Hjälpsam receptionspersonal. Vi hade inte frukost på hotellet, trevligare att fika på stan. Första natten hade vi rum ut mot gatan och det var mycket oljud hela natten. Vi kunde byta rum och sov gott övriga nätter. Takterassen ser trevligare ut på bilderna, men ändå ok. Vi nyttjade dock inte den eftersom vi upptäckte att det finns massor av intressantare saker att göra i denna fantastiska stad än att hänga på en takterass :-). Läget är ok men nästa gång vill jag hellre bo ytterligare ett snäpp in mot centrum och skippa takterass och pool.

Fancy lobby, taskiga små rum, med en heltäckande betongvägg 2 meter från fönstret, och en närliggande tvättlina som enda utsikt. Läget är bra, men absolut inte värt de pengar som man fick betala för hotellet. Personalen pratar knagglig engelska, och är inte trevlig eller hjälpsam för fem öre. Finns garanterat trevligare hotell till billigare peng.

Mycket bra läge mitt i stadens centrum. Trevlig personal, fin frukostbuffé och skapliga rum. Lite högre klass på övriga hotellet än på själva rummen men helt okej. Kan tänka mig det igen främst på grund av perfekt läge! :)

Hotellet ligger MITT i stan. Man kliver ut och allt finns där. Ett par minuters promenad till Las Ramblas, super. Rummet var relativt litet och noll utsikt, men vi sov endast där och ingenting annat så för oss var det lugnt. Personalen kunde lite engelska så det gick att kommunicera med dem. Bra hotell nära till allt, lugnt område med nära till allt. La Ramblas och marinan samt pl. . Rekomenderar djupast. Fantastisk frukost hotell med bra service trevlig personal, språk kunniga!

Hotellet ligger bra till, och priserna bra. Rena, men kanske lite väl enkla rum. Frukostbuffén var med skandinaviska mått helt ok.

Underbart läge, men jag skulle nog bedömma det som ett 3-stjärnigt hotell snarare än 4. Vårat rum var minimalt - det minsta jag sett - men det gör ju inte så mycket (alla var inte lika små). Ligger vid en ganska trafikerad väg som om man vill ha fullständig tystnad nattetid ska man inte välja detta hotell. Det störde inte oss dock. Gymmet är ingen höjdare. Frukostbufféen […] kostade endast 8 Euro och var helt klart prisvärd. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lite slitet men helt ok. Det står att det är plasmatv men vi hade en liten "tjocktv", spelade iochförsig ingen roll för vi tittade aldrig på tv ändå... Lätt att ta sig till och från flygbussen med endast en kort promenad. Läget är det bästa! Gångavstånd till allt (i princip). Rekommenderas om man inte söker nåt lyxigt utan ett ok ställe att sova på för att istället ägna tid och pengar till att utforska denna fantastiska stad! Loved the location but would call it a 3 star rater than a 4 star. Breakfast is good value for money (8E) but the rooms (our at least) are tiny! We recomend it mainly because of the great location and because it feels nice and clean without beeing anything special. Läs mer

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from La Ramblas and in the middle of everything so location is great. I have stayed here multiple times (summer and x-mas day) and the service have been great all the times. Rooms have 3-4 star standard ok for price payed. Free wifi in the room is a big plus. Tip: Beside the hotel is a restaurant called 'Rosa Negra' […] very popular tex-mex restaurant with cheap prices on mojitos great place to end a nigth on town and then stumble back to the hotel and sleep. I recomend this hotel to everyone that want to stay in the city centre and have 5-15 min walk access to everything. Läs mer

Vi fick ett rökrum trots att vi beställt för icke-rökare. Rummet var dessutom mycket dåligt städat, men vi fick efter mycket om och men byta till ett nytt icke-rökarrum. Där var städningen ok, men ändå inte på topp. Dessutom luktade det avlopp i badrummet under hela vistelsen. Städerskan bäddade inte heller sängen ordentligt. "Confortel almirante - lite utanför Barcelona"
Trevligt hotell som jag och min pojkvän trivdes bra på, sköna sängar, bra dusch. Nackdelen är att det ligger en bit utanför Barcelona och det är långt till närmaste tunnelbanan. Skönt att slippa ljudet från staden, men lite dyrt att åka taxi fram och tillbaka från centrum.

Hotellet ligger perfekt nästan mitt emot katedralen och dess trevliga torg i Gotiska kvarteret.Stor gata med livlig trafik men bra ljudisolering, så rummen är tysta.Välfungerande klimatanläggning.Svalt o skönt.Breda o hårda sängar,god o rejäl frukost,stora rum.Trevlig o hjälpsam personal.Mycket nöjda!
"Superbra hotell mitt i centrala Barcelona"
Mycket nöjd med hotellet! Läget är fantastiskt bra med gångavstånd till hamnen, stranden, La Rambla och Placa de Catalunya. Stort, rymligt och fräscht rum. Vi blev även erbjudna att checka ut senare då vårt flyg gick på kvällen. Frukosten är bra, nybakat bröd, nypressad juice och de mesta man kan önska sig. Rekommenderar hotellet starkt!

