Våra sex rum låg dels i huvudbyggnad och dels i annex som låg 150 m bort. Detta framgick inte av presentationen vid beställning. I vårt rum var belysningen inte bra. Läslamporna hade mörka skärmar och det var omöjligt att ligga i sängen och läsa. Allmänbelysningen bestod av två väggfasta lampor som ej gav ljus vid sängen.

Helt ok. Förhållandevis billigt. Frukosten var inte jättebra, men den fyllde sitt syfte. Bra gångavstånd till centrum.

Located within walking distance to great dining, shopping and sights. The bilingual staff were very helpful with restaurant reservations and local recommendations. There spa was located in a building about 3 blocks away and they charged 20 euro per person that I later realized apon checkout. We stayed in the 'Cavour' appartment belonging to the Hotel Mastino which is about 500m from the hotel, this urned out to be a pleasant surprise as we had more freedom to do as we please. The appartment was very basic but very comfortable and we had all we needed. I would definitely use the appartments again and highly recommend it to anyone. We were […] very close to the Corso Porta Brosari and in particular the Caffe Rialto which is well worth a try, their Tiramisu is to die for and their staff are very helpful especially when you can't really understand the menu. Excellent central location, but no parking. At the room price ought to include coffee/tea making facilities. Not sure if the small bar was being used or not. Staff friendly and helpful. Linen changed daily.

The hotel is like a new one cause they renovated the rooms. The only black cloud was the A/C. I don't think they upgraded it so it was very old and didn't work well. Except that it is a very great place , and the location in Verona is perfect , no need to use the car.

Stay was nice as always. Only really bad is the parking - parking garage which is rather expensive per day 18,00€. But service is nice and the stuff very friendly and helpful! Will return 100% :)

The only downside of the hotel is the noise level at night. Since it is located very close to the Arena, you can hear almost the whole conversation of people walking by.

We would stay here again & again & again. Well located, extremely nice hotel, breakfast was "over the moon"; omlets, potatoes, bacon, ham, crossiants, a huge array of desserts, lots of expresso, capacino and fruit! Having read several conflicting reviews we arrived unsure of what to expect. I had booked a 1 bedroom apartment and was surprised to find we were ushered into a little electric car and driven, what seemed like quite a distance, to our apartment. The apartment turned out to be on a side street in the historic centre of Verona only a stone's throw from […] all the major sights. The apartment was called Guiletta & Romeo (of course) and was warm, clean and very spacious with a iron posted cream bed, a very large sofa bed for the children, and spacious and well equipped bathroom and a small kitchenette within a cupboard. We were extremely satisfied with the room for the price we had paid. Barely any traffic passed our door, the windows and doors are were double glazed and had shutters - we passed several very peaceful nights. The apartment was so close to everything and it felt as though you were part of the city instead of a tourist. I would definitely recommend the Hotel and would definitely stay in the same apartment again. Läs mer

Location, location location...under a good rate that what Hotel Mastino is about. I just spent 4 nights in Verona and it was a pleasant place. Mastino is close to the Roman Coliseum and to the old city. It is also a quick 15 minutes walk close to Puorta Nuova train station. Perfectly sited , just 3 minutes walk to the Arena, 10 minutes from the railway station and buses to Garda, Brescia and Mantua stopping almost opposite. Reception staff very friendly and helpfull and the room was fine. Huge bed, pillowcases changed daily and the best quality towels I've known in a hotel. This is a so-so hotel, except that the location is fantastic. I doubt one could do much better in this area of Verona's historic center for any less money. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Nobody goes to these places to stay in the hotel anyway, and it was clean and safe enough. We can walk long distances so although this apartment in annex was not as close to Roman arena as many would like it is quite comfortable and right along the river. Has a mini kitchen in the apartment which suited our needs but the space would be too tight for 4 adults for more then one night. When you book certain rooms, they don't tell you they are in another building across the street and over a block in what looks like an office building. I stayed here 1 night alone. They gave me a massive double room in an annexe accross the road. It was clean, decor a bit tired and balcony looked onto another balcony. Several good tv channels. Paid for a superior rated room for one night, but got what you could only say was an ordinary dimly lit back room . Breakfast however was a quality item. The hotel is in a convienent location for the arena and the rest of town hotspots. You do forget to check - overlook that this hotel is located next to a McDonalds and that may be off putting. However, […] the McDonalds had no crowds, no noise and no cooking odours which may have caused nuisance to the stay. Lesson maybe that people want to eat Italian and native rather than commercial and a happy meal. Reception spoke good english and offered a free map of the town. They appear to be able to answer any question raised. Able to leave baggage in a unsecured room in basement for acoupe of hours at no charge before we caught our train to Venice. The staff didn't go out of their way to be helpful. Didn't offer information. Laundry services were useful but very expensive, no wifii anywhere in the hotel which was advertised as being available in room,we had to pay for an Internet cafe around the corner.

