Hotell Zanhotel Il Canale - Bologna

Jag och min familj bodde tre nätter på detta mycket centralt belägna hotell i Bologna. Det var mycket nära till stationen och alla sevärdheterna. Frukosten var, efter sydeuropeiska förhållanden mycket bra, och personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Hotellet rekommenderas varmt.

Enkelt något slitet men rent och fräscht. Bra service och bra frukost. Perfekt läge, ligger mitt i den gamla delen av staden och nära till allt.

Ett mycket prisvärt hotel med perfekt läge, trevlig personal och en riklig frukost (för att vara i Italien). Vi fick hjälp av hotelpersonalen att ta reda på tågtiderna till Florens. Värt ett besök - rasan dit tog endast en timma på ett bekvämt tåg.

Perfekt läge, 50 meter till stritan, buss, kyrka, mat, etc. Trevlig personal + god frukost. Mkt prisvärt.

Mycket centralt beläget, nära till flygbussen. Blev dessvärre placerade på första vån. ut mot gatan och intill receptionen. Det var lyhört och sena nattgäster och telefonen störde lite. Vi stannade bara en natt, så det spelade ingen roll. Trevlig personal, mycket bra frukost för att vara i Italien.

This is a hotel with a nice and genuine athosphere in central Bologna. Not a big five star hotel, but a small hotel nicely located in an old, centrally located part of the city. Service was good and staff was friendly. Would not hesitate to go back there again.

Finfint hotel i mitten av Bolognas gamla stad. Svårt att hitta dit, men får man bilen parkerad och har landat i hotellet, är det värt det.

Bra hotell mitt i Bologna. Rent och snyggt. Litet badrum. Ingen separat dusch i badrummet utan man duschade på golvet i princip där toalettstolen var placerad.

Trevligt hotell med perfekt läge i centrala Bologna. Lite små rum men allt väldigt rent och fräscht. Trevlig personal. Utvidgad kontinental frukost. Jag återvänder gärna.

Was very good for our family of 4 people (parents and 2 adult children). In the city center, so had no problems going around by walking. Was quite convenient and comfortable.

We had out two teenagers with us. We had a very large room one queen two twins, large clean bathroom. Older hotel in middle of everything. Nice breakfast. Older property, very good value, room cleanliness very good. If you are looking for luxury not here, if you want a good efficent, older clean property in a great location,this is it.

The hotel location is good to walk around the town. The bus from the airport stops just down the road. The hotel carpets are dirty and it doesn't look good. The room key (22) didn't work so had the get cleaner or night porter to let us in. The room was ok but nothing fantastic. Generally ok no more

The staff was really nice and helpful. Any questions I had (where to get dinner, wifi) they had multiple answers and all were great. The only complaint has already been mentioned in several reviews that the alley does have the smell of garbage which can come in the bathroom. I stayed at Il Canale a weekend it April and although the rooms are small, it is a very cosy and clean hotel with friendly staff so if you're looking for a centrally located hotel in Bologna with reasonable prices, this is the perfect choice.

Friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Room was lovely with an annex/adjoining room over the canal. Breakfast was varied and plentiful (cold breakfast included) with a variety of fruits/juices/water, breads, buns, tarts, croissants, yoghurts, cereals, cold meats and cheese. Teas and coffees. Great value. Location was just off a great street, centre […] of town. The side street on which hotel was located was a little shabby but it was only a few metres from main street. Parking difficult, rate differed from rate in hotel brochure. Smell in room from canal.

Room was functional but clean. Orionally put in Room 1 which is opposite reception and next to the lift so asked to be moved. Great location - bus stop for the airport is 2 minutes walk away and all shops and sights very near.

Room was spacious and well-appointed. Everything about the hotel was great and excellent value for money. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was typical for an Italian hotel of this type. We loved the location. It's smack in the heart of Bologna. We were able to walk to the market, gelato, pizza, great bolognese restaurants. etc. And as […] it's off on a side street, there wasn't blaring street noise. A great hotel, made our weekend break. So central, just step out onto the main shopping street in Bologna. Friendly staff, apart from stroppy breakfast lady. Breakfast a bit mean, but still couldn't drop my review. We loved the position, the room was spacious and nicely equipped. We had a lovely time.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We arrived in the late afternoon, and the only room that was available was room #1: on the ground floor immediately across from reception. The room smelled funny, and was very noisy throughout the night and in the morning. As we were checking in, we had thought that the room won't be great and asked to be transferred, […] but no other room was available. We asked for another room the following morning, and were given a room on the third floor, which was very nice, spacious, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is not great, and an internet point is advertised but the internet did not work. But otherwise we had a nice experience. Läs mer

Bologna is a small but bustling city. This hotel is within the central core of the town, where the car traffic is limited. It is just off the main street of the town, which is a constant stream of buses and people and provides an easy way to get started into the city as well as finding your way home. From within the hotel, you'd think you were in the […] countryside, because it is very quiet. With the curtain drawn it was so dark and quiet that I overslept my first day of business. (There are no clocks, by the way, which is a deficiency.) After being in Paris a couple of days when I could be assured the cars would get me up, this was quite a change. The room was also relatively large, the bed was comfortable. The window from my room pointed toward the canale, which I couldn't quite see rom the room but which must have helped make that side of the hotel more quiet. Läs mer

