When I arrived there were only smokers rooms available which was a dissapointment. Very nice staff otherwise. OK breakfast

Klockrent hotell. Fantastisk utsikt. Trafiken inte ett dugg störande. Städning bra. Leisure klubben väldigt bra. Resturangen superbra!. Bra service. Trevlig personal. Läget riktigt bra, ca 8-10min promenad över tynebridge till centrum. Kommer tillbaka.

Was pleasantly surprised, modern hotel, well kept, nice staff overall. Good location. Health spa and pool was great to use. Would stay again. Small let down, mens' changing room was not well kept in the spa.

Stayed at the Hilton for a weekend in March. Room was comfortable and had everything you need. Hotel bar is like any other - a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Breakfast was great, staff were all switched on and turned the tables round quickly. Used the gym for the first time, was well equipped with all modern equipment. Dowwnside was that Hotels.com […] hadn't forwarded Hilton Honours details so we didn't get one of the better rooms overlooking the Tyne. Läs mer

We stayed in a river view room and it was spectacular! Hotel was immaculate and the leisure centre was very relaxing and clean. Would definatley return to this hotel and will definatley recommend it.

Very sorry to say but had a bad stay at the Hilton gateshead. As me and my partner was very dissapointed in the room. And to top it of our room had not been cleaned on our second day there. Very dissapointed to say the least. We had to sleep one more night without room bein cleaned. And with no tea or coffee or milk.

Very clean hotel ,friendly and helpful staff.Stayed for a concert at The Sage which was a few minutes walk away.You can walk into city centre in about 10 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. Didnt use any of the facilities so cant comment.Has a lovely view from bar

Stayed here several times now and to be honest it's hard to beat all things considered. Hotel staff all very friendly from the cleaners to the bar staff to the reception staff. Can't be faulted. Bar food good; breakfast equally good. Rooms spacious and very comfy. We checked in late one night and were given a room with walk in shower only rather than […] a bath, which was very disappointing-but to be fair our room was changed promptly and without fuss next day!! Myself and partner spent the weekend here whilst visiting family nearby. At the time of booking the hotel was in the "January Sale" and so was around £100 cheaper than usual over the three weekend nights we stayed. The hotel itself was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The view over […] the River Tyne was great and the hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the main shopping centre and numerous pubs & restaurants. As already mentioned by other reviewers, the on-site carpark charges £9 overnight however the nearby Dean Street carpark is free after 5pm in the evenings and only £2 to park all day on a Sunday. We parked here for the majority of the stay and walked the short distance back to hotel. Overall a very nice stay and would happily book here again. Läs mer

This Hilton is very impressive when you first arrive. However, when we checked in and out there was only one person at reception and we had to wait a very long time to be dealt with. We had asked for 2 rooms because we came with our 3 children but they were not near each other. The hotel pool is small and had lots of empty cups around the poolside. […] The doors to the changing rooms have mildew on them! In both our rooms we could not adjust the air-conditioning and we ended up sleeping at a temperature of 22.5 degrees which was too hot. The food was very good though. Fabtastic hotel, a great get-away. Fantastic for a romantic night out. Food was beautiful.

Good location with great transport links to City Centre. Disappointed by the room service trays which lined the hallway for at least 8 hours. Pool is also a lot smaller than it looks in the photo and is not really 'spa' like. When having spa treatments it is also strange to walk straight out of the room into the gym or pool are, not v private. Staff […] were v good. A bit more like a travelodge. I'm from the North East but live down south. I frequently visit Newcastle and stay in various hotels - depending on what's available at the time. This hotel is relatively new and the rooms reflect it. The reception is excellent - very clean and modern and the staff very polite. Check out was 12, most others its 11. For what I paid for the room it was […] way ahead of any of the other hotels which are generally older and more run down. Pitty the Quayside isn't what it used to be, because it would be even better. Lovely hotel breckfast was cold tho apart from that a fantastic stay!!!

Great location, amazing entrance and room had Massive window looking out at the bridge the view Was perfect. Room was very clean and spacious Careful not to help your self to drinks and snacks in the Fridge before checking the price list as a can of coke is £2.50 and water is £3.95 setting was very romantic but On this occasion we went for the nightlife […] so didn't appreciate it as much but we will defiantly be coming back again for a romantic night away! The hotel is just a 5 minute walk away from the city centre where you can find everything you need. The hotel has an inside pool-area, which is a bit small. In the hotel you can also find different spa treatments, like waxing and massages to affordable prices. The rooms are great and clean, but the bathroom does not have a toilet brush (which can be […] a bit embarrassing). There is no DVD-player in the room, and you have to pay 14 pound to use the internet (even wi-fi) for 24 hours. The breakfast is great, among other things they have: white/brown bread, scrambled eggs, different meat, jam, nutella++, croissants, muffins, different types of corn flakes, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee, juice++ The staff is helpful. This hotel was clean and well presented, however the location is across Tyne from all of the city centre action and the price reflects this. The staff were on the most part, friendly but not on the ball. Drinks took a long time to reorder, coffee refills never arrived and there wasn't a great detail of professionalism except from the reception staff. stayed in the excutive room, wouldve liked a tyne view - instead got a car park.this was made up for by the executive lounge which has fab city views and good nibbles. we stay every year for our anniversary, no porblems so far. will def return

