caused stress because of the extra time it took to find the correct check-in area. We just finished up our trip to Switzerland and got to the hotel via train and the airport. It was so convenient to just grab the shutte to and from the airport. The hotel had a selection of 3 places to eat which was great because we were tired and did not have to travel outside the hotel to eat. We stayed one night right before returning to the US from our European vacation. The hotel is located in a quite neighborhood about 5 minutes from the airport and has a free shuttle service located in the airport's hotel bus area Zone 3. Although the shuttle also serves several other hotels, Fly Away is closest, so is first on/off which is nice. A restaurant is located in the lobby, but we had to leave very early for the airport and did not eat there. The hotel is in a great location, just one block from the S7 station. The free shuttle was perfect and so convenient, and the staff was very kind. The only downside is the free wifi. It worked great but every time I used my phone or computer I had to re-enter the username and password, and then get a new one after it expired in 24 hours.

Free airport shuttle was great. Staff pleasant. Internet S.l.o.w. old technology, not automatic wireless. Paper slips with codes went out with the Ark. Please upgrade your Internet offering. Railway Station cafe (100 metres up the road ) good cheap breakfast choice.

We had an early morning flight out of Zurich after a ski vacation in St Anton. The hotel fit the bill, efficient, free shutttle and as reasonable as it gets in Switzerland. We would stay here again. The pizza restaurant was decent, service was good.

This was our first time at a Hotel Flyaway. airport transportation included was efficient. Check in staff person was fast and efficient with checking in all customers as the shuttle arrived. Good location close to airport and regular free bus service. Short walk to train station to get to Zurich main station and city. Very friendly and helpful check in staff. Room was small and so was the bed, but that's probably because we didn't check on the booking. No extra pillows in the cupboard, so if you like more than one small one, it could be […] a problem, but to be fair, I didn't ask for an extra one, which could have been readily available. You can pick up a hot water jug from the front desk, a real bonus if you like a cup of tea first thing in the morning. Breakfast was simple but very nice and adequate. We chose this place for the price and because it had a free shuttle to the airport. The shuttle was right on time and took us straight to the airport - about a 10 minute drive.

Overall, it was very nice stay. Pizza restaurant was fantastic and very busy during lunch. Major complaint was that I had business meetings in the morning and the staff were extremely rude and inconsiderate. They were vacuuming right next to us, talking very loudly, etc.. Shuttle from and to airport takes 15 minutes. Train to center of city takes 15 minutes. Ideal location, quiet, pleasant, simple but convenient, especially for short stays.

My only negative is the no A/C, which is common in europe. They did give me a fan which made a huge difference. They do have free wifi which almost doesn't exist in Europe. Hotel shuttle worked well. Pizzeria is good.

Hotel is placed in a convenient place. The public transpsort is very convient to go to Zurich and surrounding areas. The hotel is reasonably clean and have friendly staff.