The best thing about this hotel is its location: In the very center of Bologna, walking distance to everywhere, while the street is rather quiet. The breakfasts were good, and rooms were OK. However, the service could be much better. Prepare to pay 5 euro per hour on Internet; there is no Wifi. The employees do not know that there is in fact free Wifi […] Internet in the center of the city and in a few cafes. The personnel is bewildered by even the simplest requests. For example, it took several days to get an iron. Getting a corkscrew turned into another unsolvable problem. Finally, we had to go to a local bar and asked them to open our bottle of wine. Mi è stata assegnata una camera al piano terra di fronte alla reception, ho ascoltato continuamente dei rumori compreso la notte.

Vårt opphold var i månedsskiftet nov-des. Godt oppvarmet rom. Meget bra standard på badet. Bra frokost og god service. Vi trives best i små hotell så dette var midt i blinken for oss.

Meget venlig betjening og gode oplysninger vedr. turistmål i byen. Nydeligt hotel - vedr. morgenmad så kunne vi selv betjene kaffemaskinen og få mere end 1 kop kaffe hvilket vi nød og morgenmaden var god.

Goed 3 sterren hotel op loopafstand vanaf het station en het centrale plein van Bologna. Kamer is OK, ontbijt beneden in de kelder eenvoudig maar op zich goed van kwaliteit, jammer was dat er bij het ontbijt geen bediening is.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable, the building has wide corridors, allowing baggage to be moved easily, unlike some of the other hotels we stayed at in Italy. The breakfast was very good. We would stay there again.

Estupendo hotel. Estupenda habitación con buena cama para dormir. Muy bien decorada. Quizá con algo de polvo. Personal muy amable. perfectamente situado, a escasos 20 metro de una de las arterias principales de la ciudad, La Via de la Independenza. El desayuno estupendo. Mooi verzorgd hotel dichtbij alle belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden. Ruime sfeervol ingerichte kamer . Prima ontbijt. Goed hotel om meerdere dagen te verblijven.

Calidad-precio excelente. Céntrico y próximo a la estación. Perfecto para parejas y para familias con niños, ya que disponen de habitaciones cuadrúples.

Ikke videre spændende morgenmad--kedelig brød --skinke og ost--når man nu ved hvilken videunderlig ost og skinke man kan få i Italien. Kaffen var heller ikke videre spændende. Men der var masse af sødt

Vores værelse var ikke særlig stort, men til gengæld var det rent, hyggeligt og bar præg af at være istandsat for nyligt. Tjekket badeværelse. Personalet var super sympatisk.

Arrived at the Hotel and was immidiatly disappointed. The nice canal advertized was a tiny 2 m wide sewer. There was no parking place although the hotel advertizes "ample parking" I was able to squeeze in the car and got a 38 EUR ticket the day after. The room was tiny and dark. No direct view of the sky. Next door is a shop for adult play items. The […] good thing is that it is very centrally located, essentially everything in walking distance. Nous avons énormément apprécié cet hôtel au cœur de la ville , car tout est accessible à pied . On peut découvrir les monuments , les musées et l'architecture de la ville , profiter de ses animations , faire du shopping et goûter à la gastronomie ( trattorias , bars, apéritivo spécialités régionales ) . L'hôtel est charmant, bien décoré ,propre, le […] petit déjeuner copieux, l'accueil très sympathique . Inconvénient : l'environnement un peu bruyant mais il y a double vitrage et climatisation et il ne faut surtout pas essayer d'y arriver en voiture ; il existe un parking public tout proche ; il faut en prévoir le budget . Alt fungerede bare - bookning over net, modtagelse og som sagt 5 min fra det meste - der var stille og roligt og personalet lod os passe os selv som vi foretrækker - ingen trafikstøj og man man kunne sove længe uforstyrret, rent sengelinned og håndklæder hver dag, trods det at vi påpejede at det nok ikke var nødvendigt - sådan var det bare. Internettet […] fungerede ikke, men det var muligt at bruge hotellets computer. Super beliggehed ca 30 meter fra hovedgaden via en smal smøge derfor ingen larm overhovedet. Superhyggeligt med et meget stort værelse og høflig, hjælpsom og altid engelsktalende personale. Morgenmad typisk italiensk og intet at skrive hjem om, men små cafeer indenfor 30 meter. 3 min til fod til piazza Maggiore og den gamle bydel. Masser af restauranter […] tæt ved. Dette er hotellet for dem der vil bo tæt på byen og ikke vil have unødig transport. Det er ikke luksus, men der er rent og pænt og alt hvad der skal være inkl minibar/køleskab på værelset og eget stort badeværelse. Läs mer

Hotellet ligger i en rolig bakgate til hovedgaten med kort vei til restauranter, jernbane og severdigheter. Store rom, hyggelig og serviceinnstilt ansatte, god og lang frokost.

Nice room, good airconditioning, excellent location in the middle of historical Bologna. Airport shutlle stops right in front of the hotel.
