We love staying at the Atrium. We are often in VB for work (and some play) and the Atrium is like being at home with everything we need. The staff is super friendly and willing to assist. We'll be back often!

The room/suite was beautiful and very clean. The only problem we had was the noise from the room next door and above us. I don't think the people were overly loud, I just think they skimped on insulation and any noise they made came through! It's too bad, because we really liked this hotel!

The Atrium was a decent place to stay for a long weekend. The bed was comfortable and the living area was spacious. It was a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk through a decent part of town. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I wouldn't stay there for a whole week for several reasons. First, the walls are paper thin and we were woken up at 5:45 […] on Saturday morning with the neighbor's tv. There were also crying babies right next door. The pool was small and right in the lobby so everyone can watch you swim. Three or 4 kids in the pool made it too crowded. The kitchen is also really REALLY small, with no oven. Overall it was a good place for a shorter trip. Next time we'll stay further down Atlantic Ave. near the beach and nicer shops. Läs mer

Overall it was an average stay. They did not provide an extra pack of coffee for the room when asked. I will probably stay somewhere else next time.

Very comfortable accomodations, can walk to beach and oceanfront attractions. Clean, practical but no frills. Heated pool was nice, clean. Friendly staff, helpful.

Everything was okay. The pool was a little small and you are only allowed to change your towels once a day which no one told us. And they placed our room right next to the garbage which smelt really bad. But they had games like pac man and they had washer and dryers. Very friendly & helpful staff; important to know that guests must maintain the room [vacuum provided] & exchange towels themselves when desired. Kitchenette has everything needed for cooking--even a blender! Hotel pool is indoor & small, but great for young ones. Noisy neighbors can be a problem, but the hotel staff was very willing to make the call […] to them for us. Only insurmountable problem may be that cooking odors can permeate your suite & take a long time to dissipate. This is the second time we have stayed at the Atrium. Our only complaint...it is not on the beach front! But we can live with the 3-5 minute walk to the ocean. I was absolutely impressed with this resort. The living room and kitchenette were perfect for our family. There is a stove, full-size fridge, microwave and small dishwasher. The king size bed was very comfortable and the 2 flat-screen TVs were very convenient to watch Curious George and the Olympics! Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Atrium. Only about two block walk to the beach. Very nice to have kitchen; we don't usually cook on vacation but we did end up cooking about a meal each day. Very crowded but it was a Saturday at the end of July. Staff was very professional and helpful. A good hotel for a beach vacation:)

Very nice room and staff. Well equiped kitchen. The first night of our stay we were awakened by a very loud verbal dispute taking place in the room next to us. Very ugly argument where they were using the "N" word and sexually explicict ghetto trash talk. I called the front desk to let them know of the disruption. After a few minutes the argument stopped. […] We fell back asleep for a few minutes and then all hello broke loose in our neighbors room. I called the front desk and told them I was getting ready to call the police. They sent a staff member up and he knocked on the door and told them of the complaint. After about 5 minutes of slamming doors and more arguing everything got quiet. I did call the a supervisor on duty the next morning and told her of our concerns about these neighbors and that we did not want to get disrupted in the middle of the night again. She said she would talk to them. While there were no more arguments, the group in the next room were using very profane ghetto language for the the rest of our 3 day stay. This created a very tense situation for us as we did not know if a viollent confrontation would break out. The walls are very thin and not sound proofed so you could hear everything. I feel they need to have security guards on site and not tolerate rude and disruptive guest. Läs mer

Great location, easy to find. Hotel is very "echoy" and there were parents who let their kids run the hallways til 1 am in the morning, Not the hotels' fault, but would've like quiet at that hour.

Great hotel. Only drawback is that housekeeping didnt come around every morning. I had to take my own linens to the wash area to get new ones. Friendly staff, great value. Just have to ask to have to to get your room cleaned during your stay i guess...

We had a 3 hour wait to check in and throughout the week the fire alarm would go off. The staff gave us no direction on what to do or told us the cause of the alarm sounding off randomly.

This is a great place to stay if you have an event at the convention center. It's close to the beach and the convention center. Loved that we had a full kitchen and could prepare meals. The convention center food is expensive.

I was in VB for an intensive week of continuing ed. I had space to study, separate space to sleep and the ability to cook a quick meal. The entire facility was very clean. The staff exceptionally nice and responsive.

