We had to pay for our parking which cost any extra $80 for the 3 days which was very disappointing because we didn't get this information before we left. We found the Hotel very lovely and expensive so the extra cost with the parking was not necessary. Great hotel. Went at Easter time - so was busy with school kids. But aside from that, the pool, spa and sauna were great... Room was comfortable (we had a kitchenette) and the balcony was great to relax on. Pretty good to stay at and super close to the beach & Jetty Rd shops. The hotel was excellent as stated above. The only thing that we were disappointed with was the parking arrangements. The car park was a public car park and we paid $20 per day to the hotel instead of puting $18 into the machine every day and as it was a long week end the car park was full at times and had difficulty find a space to park . The worst part of this hotel was the lack of service at reception, slow, made to wait while they attended to other things. Not a great way to treat guests!!!!!!!! Staff did not have a good understanding of English.

We stayed in a ocean view room 610. The apartment was modern and we ate out most days but walked to Coles often to stock fridge with breakfast items. Oven washer dryer all handy. Brought a metro card and caught the tram into the city every day.definitely recomend hotel and would stay here again. The room was certainly cleaner than a couple of stays about 5 yrs ago, pillows were the only complaint in the bedroom and the island bench in the kitchen was moving but apart from that the room was very clean and furnishings in good condition.

Not a bad apartment which was clean and had everything that you need. Service at the front reception was ok - understaffed given that the hotel was fully booked and not exactly friendly or highly motivated to help. Be sure to specify in your booking for a quiet room on a higher floor as on Friday / Saturday night the noise of drunken idiots entering […] / leaving the hotel bar is raucous right through till around 2am for any of the rooms facing away from the beach (maybe request a room closer to the glenelg mall end of the resort rather than towards the marina end). To be honest I wouldn't stay here again because of this and do feel that the Oaks should do more to control the noise levels for the sake of guests on weekends. Läs mer

We stayed in the one bedroom ocean view apartment, was spacious, comfortable and had a fantastic view. The hotel is right on the beach and within walking distance to everything we needed. I will definitely be staying here again.

There was no warning that the nightclub directly below us would be going until the small hours of Saturday and Sunday morning. It was not very relaxing at all or romantic to have 80s music blaring all night!

This should be a great hotel given its location on the beach. Indifferent staff, no wifi, no morning papers & very uncomfortable bed. Country motels are better (and much cheaper)than this place. I feels like it is being run by cost cutting accountants and not people with experience in the accomodation industry.

The bed was uncomfortable as although king sized, it was made up of 2 single beds joined together. The 2 bedroom apartment was smaller than expected, compared to Oaks Liberty, small galley kitchen and only 1 bathroom. We didn't get room service the 2 nights we stayed there! The hotel was well positioned and very comfortable. Ocean view was stunning. Kids liked the lap pool, spa and plunge pool. Treadmill in gym was broken. No literature in the room regarding local amenities, recommended places to eat etc. Supermarkets in Adelaide close very early!!!! KIds liked the Beachhouse which was next door. Really enjoyed the experience. Good views, good location. Room was clean, well serviced, well provided, one keycard was dodgy, issue with a toaster quickly and expediently handled. One thing that could be improved was the information provided on the hotel services and local opportunities. Just a photocopied page handed to you with the receipt. The hotel is a great location right on the water with the rooms large and a good size lounge. The added plus is that the rooms have balconies that face the water or back towards the city. Prices are reasonable and the rooms being an apartment style are good in size.

The hotel is great ~ right on the beach, close to Jetty street (walking distance if it's not raining like it was when we were there!). A couple of annoyances ~ hotel check-in didn't direct us to elevator or explain that we had to use the room card key to use the elevator, where the pool was, nothing. There is a $17/day charge to park which is ridiculous […] since it's in the hotel's garage, not public parking. The top of the toilet tank was missing when we arrived, it was replaced on day two with duct tape holding it together and a note explaining that the new one hadn't arrived yet. The hotel didn't look that crowded so I'm not sure why they were using that room in the first place. Overall a great hotel and we'd definitely be back; the location is awesome. Läs mer

When we arrived staff where not very friendly. Morning staff much nicer and very helpful. The room was great, very clean, nice and roomy and a great view of the ocean. We had a wonderful time and would return again and again. A great place to stay in a beautiful location.

The room was really nice, the decor and presentation well thought out. My only problem was the pillows were flimsy and there were no tissues in the room. Unfortunately, a new reservation system was being implemented when we arrived, which made checking in difficult and the staff were stressed, but I don't think this would normally be the case. Anyone looking to park should use the parking lot next to the hotel rather than the one under the hotel to save money (we ended up paying almost half what the hotel quoted us). We had an absolutley fantastic time staying the weekend at the hotel. Only complaint was the charge for the babys portable cot. We have a portable cot of our own that we would have happily taken with us if we were informed that there would be price to pay to use the cot. Just thought that it was a bit over priced and considering the baby had to have […] somewhere to sleep we were not expecting to be charged. Great location, nice view and sunset from Sea view room. Handy to all amenities. Cable car close by to get to Adelaide centre. Great restaurants very close. Rooms well maintained and serviced each day. Enjoyed my stay and would return. Minor complaint - couch not very comfortable.

The hotel is in a good location. But the front desk staff was rushed and surly. We had an issue with the inroom internet service which did not work and we realized later (unfortunately our oversight) we were charged a fee for 24 hour internet on our bill. My recommendation is to make sure you get what you booked.

Overall happy with staying there. Only a couple of gripes. mainly with housekeeping. The main TV in lounge area had very poor reception on some channels and couldn't be tuned to improve the 'snow'. Housekeeping had not washed dishes left on the sink on a couple of days. The wash basin in the bathroom wasn't particularly well cleaned on one occasion […] and cushions and a blanket that had been used on the sofa were as we left them, not folded and placed back in position. Excited when I opened the door to to room and saw how close to the beach we were, and how bright and fresh the room was. Being able to close off the bedroom was an advantage, the kitchen was well equipped and the staff were more than helpfully when I disarranged the TV channels twice by using the wrong controller. The Oaks Pier Hotel is located in the wonderful beachside suburb og Glenelg. These units are well equipped from a simple studio room to a 2 bedroom apartment with ocean views. Within walking distance to the famous Jetty Road where everything you need is right there from clothes, bars, restaurants, musci stores, chemists. The kids are not forgotten […] with the Beach House right next door with all the water activities that the kids could want. If you want to relax simply relax and enjoy a drink on the balcony.
