Mycket nöjd. Snygg inredning och rent. Inga vägglöss :-) Väldigt bra och trevligt läge nära tunnelbanestationer och någon minuts promenad till central park. Mycket sköna sängar och kuddar. Personalen var mycket glad och hjälpsam och gav oss gärna tips och information om stan vid fråga. Vi förstod oss först inte på varmvattnet, men det visade sig att det måste saknas cirkulation i ledningarna så vi fick spola ett tag - sedan kom värmen.

Really comfortable bed and furnished in a wonderful way. Depending upon where you stay at the estate there may be some walking involved to bring in your suitcases.

"Tarrytown House - Easter Weekend Stay"
The hotel and the surroundings were beautiful. Easy access to major highways, Westchester airport and tourist sights. The grounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Tarrytown House estate as option to get a roomier and nicer hotel with two double beds for our family with two kids - while spending significantly less than staying in Manhattan. We also liked the athletic center and used the weight room, racketball court and pool.

This hotel rates well for events and family stays. Located in residential neighborhood in huge 20+ acre property, there is much to explore and many scenic spots to view and take pictures of. The only issue I have is its distance from Manhattan should you wish to explore the city. It takes about an hour to get to timesquare or ground zero or central […] park from the hotel. "It's getting hot in here!"
I stayed in the Putnam area and the Victorian look could use a little upgrading. However, the service and property views including the landscaping are unbeatable. Its a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the room they put me in had a broken thermostat but by the time i came to realize, it was too late. I was already settled in and […] they did offer to send an engineer. I refused only because at that point in time, it would've been an inconvenience to me (the room should've never been made available to begin with). As if it wasn't bad enough that the thermostat was inoperable, the unit was not adjustable manually. It became so uncomfortable eventually that i just ending up leaving the same night. "Wonderful place to stay in a lovely town"
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Tarrytown House. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and they and the buildings very meticulously maintained. The town and surrounding towns are very beautiful. We had a lovely view of the Hudson River from our room. We ate at the hotel restaurant Cellar 49 on […] our first evening and it had great food and drinks with an excellent wait staff (even though we arrived rather late) they didn't try to rush us and were perfectly wonderful. Very nice looking property (charming buildings, very impressive garden, view of the river), but once you walk inside it is "overpriced". Stayed there for a business meeting in the area. Facilities are nice, but not as up to date for supporting business travelers. There are limited and incoveniently placed outlets for plugging in or recharging devices. My room had only one phone - on the nightstand between the beds, and so there was no phone on the desk area. Great Service, Great food! What more can you ask for? Close to all the must see mansions (closed for winter) great view of the Tappen Zee bridge and the river if you"re lucky enough to get a room with a view! Dinner at Cellar 49 was great Lovely quiet winter getaway!!

"Tarrytown has a gem in the Tarrytown House Estates"
This is a beautifully appointed hotel with extraordinary staff who welcomed us and were so considerate and aware of our needs. My husband has difficulty walking and they placed us in an easily accessible room and helped us with our luggage. The room was rich looking but warm and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is marked 4-star by hotels.com. It is a 3-star at best. My room had intermittent hot water for which they made all kinds ofTar excuses but didn't fix it. They changed my room to one with hot water but it was a smaller room. Not what I paid for. Breakfast is not included. Expect to pay an exorbitant price at the hotel but there is in Tarrytown […] a nice coffee shop with excellent food and low prices less than 10 minutes away. I got totally wrong check-out info from a Spanish speaker at the counter in the lobby. Don't expect many English speakers at that counter. If your trip is for one or two days such as a wedding this place is OK. If longer, go somewhere else. I stayed six days and won't go back there on my next trip. Tarrytown has much colonial history. "Great Stay"
The hotel is hard to find in the night but once you get there it glows. A confrence center with a theme, it would be great for any occasion. The surrounding area is steeped in history. The mansions are well kept. When you leave the hotel go to left on Broadway and drive to the Shell station @ Main.A small resturant at the oppisite corner serves breakfast […] for $5.00. "Close to the city but without the city hassle"
I was only here one night over Thanksgiving and I was pleased with the quality of the hotel. Moreover, I was very happy with the hotel staff - just wonderful people. The hotel and surrounding area has a rich history and one of the gentlemen working there took the time to give me the historical details. Just awesome.

The hotel location is convenient to access to Hwy I287 north and sourth, and Hwy I87 north and sourth. The location is also close to White Plains, NY. It is a unique setting different from a normal hotel setting. The staff were extremely helpful in navigating our way to White Plains, Yankee Stadium, shopping malls, the Bronx, and downtown Mahathan. The Hotel is located in a beautiful area--near Sleepy Hallow. I was there for business for 4 days. "Tarrytown Estate"
I've stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, at a very reasonable price. I always come back here when I work in this area. Only thing to watch: the walls are not very soundproof in most of the building. Noisy neighbours will be heard.
"Beautiful on the outside, average on the inside"
The grounds of Tarrytown House are really lovely. The inside of the hotel/conference center is underwhelming. The rooms were good-sized and clean, but fairly bland. The biggest issue were the paper-thin walls; I got about 4 hours of sleep because of noisy neighbors and really loud conversations in the hallway.

