Ett mycket bra hotell med London - mått mätt.Tyvärr ingick inte frukost i priset och var rätt dyr att lägga till. Fantastisk service av concierge-personalen som ordnade så att vi kunde lämna in vårt bagage hos ett syster-hotell avresedagen - på så sätt sparade vi värdefull tid och hann åka London Eye utan stress!

Trevlig personal med en ok contineltafrukost för att vara i London. bra läge med nära till tunnelbana direkt in till centrala stan.

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Tillgodofyllde absolut våra önskemål. Ganska litet rum, men det gjorde inte så mycket då vi bara sov där. God och fräsch frukost. Hotellet ligger i lugna kvarter och nära kommunikation.Prisvärt.

"Bra läge, trevligt hotell"
Hotellet ligger en 2-3 minuters promenad från Russel Square tunnelbanestation, vilket är bra och nära, inte alls många stationer in till stadens centrum. Finns ett perfekt frukostcafé (Pret A Manger) utanför stationen för de som inte vill betala dyr hotellfrukost. Fick rum nr. 1 på markplan, stort och luftigt, dock lite kallt på natten såhär på våren. […] Tidigt på morgonen stördes vi av bygg-gubbar från byggnaden mitt emot som borra och hammra, men det är såklart bara tillfälligt. "Hotellet för den som INTE vill sova om natten"
Jag och min mamma bodde på detta hotell då vi var i London över en weekend. När vi kom till hotellet så erbjöd de oss en uppgradering, vilket vi blev glada för. Gå inte på den fällan!!! Det visade sig att ja, vi fick ett större rum men det låg i källaren. Vi gick och la oss ganska sent på kvällen och blev väckta kl 05.30 på morgonen av att det lät […] som en jordbävning. Vi låg och försökte koncenterera oss på att somna om men det gick inte för det lät typ som en dinosaurie på våningen över. Efter en stund klädde jag på mig och gick upp till receptionen för att fråga vad som stod på. Då visade det sig att de höll på att duka fram frukosten och göra i ordning med bord och stolar i matsalen. Jag meddelade att vi ville byta rum och att det inte kändes helt ok. Efter en stund när vi låg i våra sängar hörde vi även att vår granne i rummet bredvid gick upp och frågade vad som var på gång (varken jag eller min mamma är speciellt känsliga för oljud på natten men detta var extemt). Vi fick även höra att de fått den kritiken på rummen nere i källaren tidigare. Morgonen därpå fick vi veta att de skulle försöka att byta vårt rum till ett annat så vi fick packa ihop våra grejer och fick veta när vi kom tillbaka på kvällen att de hade fått ett rum ledigt dit de flyttat våra saker. De rummet var mycket bättre men det var fortfarande väldigt lyhört. Hotellet är gammalt och slitet och skulle nog må bra av en uppfräschning och byta dörrar som inte släpper igenom så mycket ljud. Det positiva med hotellet är att det ligger centralt och nära till t-bana, vilken gör att man även kan åka hela vägen till och från Heatrow utan att behöva byta vilket är bra med mycket baggage. Eftersom jag bott i London tidigare har jag sett ganska många hotell när mina vänner varit och hälsat på och jag måste nog säga att det här var under den normala standarden, även om den är lägre generellt i London. "The Clarendon - short walk to centre"
Good location. Easy transportation from Heathrow to Russel Square just 40 minutes. Walked to Leicester square/ Picadilly Circus and Oxford Street. Bus transport just arund the corner at the museum. The only negative was that it was difficult to get in to the bathtub. And if you dropped anything on the floor it rolled to the other end of the room.

Nära till tunnelbana men inte så nära centrum som man fick intrycket av vid sökningen av hotell i London. Men hotellet var helt ok. Tyvärr mycket dyr frukost som inte var värd pengarna.

"Litet trevligt hotell i Bloomsbury"
Från Heathrow tog vi Piccadilly Line (tunnelbanan) direkt till stationen Russel Square. Hotellet ligger på lätt gångavstånd från stationen. Det är ett litet hotell som samarbetar med flera hotell i samma kedja i kvarteret. Smakfullt, rent - och stort! - rum. Alla rum mot gården är större än de mot gatan. Lugn gata ett par kvarter från British Museum […] och gångavstånd till Covent Garden. Vi fann bara ett litet minus - mögeldoft i badrummet, som för övrigt var rymligt och snyggt. Läs mer

This is a very convenient hotel just a block or two from the tube station to Heathrow and the British Museum. We had a large and comfortable room at a basement level. It is a quiet and stately area, with parks at both ends of the street. I would stay there again.

