Very simple and secure place. Surprising that even in the lower price range that this would be as good as it is. Great local. No other guests. Super clean.

Glad to have a place to spend the night in Crested Butte that doesn't break the bank. I got a private room and I was satisfied with that. Check in times were not exactly adhered to..but there was a phone to call to access the room key, so that turned out OK. The butte hostel is a beautiful building and the rooms are fine and ammenities also. Susan has been most helpful and its close to the free bus to the resort. The town itself is pretty small and a lil pricey but very beautiful.

Now remind yourself that this is a hostel and not a hotel and you will be impressed. Every amenity that you need. The only complaint I have is that the bed wasnt very comfortable. But for the money I spent I cant expect a plush memory foam bed to sleep on.

Crested Butte is a great place to go for mountain biking and the town has a very positive vibe.

The stay was fine. The rooms are shared, the bed was comfortable and the price was certainly very attractive. I got my money's worth. I would stay there again. Paul J R

This is a great OLD hotel, I enjoyed it from that perspective. Great history, great location, great town. I was there over the Art Festival weekend so it was busy. The bar next door was noisy on Friday and Sat night but that was half the fun. I was in an upatairs front room and you could hear the street. If you want it quieter stay towards the back. […] No AC but not really need unless it's really hot, it cools down nicely at night. Dutch the manager was great and they have a super resturant, bar down stairs and an outdoor dinning area along a creek. Overall it was a great adult experience. Läs mer

We reserved the private queen room for 2 nights (Sun, Mon) last week of June. Basic accommodations were clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable & close to downtown! Shared baths offer plenty of room for guests. Internet worked without a hitch! Would stay here again.

When we arrived, tired and sleepy for check in, we were locked out of our room for 90 minutes. None of the key cards would work and no one was there. I was on the phone with workers off and on for a few hours until someone arrived with a new key.

This place is very nice for a hostel. However, I sent an email ahead of time saying I would be checking in late and they never responded. So I called the general reservations number and they said there would be a late check in number to call when I got there. The blue button on the phone to call didn't work so we ended up calling the emergency number […] to get checked in. And I left at 745am, never once saw staff, kind of weird. Also the address is STILL wrong with hotels.com and I got lost. Good thing I had read a previous post stating this, so I quickly figured out what was wrong. Läs mer

This place was a pleasant surprise! Don't let "hostel" dissuade you from staying here - it is a very nice place if you need to stay somewhere reasonable and friendly while in CB. The staff is very nice, personable and helpful. I would say it is a five-star hostel. I will definitely stay there again.

For a hostel, this is superb. Clean, inviting, friendly and eco-conscious enough to have in-floor heating and automatic lights. If you are budget minded and want a hostel experience, I totally recommend staying here.

The CB Lodge and Hostel is VERY clean. We had a very comfortable room. The second night I cooked dinner for the family and the kitchen had everything I needed. The common areas were great, clean, simple, comfortable. My room, however, was freezing cold. They gave me a space heater but there's something seriously wrong with Room 209, either the heat is turned off or the three windows turn it into an icebox. On your site and on my confirmation that I printed and brought with me, you have the wrong address for the Hostel. It should be Teocalli Ave instead of Road. You also do not have the phone number of the Hotel on the printed confirmation. Don't you think your customers would like that information with them?

I have traveled all over the world and this is the nicest hostel I know. Common areas are comfortable, rooms are clean, and staff very helpful. The location is perfect with the most scenic panorama anywhere.

It was clean and the locals and staff are friendly. They try very hard to keep one person to a dorm until all the rooms are filled, which gave me some unanticipated privacy the majority of the week. The kitchen/dining area is large and people would tend to gather there in the evenings, making for some great story-telling.