"Pricey hotel for what you get"
The Confortel Almirante was rather expensive for what you get. I'm surprised by the average rating of 4 stars. My room was very small and the walls were all scuffed up. A chunk of the sink countertop was missing exposing the particle board underneath. And the safe in my closet wouldn't close, so I had to keep pushing it in to open and close the closet […] doors. The location is great... right near the Jaume metro station. A couple of months ago, I stayed at the AC Diplomat. Much better service, quality of hotel and price. Two blocks from Passig de Gracia, so still a good location. I'll go back there again. Läs mer

I was very disappointed in the quality of the hotel overall. Thius is not a four star property and teh rating should be changed. The room was so bad I asked for a refund and moved to another hotel. I will say thoughthat the staff was helpful in making this move. I talked to other guests and they were all disappointed in the quality based on the on-line […] description. "FAR FROM A 4STAR HOTEL"
The staff are very friendly and speak english. Besides that, everything else about this hotel is below 3 star standard. They do not have adapters for the rooms. Towels are super old/worn out, not enough amenities. i travel all the time, and usually stay in 4-5 star hotels, and i have never been in a hotel like this one. It reminded me of my college […] days :) room is super small, the TV is from 1992, wholes and cracks on the walls and ceilings, and you can tell that they'ev just painted over it, instead of repairing them. I wanted somewhere for a reasonable price and hotels.com offered this hotel. I'd never been to Barcelona before but everyone went on about la ramblas. Luckily for us this hotel is right next to it. The airport is in easy reach and when we came out the airport we jumped on a blue airport bus for 5€. This took us to catalunya which is the area where the […] hotel is. We then walked from the bus stop through the bustling streets about half a mile to the hotel. Lovely foyer area, very modern looking and relaxed, especially after walking through the busy city. The room although on the 6th floor had great views over the city. The room was basic but clean and tidy. The foyer was maintained a lot better than the 6th floor but it was far from bad. Service was good. A map was offered and breakfast which we didn't take as it was very expensive. Plus...Barcelona is full of places to eat. Great location for sightseeing very central. Rooms good but overlooking apartment block really close to hotel. Windows in our room at the back of the hotel were frosted making the room very dark. I would use the hotel again as we were in walking distance to shops sightseeing etc.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms but I wouldn't classify as 4 Star Hotel. In a great spot in the Gothic Quarter. Very close to all amenities. Less than 5 minutes walk to Place Catalunia, Las Ramblas,El Cortes Englise Dept store.,. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. First impression - hotel looks modern. In reality, dusty, walls need paint. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The breakfast is nothing special.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location. The rooms are large and clean, but of quite basic standard. This hotel is probably more of 3/3+ than 4 star, so you basically get what you pay for.

Within walking distance of so many wonderful sites, restaurants, tapas bars, etc. including Las Ramblas, Picasso Museum & even the waterfront. Hotel was clean & staff were pleasant & helpful. Rooms were not large, but were comfortable. We would recommend this hotel & would be happy to stay here again.

Ending up staying here last minute. Hotel is in a great central location near Las Ramblas and the gothic quarters. The hotel room is bigger then i expected. The bathrooms were rather small. and then bed was average at best. I would recommend staying here if you want to be in a central location in the city.

The only thing good about this hotel was the location and the complimentary water. The beds were awful, the service was rude and the building run down. We sat down for the breakfast we paid extra for and not until after we had started eating did the staff come over and drop a bill for one breakfast, why would we have paid for 1 person and not the other? […] We got a special deal for breakfast through hotels.com and certainly would not have paid the amount they were requesting if we hadn't gone through the website. We were happy to have been checked in early. Went to the room and discovered we had been given a room at the back of the hotel. Although quiet, this meant looking out to other people's balconies and laundry. We did not open the windows throughout our stay. We were quite excited and decided to unpack quickly and then go out to see some sights. While […] unpacking, someone opened our door which gave us a shock!!The other person was shocked too. Turned out that another guest had been checked into the same room within the hour!!! He apologised profusely, although it was not his fault. The second night we were there, the internet access broke down. As we were in different time zones, my husband needed to email some documents at 3am. He went down to the reception to inform them of the breakdown but they were not convinced and said that my husband's computer was faulty. He then asked for some documents to be faxed over and was refused initially, but later the recepton staff compromised and did it for him. When we complained to the receptionist in the morning about the internet being down, again he too did not believe us. We told him something has to be done as we need the access, and it needs to be repaired as soon as possible, but he said there was nothing he could do about it. We then asked for the manager and he said he did not know what time the manager was coming. Later on, we heard other people complaining about their internet access as well, and everything was fine by the time we came back from our outing. Läs mer

Americans beware! 4 stars mean very different things in Europe. The room is tiny, the walls are very thin (you get to hear your next door neighbor too well! ), the bed is small, the TV is small - it''s a minimal room (jn a WONDERFUL location). The Confortel Almirante is a short walk from the city center, Placa de Catalunya. For tourists traveling via public transportation, this is ideal. You can catch a bus or hop on the Metro with ease, giving you access to the entire city. I felt quite safe walking the square and the neighborhood near the hotel very late at night. I greatly appreciated the free bottled water the hotel stocked in my room's refrigerator on a daily basis. After a long, hot day walking the city this was a most welcome surprise! "Great Hotel and Close to Attractions"
This hotel is really close to the Jaume I and the Uriquinaona Metro stations (about a 5min walk to each one). Buses can be used, but the Metro is very efficient. There were many restaurants within walking distance. It is within an easy walking distance of many attractions. The staff was mostly friendly, and most spoke English well; however, it is […] best if you speak basic Spanish or have a phrase book with you. The morning people seemed annoyed to have to speak English, but the night guy was very friendly and helpful (he even helped me with some of my Spanish). There are two computers in the lobby that can be used by guests for free. There is a restaurant, but it was expensive. Breakfast was included with our stay, but it was a typically European breakfast with meats, cheeses, juices, some cereal, bread, etc... It would cost about 16 Euro if we had to pay for it out of pocket - be sure to clarify before eating the breakfast. One thing is that you must slide your room key card into a slot next to the door to turn the lights on - uncommon for American hotels. We were on the 6th floor - thankfully there are two elevators for easy access. The room was air conditioned - thankfully so. The beds (two twins) were hard (but not uncomfortable), but I find that is common among the three different hotels I stayed in while traveling in Spain. Läs mer