Awesome place, most definitely will have to visit again and stay. Staff was so nice and courteous. Nice indoor pool and spa. Booked a adjoining one bedroom suite and loved everything in them. Very clean and comfortable. We were surprised it was so spacious (living room, kitchen, bedroom) and had full kitchen and all cooking utensils, etc. Very close to the oceanfront, perfect for walking because driving around the area is too hectic. This hotel was emaculate! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans etc. The hotel staff were very friendly and always greeted you with a smile. This hotel was only 2 blocks from the boardwalk-not even a 5 minute walk. They have complimentary washer/dryer also. The bed was a king size matress and was the most comfortable bed I have ever […] slept in! The parking was free and they even have a covered garage area that was very safe. The place looks newly renovated. The place was clean although the room we first got there was filthy I don't know if they do check the rooms before rented out or cleaning supervisor look at it??? The bed room light was out too! but they immediately switch us to another room. Other than that the place is great!

We have stayed in many of the hotels along the beach over the years and we were very pleased with the accommadations. The one bedroom suite was very clean, seemed to have been newly painted, new bathroom and well stocked kitchen area. We used the pool which maybe could use bigger poolside towels. Good Stay...however, my interaction with hotel staff was limited because I had everything I needed in my rental apt. That's a good thing I didn't want to have to because the apt has it all. Stores are near by and so is a large supermarket for your groceries (nice walk though.) I loved the fact that all rooms had an outside and inside window view and […] an area outside your room to relax, if you didn't want to stay in your apt or go outside as yet. Nite life was for the young except the comedy shows. If I needed anything extra like towels I knew to go and get them....if you are looking for hotel catering then go to a hotel. This apt style is right and spacious, love the separate LR/BR and the convenience of two TV's (separate kids and adult, no arguing). the kitchen FANTASTIC! Privacy was great., swimming pool in lobby was a little weird, hard to relax in lobby with that activity behind you. We stayed at the atrium resort for three nights the first week of August and we were very satisfied with the home like atmosphere of the rooms. The kitchen, the bedroom, the dining area, and the bathroom all are spacious and doesn't give you that claustrophobic sense of small hotel rooms. Our son enjoyed the two flat screen tvs. One each in the bed […] room and the dining area. It doesn't have a balcony but we didn't miss much. The staff by name Cecilia on the day shift and the lady on the night shift were very nice and courteous. We liked the hotel enough to extend our stay by one more day but unfortunately it was a friday and they were already booked for the weekend. We also want to thank the gentleman who is driving the courtesy van to the Cape Henry lighthouse. He is nice and professional. Läs mer

My girlfriends and I were looking for an affordable place to stay in VA beach for a weekend. I am always apprehensive about staying somewhere new, but we were so pleasantly surprised with the Atrium Resort. It's a short walk to the beach from the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful. The beds seemed new and were comfortable. There is a living area […] when you walk into your room w/ a sleeper sofa (very comfortable), table & flat screen tv. Then a small kitchen w/ large fridge, sink, and even a stove-top. There's a spacious bathroom, and then a bedroom w/ queen bed & flat screen tv that you can close the door to. My family & I really enjoyed our stay @ Atrium Resort being a block away from the beach was a plus :-). I have never stayed anywhere that was so clean they didnt clean your room daily but provided everything u needed to maintain your room& you could exchange your linens daily for clean ones, & provided free onsite laundry facilty,discounts for local […] attractions & activities. The only issue I had was when booking this resort on hotels.com it never mentioned that there is a required $100 security deposit upon checking into resort no acceptions. Since this is Atrium resort policy this information in my opinion should be provided upon booking this resort, My overall stay @ Atrium was wonderful & our boys loved it. This hotel was absolutely amazing! It was beautiful, and within walking distance of the beach. The pool is pretty small but honestly, who wants to go to the pool when the beach is so close? The only small complaint that I had was that the trash wasn't emptied daily-and this was only because my friends and I wanted to save money by bringing food for […] breakfast and lunch, so we had a LOT of trash from wrappers and things. We just stayed over the weekend. It wasnt to bad for the price. The staff didnt really care what people did. I have two small children and they fall asleep early. we checked in about 11pm and there were two older kids about 10-12yr olds running and screaming inside down the hall right past us. There were staff walking around and no one said anything […] to them. They also didnt control there parking very well. I use a double stroller for my kids and when we went outside to use the ramp out of the side of the building there was a truck parked there out whole stay infront of the ramp overtop the handicapped cross walk. Over all it was ok for the stay, a few things wrong with the room, bathroom door handle wasnt sucurred to the door and there isnt a lock on the front door besides a rod one on the top so it still opens up about two inches, if u dont watch small children this could cause bad damange for smashing arms/fingers anything.. I didn't realize this hotel would have a full kitchen, and a separate dining/living room. For the rate we paid, this was a fantastic deal. The only problem we had was that there was an odd creaking coming from the ceiling in the bedroom, almost like the wind outside (was a very windy weekend) was shaking the building. But that was very minor.

I've stayed in multiple resorts and hotels. The Atrium has been my worse stay. The room was in need of repair and had a bad smell. They are currently renovating. If you book a stay at this resort, make sure you are not placed on the first or second floors. The other floors have been renovated and are in good shape.
