I loved this hotel. I have stayed here before and each time has been a great experience. The only thing that I do not like is the location of the hotel. It is not walking distance to all the shops & restaurants on Collins. In fact, a roundtrip taxi will cost you approximately $20 + tip. Our room (1811, I think) was wonderful but there were nagging problems that I want to bring to your attention: Hallway light burned out in hotel corridor (near elevator) "Exit" sign near our stairway in corridor hanging out from its mount, wires showing. (Fire code violation!) Bathroom sink (master bath) drain very slow to drain Toilet "runs" after […] use (I had to jiggle jiggle handle to stop) Light bulb burned out in bathroom. I expected a much nicer experience based upon all of the hype about the hotel and the high price of the rooms. Be prepared. It's a zoo of tourists and lookie-loos. Reminded me of a newly opened Vegas casino where the place is just filled with tons of people that just want to take a look around. Frankly, it was just "ok". Not impressed. great location and service all around

I booked thru Hotels.com and thought that was the final price. Thwy then charge you 30 dollars for free internet, tv, etc.... This was not an option but a charge. Keep that in mind. Also, parking is over 30 dollars as well but that was expected.

LIV was one of the best clubs we went to. Gotham and Vida all had excellent food. It was nice to have food and entertainment in our hotel.

My new bride an I stayed here for a night. Very nice. If you want to have a good time be prepared to spend at least 500 a day. Or do what the veterans like myself do an bring a small cooler. Its a little tacky but so is paying 34 for 2 weak drinks.

Shouldn't be that way. Lots of noise from the next door, means there is thin wall.

The Fountainebleau is a very fancy, high class, beautiful hotel. It is worth staying there at least once, just for the experience. The decor in the lobby and the gorgeous pool area make it amazing. The room had a Mac computer with (free) internet access, which was nice and very convenient. The staff was friendly everywhere we went, even after waiting […] twenty minutes to check in. However, the rooms were lacking the basic luxuries you expect at a high end hotel. There was no in room coffee maker or robes. The hotel's location was far away from pretty much everything else in Miami Beach. We had to take a taxi to South Beach, it was too far to walk. Overall, I'm glad we stayed there and it was certainly worth the price, but I don't think I will stay there again. Läs mer

I was not able to sleep all night some teen next door did not stop talking so laud,screaming and the music lo laud...I called security 4 times,but they say that they couldn't do nothing about it.everything else was ok..

Stayed at the hotel over Labor Day weekend and was not impressed with any of it. While the hotel itself has its own hip style, it does not live up to a five star rating. The hotel was mobbed with young adults who obviously were there to party in the club scene. Staff actually indicated that guests would book five or six to a room thus, affording the […] slightly higher prices that a traditional 5-star commands, and would just park their bags in the room and party all night. We did not even go down to the pool as there clearly were no lounge chairs available and the pool itself was completely packed with party/drinking guests. In addition, the hotel made guests wear wrist bands to be able to enter the pool area. Clearly they were trying to stop local crashers from coming in. Not my scene. Not suitable as a family hotel or for an intimate get-away. Could not get dinner reservations for a table at any of the restaurants even though we were guests of the hotel. Room itself was nice. Well appointed. On check-out the housekeeping staff knocked on our door before 9:00 despite our having the "do not disturb" sign out and the fact that we were checking out that day. Läs mer

Overall, I enjoyed my trip to the Fontainebleu. Pros: Beautiful pool, private beach, plenty of restaurants, nice decor, nice hotel bar, good location Cons: Expensive drinks, offer no help getting into LIV despite spending a lot to stay there.

Restaurants in hotel WAY too expensive; drinks of all kinds WAY too expensive. Nothing close by hotel to walk to. No in room amenities, such as coffeepot, etc. Would not go back.

Disappointed that the hotel was flooded with general public wanting to get into the two disco's they have which meant that the bar area and the seating in the lobby was like a zoo. There was no area reserved just for hotel guests which was a shame as we would have loved to have had a few drinks in the bar. This also made us more aware of the security […] needed in the hotel as you had several hundred people walking around in the hotel who weren't staying there! The chaps deciding which taxis could be driven to the front door were incredibly rude and arrogant. This Hotel is really nice. Gourmet restaurants and services. But with good services and food you will have a "healthy bill". Beautiful pools and restaurants and the beach is right there. This hotel is a little far from South Beach but if you dont mind long walks you're fine. If not, there are cabs, valet parking, and the bus stop is less than 1 minute […] away. The only thing I didnt like was the room service. House keeping didnt come until after 5pm. I came back from the beach and my room still wasn't clean. Great customer service, from the valet attendants to the consierge (Vladamir) and the front desk staff all where very attentive to detail. the ammenities and restos are fabulous .Great all around atmosphere. will return

