Hotell Hotel Fira Congress - Barcelona

Spent 2 nights here for the rammstein concert. We called the hotel from the airport and the shuttle picked us up within 10 min! Clean and futuristic room with an interesting layout. Huge bathroom and bedroom. Never seen a cooler room! Not what we expected but new and fun! The breakfast is 12 € and totally worth it! They had pretty much everything […] you wanted! Clean and fresh and super friendly staff. Located in the conference district they're not many shops and such around but the buses and metro is just across the street. It was a 25 min walk from Palau sant jordi where the concert was held and you can easily walk all the way to Barceloneta beach if you're up for a walk. Walk over he mountain and have an epic view of Barcelona. Calm and secure area when we walked back around midnight. Got a wakeupcall and shuttle to the airport right on time. Bra hotell detta! Ligger en bit i från centrum, men tåg, busd och tunnelbane föebindelser är bra. Tar ca 40 min och ta sig från hotell till centrala barcelona. Rummen i hotellet var bra! Dock två saker jag inte var nöjd med. Dubbelsängen som var två enkelsängar på hjul! Detta var en upplevelse, vaknade av att jag föll imellan sängarna ett par ggr under […] vistelsen. Allt var hur bra som helst under våran vistelse på hotellet! Tog bara fem minutar att gå till ett köpcentrum där det fanns flera resturanger samt snabbmatskedjor. Tog tid dock att komma till stan först skulle man ta buss ett par hållplatser sedan skulle man ta tåget osv. men det var billigt att åka taxi ca 10 euro till stan. Om man är där en kort vistelse. Vi hade i början problem med luftkonditioneringen som inte fungerade på rummet så att vi fick byta rum. Efter bytet fungerade inte luftkonditioneringen heller i det nya rummet trots att vi gjorde enligt instruktionerna. Efter att vi sa till ytterligare en gång så började luftkonditioneringen att fungera. Liten besvikelse i början. Anser också att frukostpriset […] är för högt. The beds in this room were terrible. They were single beds pushed together (and called a queen), and were very light so that they literally slid around the floor when you sat on the or tried to get into them. The switches and electrical/ac controls were also hard to understand and use.

Clean rooms with cool lighting, hydroshower is very good, location is good as there is a shopping centre very local with many resturants, close to airport (10mins) and transport links. We did not use the spa, however next time we will! Price is very good! Overall 4/5 :)

I stayed here for two nights and loved it! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the view was great. It's a little ways from the city center, so a taxi anywhere is a little steep (to the Sagrada Familia or the waterfront was about €20), but they do offer a limited shuttle that can be booked a day beforehand. The hotel is well located near the FIRA, but please find out which FIRA! We were faraway from the place we were actually going to attend. I don't know the availability of names but i think all the convention centers are called FIRA something. Anyhow, the hotel was clean but the mattresses are hard and the pillows kind of "deformed" because they were […] ready to be replaced in the 70's. If you are planning to stay strictly for business, go for it, but if you plan to do a bit of sightseeing don't, because although the public transportation is very good, you will find it is a ghost town after 9:00 pm. Hotel is a great find! Hotel offers free shuttles to the airport and from the airport, as well as to and from the city centre. A very pleasant hotel, about 30mins on the tube into the centre of town. Ideal for my business trip, might not be the best for people wanting a central base. Little point of note, they do free airport pick up and drop off, which is a nice touch.

Hotel was accommodating to us in that we had gotten off a cruise at 7am and was able to get us a room right away. The language barrier was often an issue. The beds were not comfy at all. The only real problem is you get 1 room key and the power in the room only works when the key is in a slot inside the room. So, after you've been out all the day the halls are about 100 F and it takes forever to cool the room. Fira Congress is decent hotel w/ friendly staff, clean room, nice spa and most importanly very convient location close by Fira Train Station and close by mall. Only complain is restraunt food which doesn't have many menu options and bit over-priced.

The airport is about 15 minutes away by shuttle bus. Airport hotels are normally fairly nondescript but I actually enjoyed my stay here. The room was excellent and so too was the hotel in general. I would definitely return.

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Liked spending time in the bar of an evening, very relaxing. Room is slightly unusual, but functions very well. We did read about problems with the A/C, but we had no issue it is just a bit slow to get going and only works when room key is in slot. It is only 5 mins from the metro which you can to Just about any where in the city within 45 mins which is better than car. Spa treatments a little steep too. While this hotel does offer a shuttle service to the center of the city and the airport, you need to reserve a space well in advance. When we arrived, we were told that there weren't any seats available on any of the shuttles for that day (our only day in Barcelona). Biggest issue with us was with airport pickup... we waited almost 3 hours at the airport until driver showed up. That was unacceptable. Rated a 4-star hotel but maybe not quite what a UK 4-star hotel might be. That said it was still very nice, clean, efficient and the room was well laid out and comfortable. Also has a spa with gym, jacuzzi, steam room and hot beds - very nice after a hard day running round Barcelona's sights! Or the Metro station near Gran Via 2 is a short walk away - Europa/Fira on pink line L8 is only 3 stops from Plaza Espana, and only €2 per person (1 zone). Have to pay for ice! Have to go to the bar to get it. Downtown shuttle only two times a day, and fills up quickly. Have to reserve too far ahead. Room lighting system too complicated. Control panel not lighted. Cannot find it in the dark. Had to sleep with some lights on. Not enough soap and toiletries, you have to ask for more. TV wouldn't work. Desk […] sent a guy with batteries who told me I wasn't doing it right. You got to put the remote up close to the TV to turn it on. Defeats the purpose of a remote doesn't it? The hotel staff was very nice. The room was clean and modern. I loved it. The only problem is that the hotel is in an industrial area, and it seems far removed. Once you learn the bus and metro system this becomes only a slight inconvenience.

In my opinion the reception service was poor on the check-in. Any information about the area, maps and schedules. For a 4 star hotel need a much better check-in for the leisure market. Very good service of the shuttle. Very good SPA.

Booked hotel as overnight stay close to airport. First the satnav could not find the location of hotel we drove round in circles as there was no street name on printout. Eventually 1 - 2 hours later we found it but no parking spaces as conferrence on. The room at first impression did look 4 star once I worked out the lights but no gown and slippers […] as promised. Spa unattended and confusing to use. Not many places to eat nearby so asked receptionist and she pointed us towards metro for BARCELONA. 9.25 euro bought a 10 ride ticket which was transferable. Hated Barcelona to many people and noisey would have loved a nice little restaurant on our last night went to Plaza Espania which was not as busy but just high priced Tapas Bars. Terrible nights sleep as the bed was rock hard one long pillow each. Fridge only had 2 bottled waters not as stated.