Hotel could not have been better located but room does need a little TLC and the bar off reception must be one of the poorest stocked anywhere - didn't even have tonic to go with the gin!! Breakfast had a broad continental choice and there was a small hot selection also.

Our stay in Verona was short (only one night), so the central location was great. It's a short taxi ride from the main train station (a bit too long to walk, especially in the midday heat of summer). We didn't put many of the hotel services to the test, but the staff at the front desk on check-in and check-out was very efficient. Upon checking in, we were surprised to be escorted across a busy street and to have to use the swipe card for entry no less than three times to access our room in an annex off another side street. We queried this but were told the hotel is an association of hotels and that unless you specify main building you are likely to end up in an annex (but the […] website doesn't make this clear). The location is still superb anyway (minutes from Piazza Bra and Arena) but if there's something wrong with your room it makes it more hassle to sort out. In our case, the air con didn't really work (temps were in the mid/high 30s, so we really needed it to work) and because doing so much else we didn't really follow it up hard enough. Once you've unpacked, you want to get out and see the sights, go to the opera, not follow up a nagging suspicion that the air con isn't up to the job. But that's why I've given it only an overall 2 because it was too hot to sleep even with air con on full blast and keeping the blinds down all day. The guy on the desk said that main building rooms were smaller than annex rooms so I don't know if everybody would prefer them, but if you want to use the wifi (we did) it's inconvenient to have to cart equipment across a busy road to get the signal. 1. They placet us in a "dependance" of the hotel which was in a residential building without any prior notice. 2. The AC of the room was broken and the receptionist was insisting on calling maintenance to fix it instead of offering us another room. The problem was it was 40 degrees outside an in the room. She was quite arrogant overall.

Hotel is in good condition and only a short walk from Verona's historic centre. Bathroom had a few scratches but nothing particularly bad. It is a good 3 star but nothing more. Paid a slighly high price for the "superior" room but I think that is more to do with hotel prices in general in Verona and the opera season at the city's historic Arena. Best thing about the hotel is the great location,and the fantastic breakfast,staff very helpful and can speak good English,our room was at the front over Mcdonalds so was noisey at night with the traffic etc,room was small with little storage for clothes, no drawers to put smalls in and bits etc ,the bathroom was modern and very clean but the shower […] was so small you could not turn round once in so no good if you are a large size! the hotel was very nice, convenient to all sites and in a good area. Great breakfast spread. My only two minor complaints are common to most of my hotel/b&b stays in Italy. One is that the bed and pillow were pretty hard and two is that you had to be in the lobby to access wifi. Overall, very minor complaints and a very good stay.

This hotel is in an excellent position close to Piazza Bra, very clean and the breakfast was excellent but I was disappointed as one of the reasons I booked the hotel was that it had a spa. This hotel does not have a spa you can book treatments there but the spa is at The Marco Polo in another street. It costs 10 Euros to use the jacuzzi at other spa […] hotels I have been to the use of the Jacuzzi and steam rooms are free to hotel guests. In the information it also says it has a large lounge and bar area it has some seating in reception and a very small bar area with two small tables. The description of the hotel is deceiving.
