Hotellet har stora rum och rummen var tysta. Sängen på mitt rum var lite mjukare än vad som är vanligt vilket jag uppskattar. Det finns de vanliga finesserna som är brukliga på amerikanska hotell. Luftkonditioneringen var av den fönster´monterade typen dock var det en tystgående modell. Hotellet ligger vägg i vägg med en Chilis men i övrigt måste man vara bilburen för att komma någon vart. Det regnade och var dåligt väder så jag uppfattade omgivningarna som utomordentligt tråkiga - Jag provade tyvärr inte gymmet men det finns ett sådant. Frukosten var helt OK men inga svenska specialiteter.

Hotellet ligger centralt - Tyvärr bodde jag bara en natt så jag han inte själva kolla vilka affärer, restauranger som ligger nära. Rummet var rent och möblerna relativt moderna alla bekvämligheter som man förväntar sig av ett amerikanskt Hotellrum fanns där. Nackdelen med rummen är att ljudisoleringen är dålig mellan gata och rum och mellan rum till rum. Jag stördes av grannar och var tvungen att knacka lite diskret åt ljudet utifrån fanns inget att göra. När jag besökte Hotellet var utomhussimbassängen stängd pga arbete. På gymmet var det lite trångt Hotellet har många rum - Köbildning uppstod. Min favoritmaskin cykeln där man sitter var trasig men gick att använda - Handtagen var borta och kalorimätare gav bara cirka 1/3 av kalorierna. frukostmatsalen är stor och luftig och det är fin utsikt över angränsande skyskrapor. Amerikansk stil och ingen typisk svensk frukostmat. Jag tog blåbär färska sådana mjölk och raisin brans. Gott!

one of the best hotels i ever been to. The service of the portiers was awesome, the room was great, we rented a suit and the room was huge, dubble tv etc.. just awesome.. only downside is that u either have a car or take a cab to a train station to get into philly. but thats only 1 downside. Lots of stores near the hotel

"Good location"
This is a trip for my college visiting. The hotel located on the Temple University campus. Just by 5 mins walk you can get to the train station which can bring you to many locations in Philadelphia including the PHL airport.Verifierad gästrecension
"Can't wait until next year"
I loved it, it was oddly on a college campus, allowed dogs (I have a 55lb Aussie) and next to the metro, I felt safe walking my dog by myself where at my apartment which i don't, the room was set up amazing. Will stay again!Verifierad gästrecension

"Extra good if you are taking your dog"
It was a lovely hotel. We booked two rooms, and the person who checked us in switched them by accident, but we rectified that ourselves (single vs. double with a small dog). It was very safe with tons of police patrolling, and cheap, fast college-town restaurants. If you wanted a lovely sit-down dinner, there was nothing within walking distance, but […] the theatre and supermarket were close by and you could catch the subway 2 blocks away to the Reading Terminal and Convention Center. "Get the old address!"
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Conwell. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in (I actually was able to sleep, without building a futon out of bedspreads). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Continental breakfast was a bit scant, but adequate (it was Continental after all). The hotel is next door to the campus police […] station, so security was not an issue, at least on campus, and there is a 7-11 next door to the hotel, as well. There were only two things I could say that are negative: 1) the WiFi was very poor (and the building made phone service and air-card service problematic as well); 2) they really should publish the "old" address (1331 West Berks Ave.), without which, my GPS (TomTom) took me into some very sketchy neighborhoods, and an hour out of the way (with the Berks address, went right to it. "Change the Sheet Please!"
I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. The floor needed vacuuming and the beds had not been changed. The beds were made up as if they were, but when you pulled back the covers, there were hairs and specks of dirt on the sheets, and appeared slept on. "Hidden jewel"
We really liked this little hotel. It is on the campus of Temple University and is very close to the SEPTA subway system. The hotel and surrounding areas felt very safe for walking no matter what time of day or night. There is a great little strip of carry out restaurants close by with outdoor seating, and nearby street food trucks for those who like […] a little culinary adventure! (We did!) The hotel front desk was very helpful with advice and directions, and we had no problems with our stay. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to see Philly. We would happily stay there on our next trip. In the lobby, there were always fresh cookies and apples for the taking. After having had a first little doubt about the area, where the hotel is located, we have been completely satisfied about the nice buildings at atmosphere in the court of the hotel, which is located within the Temple University. "Perfect locale when moving a student in or out!"
The staff was friendly and helpful, in person as well as over the phone. The complimentary breakfast certainly wasn't fancy, but met my needs nicely. It was an easy drive into other areas of the city. I had a little trouble connecting to the free internet service from my room, but ultimately was able to use my computer after a few attempts! "Next to Temple University and Historic Philly"
I highly suggest visiting their website beforehand to receive directions to the hotel. The address listed does not show up on GoogleMaps or GPS. The hotel is located on Temple University and it is next door to campus security. Upon checking in, the hotel staff member was incredibly helpful with providing public transit maps and suggestions on food/restaurants. […] The room was blasting A/C when entering, which I love! "Fun in a college town"
If you don't like being around college students, this place is not for you...other than that, very nice, quaint, and perfect for a weekend stay. The Conwell Inn is a must-stay hotel if you are visiting Temple University as it is located right in the university. It also is located very near access to the user friendly subway system for travel to the rest of Philadelphia. "Lost in North Philly"

This Inn was even better than we were expecting. Obviously, they have improved since some of the negative reviews I had read. By phone and in person EVERY employee was just super. The entire place is immaculate and the room was beautiful. The bed and pillows were too hard for me but that is a personnal thing. My husband thought they were fine. A very small yet very comfortable Hotel, on Temple University Campus. We stayed in a clean and suprisingly large room. A subway ride/cab ride from the convention center but we were not looking to stay in center city. Breakfast was a bit sparse but there is a cafe next door. I was very happy! Extras all cost money though. That means cots (even if you reserve for 4 in a single room, cots are still more $$), a fridge ($10/night), parking ($18/night), etc. All extra. Very nice hotel, however very hard to find. I feel you need a bigger sign on Broad St. While I was checking in the clerk had 2 calls for directions off of Broad St. I was very glad you had security right under the hotel and I will stay at The Conwell again. "Great choice in Philly"
This was my second time staying at the Conwell Inn and the room I got was huge, had very friendly staff who were willing to help out with every need and I was even engaged in conversation by one of them one my back to my room to a 20 minute conversation. Nice hotel, good value, nice small breakast included and right next door to nice coffee shop BUT DO NOT stay in rooms on the alley side. I was awakended 2 nights in a row at 4am for an hour with garbage trucks and dumpster banging. Front Desk knew it was a problem with I complained. I packed up and was ready to leave 2 nights early to get sleep but […] they moved me to a new room on front of hotel.