Stayed here for 1 night good location for shops although could hear clubs and pubs until the early hours, thought staff on arrival weren't welcoming no introduction about your stay orientation of facilities etc. Extra £9 to pay for overnight parking although rooms were clean marked carpets and shabby looking decor, certainly wouldn't rate this as a […] *5 star hotel more like 3 * , food good have stayed in better hotels Läs mer

Comfortable Hotel on the Banks of the Tyne. Top tip: Get the "City View" upgrade at the desk for a modest price increase. Gives you a fantastic view of the Tyne Bridge.

Good location with large car park in hotel complex; typical Hilton style; I had room with not much of a view but not too problematic as I didn't really want to spend night looking out over Newcastle. Good breakfast

We stayed here for one night and upon checking in were upgraded to an executive room which gave us free lounge access/drinks etc which was a bonus. Location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding do at the Baltic. Room was comfortable, modern and clean. Staff on reception very friendly and parking reasonable at £9 overnight. Hotel and staff were great food also good.Short bus ride to city centre would stay there again as we go to Newcastle every year for a few days.

Just back from one night stay on Saturday 20th Aug in Hilton Newcastle. Had phoned during previous week to see if we could check in early, and indeed when we arrived at 8.30a.m. we were delighted to learn the room was ready for us! Room itself was lovely, as was the rest of the hotel, and service throughout was second to none. We had booked the deal […] with buffet breakfast, and decided to pay £4 extra for room service. Worth every penny and highly recommended- food was delicious and attention to detail was excellent. Visited the spa facilities after that, and if I had to make one very small complaint, the cleanliness of the showers weren't up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Completed the stay with cocktails on the sunny terrace, overlooking the city..... perfect end to a perfect stay. Thank you Hilton Gateshead, we'll definately be back! Läs mer

this was a nice hotel in a nice location,but we were unhappy when there was water coming through the roof after along day out.went to reception who got maintenence up right away to fix it and i got told it would take a couple of hours to fix so i asked to move rooms and got told there was no spare rooms in the hotel so we had no option but vacate the […] room for several hours to come back and find no maintenence man and towels everywhere hatches in the roof left open so had to go to reception again to be told maintenence would return in the morning.i understand things go wrong with rooms but why was there not spare rooms incase people need to swap rooms? Perfect location for a stay in Newcastle. Clean, modern and well equipped

Comfortable hotel with good location and convenient parking (although payable at £9 per day). Fine buffet breakfast, but disappointed that we couldnt have a late night (12 midnight) whisky from the bar stocked with a fine selection of malts because it was closed ! Such a fine view wasted for the best part of the evening !

Staff very welcoming. Good introduction to facilities at hotel, pool, gym etc. Breakfast offered a wide choice and the restaurant has some lovely views. A room with a view over the Tyne is great, especially at night when the bridges are lit up.

Good overall standard nothing spectacular but about what you'd expect from a Large brand hotel. Couldn't be faulted in any particular way.

Very good hotel. Good location for exploring Newcastle on foot. Have to pay £9 per day to park car! Easy to access hotel by car, but rather more difficult to leave the area due to road works and road lay-out. Can pay more for riverside room. Good breakfasts. All staff excellent.

After having some dubious stays at other "chains" it was a breath of fresh air to stay at a Hilton hotel that ticked every box. Do not hesitate to book this hotel especially if it is on offer.

My husband and I got a late deal via hotels.com and expected to get a fairly standard room without much of a view. But we were upgraded upon arrival to a room overlooking the Tyne - magical! The room itself was clean, funkily decorated and comfortable, with plenty of room for the two of us and our bags. The staff were also very pleasant and friendly […] throughout. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Newcastle - just across the river (on the Gateshead side) from the city centre, and right next to the Sage and the Baltic. This made getting out and about, even late and night, very easy, as we could pretty much walk everywhere. We had a lovely stay in the Hilton, the hotel is beautifully located by the iconic Tyne Bridge with an amazing view as you enter the foyer which is so light and is beautifully designed.You can enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony as well as in the restaurant. Beautiful new hotel at the side of the Tyne and overlooking Newcastle. Excellent location for the Sage and the Baltic.

Excellent hotel wonderful location, health suit very clean excellent food and hospitality. It was our second stay at this hotel and will definately be returning again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Super stay at a reasonable price. Room comfortable wth air con, needed on a hot day in July. We enjoyed lovely cocktails in the bar with fab views of the Tyne before setting off for a night on the town. Breakfast the next morning was busy, but staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed two weekend nights. Hotel in perfect location for sight seeing. Short walk too bus station & city centre n train station. Nice views over Tyne river n bridges. Good selection for breakfast n friendly staff. Would recommend going too the bemish outdoor museum about 30drive from hotel or on the 28a bus.