we just returned after a four night stay at fontainbleau miami, it was an excellent place for a special occassion marking mys son's graduation from school. the hotel overall is great, mother nature cooperating it is an excellent and grand place for water activities. when we where there, almost every afternoon there was scattered thunder storms and we […] had to get out of the pool/beach. the private beach was very convenient, though the jetski rental was very expesive compare to private rentals in the same nibourhood. the water was much cleaner than we expected and blue. we only tried vida restaurant for breakfast, it was very good. staff overall was excellent. the only complaint i had was about the bathroom, i had expected a little bigger considering the overall size of the hotel. i did not rent a car, which was a mistake, the taxi drivers in miami overall gets a grade F, this was the only bad part about overall trip. hotel is is conviniently located, everything is reachable with in 10minutes. we had dinner at fago de chao, a movie and para sailing , all with in 10 minutes. overall i will recommend this place. This hotel needs to be closer to South Beach. It is very nice but also very expensive. The hotel does not provide any type of in-room amenitites. You have to buy everything from the shops within the hotel and the shops are rather expensive. The lobby converts into a lounge/bar each night while everyone waits to get into the nightclub. If you happen […] to get a city view room above the entrance to the hotel the vehicles honking their horns waiting to enter/exit the lounge/nightclub will keep you awake until the night club closes. We were located three rooms away from the elevator and could hear each time the elevator stopped on our floor. You could clearly hear the other guests talking as they walked or yelled down the hallways each night after midnight. Restaurants served exquisite food. The room was extremely comfortable and service was excellent through out the hotel. My wife reported that the spa was one of the best spa experiences she has ever had.

The hotel is huge and has like 5 different buildings, make sure you stay in main building "Chateau" which is newly renovated and has all amenities (gym, restaurants, bars, night club, front desk, etc) Its a big a hotel and service can sometime be slow, but overall its a great hotel for the price. Consider Delano hotel when doing your research.

Amazing hotel, wonderful staff, really enjoyable. But the restaurants are so over priced. $18 for a class of not so good red wine is a rip off. Great hotel but just a money making machine. I would go again because I had the money to pay for it.

Stayed at the Fountainbleu for 4 nights and it was incredible. Right from check in (we got upgraded to a junior suite in Tresor, simply cause I asked), to room service, to staff, to the food, drinks, amenities and the hotel property itself- it was all a 5 star experience. The food & drinks are pricey, but we're from NYC so $18 drinks didn't surprise […] us as much. The hotel staff was very attentive and helpful- we ordered breakfast in the room on all days and it was outside our door in under 20 min. The spa and pool were heaven! I rented a room for my daughters birthday , and the hotel at first booked two rooms ,when only wanted one. Then I wanted ocean view i didnt get that at all, the room was a very small room no ocean view and was charged a suite price,. I will never book any of my family memebers there again.

Was not impressed with this hotel at all. Maybe back in the 50's but not by today's standard. Staff could not be bothered.. Room was "old"

While the hotel is beautiful, service is awful. Everything takes an abnormally long time: valet, drinks and food by the pool, room service, front desk/concierge attention.

Glamorous and often luxurious. Fontainebleau is the perfect Miami Beach resort vacation. The expansive size of the hotel and it's brand new fabulous add ons are what allow families and a prevalent 20 something party crowd to blissfully coexist. *Very crowded on the weekends. Year round I hear. Reserve your pool side bed or cabana in advance. *The restaurants […] are all excellent - in particular the Italian one where the $25 "award-winning" spaghetti seems like a great deal when it is melting in your mouth. A must for every FB diner! *I didn't get to the spa but it's 40,000 square feet. Must be something delicious in there. *In room dining coffee is weak and not recommended but cafe Solo next to the main lobby serves up a respectable cup. *Service is really good, mostly great, but always was a tad slow. *The main lobby is glamorous, opulent, and photogenic. The food/drink service is extremely slow, but the pool and lounge area is amazing and more than makes up for it.

The hotel was beautiful. It is a huge place with tons of pools and a beautiful beach. The only negative about the hotel is that it is extremely expensive. It costs $20 for a drink.

I will never stay anywhere else... everything you need is right at the resort. And great service.

they charge me a movie i didnt order and the pool closs at 6pm .... they kick you out! out! i would never go back!

This hotel and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. I hate to say we will not stay here again however due to the pricing of items around the hotel. We expected prices to be high, but we paid different prices for the identical item at different places within the hotel. The price range was anywhere from $6.00 to $11.00 for the exact same item. This place is amazing!!! From the moment we walked in to the minute we left we were in awe. i was nervous bringing an 8 month old here but they have a great kids area and a ton of stuff to keep you busy all day and night. we had dinner at scarpetta and that was really good. Everything here is 5 star and we will go back for sure :)

Wonderful hotel. The staff was very pleasant. Valet parking available and very convenient. I stayed on South Beach two days prior and had a hard time getting my car valet parked and brought back. The Hotel is beautiful with very convenient beach access. Lots of pools and great restaurants in the hotel itself. Prices are high for food and drinks but that seems to be the same all over Miami. Huge lines at Arkadia and Liv so go early if you want to have a chance at getting in. Hope this helps.
