Basically, I have a pleasant stay at Suriawingse Hotel but conditions on many areas still need to improve. Location wise is fine except overall appearance of the hotel lobby/main lobby are not up to standard yet.

Whilst this hotel is in a great location for the night markets nd taxis the condition is dreadful. The bed is as hard as a rock, the whole hotel smells damp and musty. We stayed in a delux orchid room which was spacious. It is in a very poor state and this was supposed to have been a renovated room. The staff are very friendly nd there are plenty of […] them, but don't ask for more than 1 coffee in your room per day. We asked for more coffee and sugar but were told no. The tour desk ( girl sitting at table in the lobby) was very nice nd helpful organizing tours but we were told they could not get us a guide for one of the tours but the driver could speak English. When he arrived he was great for the day but he couldn't speak English very well so most of the tour we were going blind :) Overall I would not recommend staying here till all the hotel is renovated. great location near night markets and shops. Staff very friendly and room well appointed, although without balcony. The pool was being rebuilt and will be out of action for a while. Convenient if you plan to spend time in the night bazzar. Central Airport Mall provide free shuttle pick up and drop off at this hotel which is very convenient. We had 4 rooms booked and the air con of 1 room is not cool enough but too cold for 1 other room. The pool facility is under renovation and the hotel provides free shuttle to an from Eco Resort […] to use its pool which is quite bare. This hotel will change to Movenpick chain in September. My nephew and I rated it as the best during our Bangkok-Chiangamai-Phuket tour. We were upgraded to deluxe once we got in. The location is the finest to what we wanted to do in Chiangmai - basically eat and relax. The main part of the hotel is being upgraded and the smell of old carpet was heavy but teak decor isopulent. This hotel is in the process of being taken over by Movenpick and is undergoing remodeling, which is probably why I got such a good rate. The carpets were old and the walls need repainting, but the room was clean and very comfortable. Got upgraded to a luxury room with breakfast included; the restaurant had continental, American and Thai offerings.

Well it would have been a nice room if it would be a room as advertised, however they are renovating so the room was defenitly not like advertised, the breakfast was always cold- cold sausages, bacon or even 1/2 frozen chips every day regardless of the time, if you want hot just ask for them to cook you eggs and toast your bread. At time of my stay, part of the hotel is undergoing renovation and reconstruction with its original main lobby partitioned. Present lobby, though nice and functionable, was remote from the original which is worsened by poor indication/direction cauing a sense of loss and abandon. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at... It stinks... Literally! The hotel and room smelled very bad. The bed sheets were very dirty huge stains and black spots and foot prints - I had to ask for the sheets robe changed... Everything is old, the style the carpets, the furniture the bathroom etc. The hot water was not constant, so during […] my shower got both burnt and cold chok... The toilet did not flush, it overflowed and the water spilled out on the bathroom floor. Nice hotel, presently undergoing renovation in one wing. I stayed in the old wing and found the room to be a real treat, VERY large, king size bed, sitting area. Located AT the main intersection for the Night Market. They serve a buffet breakfast which provides a basic menu for western and asian preferences. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to Night Market... Pretty much the only Pro for the hotel other than the staff trying really hard and being very polite. Arrived to find out room smelled of mold and mildew. AC unit was falling out of the ceiling due to water leakage. Causing mold and mildew all over the ceiling. As well as the chair below it. Garbage can below was full of trash […] and water.... Cushion was set in the window to dry. No wireless access as advertised. Only on certain floors. Mattresses are not as advertised. Old no name brand. Not pillow top. Just back from Chinag Mai holiday in early Jun 2011. Hotel location is excellent as the night market is located 10M away. Room especially at the 6th floor is big to accomodate a family of 4 to 5 pax. The hotel was all that they said, except it was under renovation in the front half. Though this did not worry us at all (no noise or dust), there was no gym and no swimming pool available. I would highly recommend this hotel for security, central location, quality of food, and reception services. The room was always cleaned perfectly every day, with […] free water supplied. Great bathroom, large and all the knick knacks like shampoo supplied, if you need them. Large shower with plenty of hot water. The usual high prices for cleaning your clothes, but plenty of wash and fold places, right outside very cheap per kilo. Get it ironed too for another couple of dollars. Everything is really close. Small 711 type shop across the road. Massage across the road is clean and on the up and up. Small motorbike hire is cheap per day (24hrs). Petrol cheaper than Australia. We rented bikes and rode out to the hot springs for the day. We booked the full day Elephant trek tour with the hotel tour desk after getting our prices outside. They came in dearer, but I asked if they could match the price, and they agreed. Breaklfast was great with lots of choice. I would stay there again for sure, if the prices were as good as we got. this hotel supassed expectations. Very friendly staff . Travelling with teenage children, we had adjoining rooms which were very spacious. Our walk-in wardrobe was bigger than previous hotel in Bangkok. currently being renovated there was no swimming pool, but this the only downside. Upon bookin they were unable to provide the double room as per booking, the following night we were upgraded to an executive king bedroom. Clean sheets and towels everyday but no sign of a vacuum cleaner during our 8 night stay. All carpet, including the lift, were visibly dirty and stained. The shower, in both rooms we stayed in, was not designed correctly […] and drained out of the shower to the waste behind the toilet, there was considerable mould in the shower. Breakfast was just okay, little catering for westeners,fruit/yogurt, toast and eggs was available, some muesli would have been great. It is right at the night markets. We stayed family suit room at 546 and 548. My aunt and uncle stayed deluxe room at 742 Positive points Overall, it was ok because room was large, good location for sightseeing and price. Hotel stuff were really nice and friendly. Deluxe room is not such a large but all facility went well. Negative points Room 546 was dark, really dark This room […] was large but they have just 1 table light. I wanted to take some lights from my room which room No 548 but room 546 don't have enough electrical outlet on wall. My parents couldn't read book before sleeping. This room can not call as suit room because electrical outlet position is not designed at all. For making tea at room, we have to move kettle front of window because just only 1 outlet in this room. Room 548 was poor for shower area,really not well‐drained shower area. it was looking that I made tsunami in all for bath room. I asked for fixing about it but nothing happened, Telephone to outside not went well... I am not sure to stay in family suit and suit room but I will think about to stay deluxe room for next time. The hotel is in a great location literally on the Night Bazaar Street with a Starbucks in the building and McDonalds, Burger King and an array of Thai Restaurants on its' doorstep. The decor in the foyer and external appearance is extremely dated without have had a makeover since construction circa 1960's. We were given a room in the new wing (approx […] 10yrs old) due to renovation of the hotel prior to a rebranding late 2011. The pool is currently closed although a scheduled shuttle is available to use another hotel pool approx 10 mins away but we found this a bit of a hassle. The room was extremely large, bathroom clean and overall comfortable. Minor issues such as superficial stains on the carpet and marks on the walls were easily overlooked. ナイトマーケットからのアクセスは抜群です。 調度品含め、全体的に古いですが掃除はきちんと出来てます。シャワー浴びて寝るだけなら問題ありません。 ベッドの角が鋭角、且つ、マットがベッドより小さいため脛をぶつけてとっても痛い目にあいましたｗ 歯ブラシセットがありませんが、ハウスキーピングに頼めば無料で貰えます。 大きなスーツケースは台の上で開けません。 ホテル案内図などの説明書が室内に一切なかったので、事前に確認をお勧めします。 コスパはバンコクと比べ今一歩かなと感じます。 ホテルでタクシー呼んで貰うと無条件に高いです。立地は良いですからホテル外で交渉しましょう。

