The motel is a good option when you're visiting SF with a car. It is in walking distance to the cable car and Fisherman's wharf. However, it is quite noisy in the room due to much traffic on Lombard street.

Underbart hotell för ett mycket rimligt pris. Ligger väldigt nära Fishermans Wharf, samtidigt som det är mycket centralt. Enda problemet jag fann med det här problemet är att det ligger precis bredvid en gata som är mycket vältraffikerad, även på natten; Lombard Street. Men med ett par öronproppar var det inget problem!

Rekomenderas. Bra att det fanns lediga parkeringar i huset. Rent och fräscht, lite slitet, men det störde ej. Men priset och läget gör att man kan har överseende med detta. Hjälpsam personal. Sköna sängar.

Ett riktigt bra motell nära Fisherman's Wharf och sevärdheter som Lombard Street. Det tog ca 15 min att promenera till Chinatown. Området kändes tryggt och säkert. Rummet var rent och vi såg Golden Gate från balkongen. Det enda som saknades var kylskåp på rummet, det kostade extra. Lätt att komma med bil. Bra parkering. Lätt att promenera ner till turist attraktionerna vid Fishermans warf. Väl fungerande WIFI.

Bra placerat hotell med promenadavstånd till många sevärdheter och centrum. Som det står i andra recensioner så kan det vara störande ljud från vägen utanför men inget konstigt då det är Highway 101. Får man ett rum på insidan är detta perfekt. Frukost köper man runt hörnet.

Bra läge, med gångavstånd till Fishermans Wharf, kabelspårvagnsstation den kurviga delen av Lombard Street och den Brantaste Backen. Gratis parkering i parkeringshus. Rena stora rum med bekväma sängar. Vi bodde 3 stycken i ett rum och det var inga problem alls.

Bed's were very comfortable and the room was large. Great access via Muni to Union Square. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and the Crookedest Street. Very nice place for the price. If you're looking for pool, fitness center, meeting rooms and the like then this place is not for you. I was a little apprehensive about staying here for our trip to San Francisco but I was pleasantly surprised and very happy with our stay at the Lombard Motor Inn! The Room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable (foam mattresses), we had a great TV with what little use it had, it was very quiet (we were not on the Lombard Street side), […] and the hotel has free parking which was a huge selling feature. We were just minutes walking from Fisherman’s Warf and Pier 39 and it was fairly easy to navigate public transportation from this area! One front desk worker was very helpful about details to the public transit system. The only con I can think about was the shower head was really low (we were all taller) and the water pressure was on the low side. But this would be no reason to deter a person from a stay here. We would definitely stay here again given a trip like this to San Francisco! Läs mer

Hotel staff was not friendly. I asked for a king bed and did not get it. Street side of hotel is terrible, was up all night. The beds were very comfortable and it was walking distance to all attractions. Also free parking at the hotel was great. Ask for other side or it will feel like you are sleeping on the freeway.

I loved this hotel for the location and the comfy memory foam beds. I read the reviews in advanced and made sure to ask for a room farthest from the street if you are a hard sleeper. Staff was great.

The price was reasonable for San Francisco, but being right next a street that was incredibly busy was not good. I'm not a light sleeper and thought I would be able to handle the noise. Wrong! I've never stayed at a motel that had this much noise, I will be much more careful in selecting next time. Otherwise my stay was good.

We were very pleased with the hotel. It's an old property, but well maintained. Very comfortable beds. I was particularly pleased with the pillows (in 9 out 10 hotel rooms the pillows are to "fat" to my taste). The room was clean and had everything we needed. And of course you can't beat the location. Free parking was nice too.

I was pleasently surprised at the quality of the room. It actually was much nicer than it looked in the pictures, The lobby entrance is a little odd but you don't spend much time there anyway. The walk to fisherman's wharf is a little long but not too bad. We were on the backside of the hotel and it was very quiet. Great room for the value.

I stayed for one night as I was passing through. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We asked to be placed on the quiet side of the building, no issues at all. Staff was nice and helpful. I was able to book an airport shuttle for $15 (bonus). There was good wifi connection and it was free. Me and my friend stayed in this hotel for two nights, the locations is great, very close to Main tourist atractions! For the money we spent on this place it is really worth it! Would stay again absolutely!

First night was not very good because our room was located in front next to the highway. The noise kept us up all night. We requested our room be changed for our second night. Good location. Front desk clerk was very nice, room was clean. the only downfall was it was hard to sleep. The rooms with balconies were near the street..made it hard to sleep. Would stay here again, but away from the busy street!

This hotel was convenient to our stay, but incredibly noisy on Friday night with a lot of traffic outside. The room was a combination of updated and old fashioned features; a very comfortable bed, and a 20 year old hair dryer. The free parking was a real draw, but we will probably not stay here next year.

Small hotel newly remodeled, 40" flat screen in room. Close to restuarants. Great deal for $100/nite. I would stay there again when I go back to S.F.

Totally enjoyed the location, the people and the comfortable bed! Though we were on the "noisy" street side, it wasn't a problem through the night. Parking was free which is astounding in itself. We went, mistakenly to the Hotel next door when we arrived. It had the same location but the parking was $26 a day !!! That in itself was something! Lombard Motor Inn is located as close to Pier 39 as you can get without spending hundreds of dollars per night for a hotel. It's only about five blocks from P39. If you're not up to walking, there are plenty of public transportation options, and with the amount of money saved by staying there you can afford to drive to the pier and pay for parking. […] As for the hotel, it was fantastic. No, it's not a fancy destination spot unto itself. There is no pool, workout room, restaurant, etc. There is, however, plenty of free parking (an absolute plus in SF) securely located in their own garage, an exceptionally clean room with nice furnishings, private balconies, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept it. My only complaint was the road noise. The hotel (like all hotels on Lombard) is located right along the street and consequently, the room was pretty noisy from early evening until around 11:00 pm. The neighborhood seemed pretty safe. There are lots of people walking, biking, jogging, etc... There is a convenience store next door to the hotel and a number of eateries across the street and within walking distance. I will definitely stay at the Lombard Motor Inn again. Läs mer

I found this hotel to have a great location, however there aren't many stores/restaurants etc nearby except for some very expensive convenience stores. The room that we were put in had no view at all and looked out to another building, unsure if this was as we had pre booked. There is free parking which is a plus however it is very tight to get out […] of. The rooms were spotless and very large and nice to stay in. Besides the minor issues I enjoyed this hotel. Läs mer

Lombard Motor Inn exceeded my expectations. I was looking for clean, safe, and inexpensive. Nothing fancy, just a place to stay. It was that. But additionally, the memory foam bed was extremely comfortable. And the location was extremely convenient. An easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, a couple of blocks from "Crooked Street", and several bus lines within […] a block. There have been comments about noise. I was in one of the rooms at the back of the building and it was quiet enough -- an occasional siren from the street or sounds from the hall, but not bad. There was zero view from the window (looked at another wall), but I'm not there to hang out in the room. The only minor issues -- water pressure was really low (maybe that's an SF conservation thing) and the elevator seemed a little flaky. It worked, it just seemed to get confused. It would stop and pick up passengers on the way up that wanted to go down. I would stay there again. Läs mer

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered my room had a balcony with a view of the Golden Gate bridge. You can't beat this place for the value. Its clean, nice rooms, and a pretty good location (less than s mile walk to the heart of the wharf)

Stayed at the Lombard Motor Inn during the weekend of the 2013 Rock-n-Roll 1/2 Marathon. The hotel is older, but was clean with comfortable, memory foam topped beds. The location was perfect for walking to a number of establishments for food and drink as well as the start/finish for the event.
