The Village Inn is just at the bottom of the road from many of the wonderful shops and restaurants Blowing Rock has to offer. It is extremely clean with a super friendly staff. "Beautiful ice chest"
Everything in the hotel was more than OK, except for one thing: the Heat/Cold A/C is not something you would use to raise the room temperature if outside it is freezing: the hot air in your face doesn't let you breath and the noise won't let you sleep - and if you turn it off, the beatiful cabin turns fast into a nice ice box with a wooden ceiling.

We chose The Village Inn because of high ratings and it is pet friendly. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfy. You couldn't tell it was a pet friendly room because it was spotless. We will definately be staying there again!
the bed was too soft. My feet were above my head, and I hate that. Good atmosphere, nice people, conveniently located. I would stay there again

"Strong odor"
When we arrived, there was a strong, unpleasant odor that appeared to be a room deodorizer. Very strong floral scent that really never left the room, and we really never got used to it. I complained but the fellow at the front desk said all the rooms smelled that way.

Excellent location. Walking distance to downtown and several different restaurants. While this hotel is pet friendly, it's not styled for children. Also, the nearby restaurants are not geared (or priced) for children. Overall, a very nice stay. "Third time to Blowing Rock...we'll stay here again"
We arrived and immediately upgraded our room to a King with Hot Tub. So worth the upgrade! The manager of the property was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, coffee available all day, and the snack reception in the afternoon was very nice. About 1/4 mile to downtown where all of the shops are located - very nice scenic walk. "The Villige Inn"
The bed was very confortable as the pillows. The Hotel staff was good. The down sides were all outletts were 2 prong and my laptop charger would not plug in. Compaired to other places we have stayed in the N.C mountains, the room and bathroom was smalll compaired to the cost. The neighboring "Night Club" was LOUD until after 1:00am Saturday evening

"Quaint Place"
We have stayed in Blowing Rock many times. However , never at The Village Inn. Now that we have stayed we wish we had stayed there before. There is no doubt that we will be coming back. The decor was beautifully done. A combination of wood and designer ceramic stone. The bathroom was magnificent. Especially the fixtures. Great Stay !
Room was o k but the bathroom was very small. The bed was uncomfortable. I would not recommend this Hotel to any one I know. How ever the staff [check in] was very friendly.

I had selected this hotel after searching online. I also received a recommendation from a friend. I was very pleased with the front desk staff. She was sweet and helpful. The room was great! Friendly, helpful staff, cozy, attractive room with king sized bed. Very attractive lodge, where good quality wine was served late afternoon, and good selection for breakfast in morning. It is also very convenient to the main part of town, as well as many other attractions in the area. We'd definitely consider it again!
The Village Inn in Blowing Rock, NC was a very good choice for my wife and I. The receptionists were very courtious and helpful. Excellent continental breakfast. Have already recommended it to several of my friends and family.

We were very disappointed in the Village Inn. They cater to families with dogs, never outlined when I booked. The room was small, the bathroom tiny and furniture had been badly scratched by previous guests with dogs. We go often to the area, but will never book a room again with the Village Inn.

"Very Comfortable Accomodations"
We met family in Boone for a visit and to see Horn in the West. We found our room very comfortable and clean with a country or mountain look. Desk clerks were very friendly and helpful with needed information about restaurants, etc. We had a nice deck with Rocking Chairs. Our bed was extremely comfortable. Shower quite refreshing and clean. Plenty of […] pillows and towels were available in the room. Adequate Continental + breakfast with hot and cold cereals, waffles, toast, fruit, yogurt, muffins and pastries with excellent coffee and juice. "Pretty good all things considered"
This hotel is a little weird. Some aspects of it are really nice (like the bathroom- very upscale and expensive looking) while others are very mediocre (bed linens were older and worn looking) The decor is kind of all over the place too. All in all it was good. The location was great, the room was clean, it was very affordable, and the people were friendly. […] The wine and cheese reception in the afternoon was a nice touch but breakfast could have been better. And it seemed weird that there were no newspapers in the hotel. My husband had to walk to the gas station across the street to get a paper to read with our morning coffee. All in all I would reccomend and would stay there again. This hotel has obviously been around for a while, but must have recently undergone extensive renovations. The rooms were small, but very cozy and comfortable. There were a lot of nice touches... We didn't bring our dog this time, but it's good to know that they are pet friendly. We'll definitely stay there again...

The room was an awesome suprise! The pictures of the place were accurate. The only thing that could've be considered as "misleading" was the size of the room. The room was fairly small, but provided all the amenities you needed! The continential breakfast was great! The only complaint I would have would be the cleanliness of the room. Upon my arrival, […] I noticed that there was a used towel on the back of the bathroom door that was probably overlooked by housekeeping. When checking out, I looked under the bed to make sure I didn't leave anything and noticed a receipt that wasn't mine. Great experience. Went up over a weekend with fiancee. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was very nice. Only complaint is the size of the rooms are very small. That said it fit our needs very well. Close distance to everything in Blowing Rock, and Twigs next door is an excellent place to eat. Definitely recommend.

Although baths were updated and flat screen TV the room had a moldy and musty oder to it. There is too much dampness in the room. Felt old. No desk or table in room to work or use laptop. Offered breakfast was not much.

We went to Blowing Rock for a weekend get-away and stayed at the Village Inn for the first time. The room & bathroom were very nicely decorated and we found our accommodations to be quite cozy. The only drawback we found was the bed. It was very soft and seemed to be on the old side. We both have back problems, so it was difficult to get and stay comfortable. "Beautiful hotel"
The hotel room was beautiful. It looked like a room in a hunting lodge with laminate floors and throw rugs. The bed is very soft. I like a soft bed, so I found it very comfortable. The room also had a great shower and a semiprivate deck with two rocking chairs outside. The flatscreen television, while great, has a bright blue lighted power button that […] illuminates the room when the tv and lights are off. It's like a nightlight. Also, the air conditioner is high up on the wall and blows right on the bed. The only mirror in the room is a small one in the bathroom. The breakfast is continental and they have cheese, crackers and cookies in the afternoon. The hotel is on a very busy highway. They also allow pets, so my first night, I was between two rooms with dogs who liked to bark. The hotel is, however, close to everything, including some great restaurants. gute Lage, verkehrsgünstig aber ruhig wenige Meter bis zum alten Ortskern, nette Läden und Parks interessante Wandermöglichkeiten zu den Wasserfällen