チェンマイ出張の際にいつも使う向かいのホテルが1日だけ満室で取れなかったので、1泊だけしました。 改装中のため裏口からチェックイン。廊下は殺風景でかなりくたびれている。部屋は改装済みだがとにかく暗い（照明が少ない）。 朝食は、種類はそこそこ多いが食べたいと思うものがほとんどない。 改装工事をつねにどこかでやっているようで早朝から打ったり引き摺ったりの音が響く。 できれば改装工事が完全に終わるまでは、避けた方がよいと思います。　間違えても新婚旅行で使ったりしないように。

今回非常にお得なキャンペーン価格でしたので利用しましたが、ホテルの一部が工事中で、レセプションデスクも正面玄関ではなく、脇の仮の出入口にありました。そのため予約したタクシーが待ち合わせ場所を間違える等の不都合が若干ありました。また、プールが使えなかったのが残念です。しかし、部屋はアップグレードしてくれて、とてもきれいな部屋でした。バスルームからテレブが見れるのが最高です。また、エクスペディア予約だと、通常有料のインターネットが無料で利用できるので、便利でした。スタッフの方も親切で、気持よく利用できました。

Chambres très vieillottes, sales (traces de sang un peu partout), moquettes à changer d'urgence, salle de bain horrible.. Il faut surtout dire aussi que l'hotel est infesté de moustique, prévoir une bonne bombe et une prise pour passer une nuit plus ou moins correcte;;;mais les parties communes sont un enfer. Le wifi ne marchait pas dans la chambre […] alors que la description faisait état du wifi dans les chambres... Le premier jour de mon arrivé, il n'y avait pas de coffre fort et pas d'eau chaude mais après une discssion avec la reception (j'ai simplement dit que si quelques choses disparaissaient dans ma chmabre ils serait tenu pour responsable) tout est rentré dans l'ordre rapidement. Je déconseille aussi les services du TO à l'entrée de l'hotel (pour les excursions) pour son incompétence et sa mauvaise foi Sinon le personnel est à l'écoute et agréable. La situation géographique est idéale car situé au coeur du marché de nuit. Je pense que cet hotel n'est pas à la hauteur des étoiles qu'il possède et que vous pouvez trouver moins cher et de meilleurs qualité. Läs mer

A 10 minutos de la zona antigua de la ciudad y ubicado en pleno mercado nocturno. Actualmente tiene una parte en reformas y nos alojaron en la parte antigua. Habitación amplia y cómoda aunque el mobiliario ya esta algo anticuado. En general nos gustó.

禁煙なのと夜市に近いのとNHKのTVが映ったのは大変よかったです。 ただ、全体的に大変蚊が多く、その対策として乾電池式の蚊取などで対策をしないといけないくらいです。 ホテル側では殺虫剤やそのようなものはないようなので、忌避剤を身体に塗りたくるしか方法がないようです。 蚊取り線香は煙だし、あまり効き目がないようです。

大晦日の宿泊でガラディナーを「強制徴収」されないことが条件でこのホテルをチョイスしました。場所的には申し分ありませんが、なにぶん設備が古く、いただけないところが多分にあります。特に部屋にセーフティボックスが無い事と、かび臭さが強かった点がいまいちです。朝食は日本人でも食べられるレベルです。フロントスタッフは全員英語が話せますが、タイ式？ですので対応はゆっくりです。ホテルと空港間の料金は一人150バーツと割高です。ホテル前でタクシーを捕まえたほうが１台100バール前後で行けますので複数の利用ならタクシーがよいと思います。全体的に設備面で我慢できるならコスト的にはお得なためお勧めできると思います。