A few comments: Saturday night late party people making lots of noise in hallway. Considering I was short on rest and had to awake early, I was a little upset, but managed to fall back to sleep.Sound from neighboring rooms a bit loud. "Beautiful estate"
We stayed at Tarrytown House Estate on the way back to JFK airport. What a beautiful way to end our vacation. We would love to go back some day and spend more time there. The grounds are beautiful, the room very comfortable, and the staff were very nice. We took advantage of the chairs overlooking the green and watched the deer in the evening. We had […] drinks in the Tavern and dinner at the restaurant. Both had high quality food and drinks and the wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in the Putnam unit of the hotel and the only problem was getting from the lobby to our room. There is not an elevator that can take you from the 5th floor down to the 2nd floor. Very impressed with hotel/house surroundings. Beautiful wooded area. Missed out on visiting nearby attractions, went during hurricane Irene to help son and family...WILL BE BACK FOR MORE TIME OUT AND FUN. Customer attention great, and caring. Restaurant beautiful, good quality food, pricy but excellent. DO remember you pay for what you get. Rooms impeccable, […] decoration superb and the sights of every room just beautiful. Do remember though that elevators are not quite available and you must be able in most rooms to go up and down stairs. Accomodations are available for handicap persons though. We chose the hotel because it looked like a spacious and comfortable property within reasonably easy reach of New York City. We were not disappointed. The grounds are enormous and the amenities of good standard - liked the outdoor pool and the gym. The rooms were unspectular in decor but well kept and very comfortable - no complaints at all. Visitors […] need to understand that this place is big on conferences and weddings which means that very occasionally one feels a bit crowded out but it's not a big complaint because of the size of the place. Made a nice change from the usual chains - Marriott etc. A few small niggles:- no coffee shop, few childrens cable channels on the TV (lack of Disney channel was a disappointment for some of our party!). "Hope to return a 3rd time"
My husband and I and another couple stayed here two weeks prior to this trip. We loved it so much we immediately booked a second stay upon our arrival home from the first stay. There are so many things to do and see here that it takes more than one trip to really take it all in. We arrived early on a day when the hotel was hosting a huge 300 person […] event and there were tons of people everywhere, including a lot of children. I haven't anything against kids, however, this hotel seems to be set up for adult enjoyment more than it is for kids so the place was a little crazy for the first few hours that we were there. As I said, we arrived early but went to the desk to let them know we were on the grounds for when a room became available. This is a "king bed" reservation but "first come, first served" hotel and we wanted to ensure a king bed since that's my main reason for staying away from home in a local hotel. We went to the pool house, put on our bathing suits and laid by the pool for a few hours. We had a nice lunch with pretty good sangria at that pool's cabana, then when it was time I formally check us in. Our room was lovely, last time we stayed in Kings Mansion, this time in the Putnam house and it was great!! I read that the place can be a bit like a maze in these buildings and I do agree with that, however, as long as one can read, it was/is no trouble to find your way around. I am looking forward to going back again, maybe in the fall sometime when all of the beautiful greenery on the grounds will be changing colors. I still have not had the chance to take the walking tour so I really want to get back to check that out too. The bar, lounge, game room et al at cellar 49 are all great. We spent our last day with thunder storms so we swam in the indoor pool and sauna, worked out in the gym, then the husbands played pool in the game room while we sat in the lounge and played a game my friend had brought while we sipped tea and coffee and had snacks from the kitch Läs mer

Family of four with twin 5 year old girls stayed in a room with two double beds. We had a ball in the pools and loved the grounds. The sleeping not-so-much because the double beds are small and the walls are thin. We had a stellar, 1st class experience at the estates. Cannot wait to go back. Truly relaxing atmosphere- fantastic food at the restaurant (w a friendly chef!). I barely want to tell you about it because I want to keep it to myself. Just go. It's worth the stay.

We didn't know what we were getting in to when we booked for one night, and were shocked to pull into the Estate. Rolling, beautifully manicured lawns and gardens, historic houses and a modern, luxury room. Absolutely first rate. "Great weekend get-away from NYC"
I spent part of memorial day weekend at Tarrytown House Estate and it was the perfect two-day quick trip from the NYC area. It was so conveinent to take the Metro North and a fast, cheap cab ride to the hotel, that we got there from the city in less than an hour. The grounds of the hotel themselves were beautiful and the front desk was very accomodating, […] and actually checked us in two hours earlier than the stated check-in time. The pool and pool-side bar were wonderful to enjoy on a hot day, even though it is not a heated pool so it was still a little chilly. The Cellar 49 and breakfest buffet were both delicious. Although the location is a little remote for those interested in jam-packed activities, it is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax. We took a nice walk over to Lyndhurst to enjoy the grounds and Sunnyside, so it was actually perfectly located as far as we (i.e. people who don't have a car) were concerned. "Out of NYC"
We had a great weekend away from the city. The hotel was nicer than I expected. The grounds were very well maintained and service was lovely. Great weekend destination for NYC families! We swam, played tennis, and had a great meal. Breakfast buffet was okay - nothing special.
Consider staying at this unique and beautiful property.

We had to make a quick visit to Yonkers, NY for a funeral. Yonkers is not a great place to stay but we needed to be close. I remembered the Tarrytown house because we had our wedding breakfast there in 2003. It was just as wonderful last week as it was 8 years ago. Rooms were super. Bed and linens so comfortable.