Very comfortable room. Lovely bed, good shower, good location for theatre district. On the down side, our room was on the ground floor facing the street so there was some noise , and also there is no parking if you bring a car. My husband and I stayed at the CLarendon for one night in January 2012. We were warmly greeted at check in and given a free upgrade to a deluxe room. Our upgraded room was enormous by London standards, sparkling clean, and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was a large black and white marble tiled room with a very big tub. The only detraction was that the bed was more firm than we generally prefer, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable, and the windows do not block out the noise from the busy street below. We always travel with ear plugs, so the noise wasn't an issue for us. If you book this hotel just be aware of the firm bed and make sure to bring your ear plugs! Breakfast was not included in our rate and was very expensive, so I can't speak to the quality of their food. This excellent hotel next to British museum proved to be good value for the money. Breakfast is a bit expensive, but that is no problem since the area has a lot of nice small cafés that are open in the morning.

Not a bad hotel in not a bad place so I shouldn't say too many bad things about it. But I had one of the worst nights sleep here. They 'upgraded' me to the basement (which was nice) but beware if you get the same privilege. The location of the hotel is perfect! Central but quiet, and only 2 minutes to the British Museum and Russell Square tube stop. "the Hot and Sweaty Clarendon"
Title says it all.. An extremely small room (207) With only a small portable fan to cool down a sauna. The cleaning of the room was okay, but the topping up of the refreshment tray was non existent. So a 3 night stay with only 2 tea bags, just a little substandard. Will not be rushing back to The Clarendon.
Found the lovely room was spoilt by the constant noise overhead

Fabulous location (very close to Holburn & Russel Square tube stations), lovely hotel with sweet & helpful staff. We got upgraded unexpectedly for free to a room with a King size bed (we'd booked a normal double in advance) which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom was fantastic - so nice to have a decent sized bath with shower over. It was all tiled […] too which made it a cool retreat on such a hot day, to freshen up. Bed was very comfy. We stayed on a Sunday night and the hotel was so quiet during the night, I wasn't woken up by any other guests in the corridor - very unusual but welcome! I'd definitely stay here again. One thing though: breakfast VERY expensive but you're a stone's throw away from Southampton Row & Sicilian Avenue which both have a number of eateries so I'd check out that area unless you're loaded or you don't mind your company picking up the bill! The Clarendon is one of many "boutique hotels" in a whole block of hotels. It was very nice, and the staff was very kind to us. We had a toddler and they provided us with a "baby cot" (i.e., pack 'n' play) and a room upgrade, as the room we booked was way to small for the cot. The rooms were very nice! Our only problem with the hotel itself was the […] very narrow hallways and only one lift (elevator) for the whole building, but those problems are minimal. Recently stayed in a "family" room at the Clarendon Hotel - impressively large for a London hotel, with a king-sized bed and full-sized sleeper sofa and room to walk around; however, there was hardly any dresser/drawer place for clothes, just the closet and some bedside tables with small drawers. This is one of the Grange Hotel chain (they have several […] in a row on Bedford Place in Bloomsbury) - overall a step above many of the smaller hotels in the area, reasonably priced (especially considering how expensive London is these days) and a terrific location, but recommendation is tempered by the fact that they charged 10 pounds/day for wi-fi, breakfast was extra and absurdly expensive, 17.50 pounds for a Continental breakfast (don't bother, as there are lots of small and reasonably-priced places in the area), and it seemed nearly every other service came with a price. Perfect location for our overnight stay in London. Room was in basement but still bright. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Service was great and they had no problem keeping our bags while we went sightseeing. Good location and only a short distance to Covent Garden.

The Clarendon hotel is very close to British Museum and just few minutes walk from underground station. Our room was kind of small one, but clean and cozy. Breakfast was not included and was quite costly if you decide to have it in the hotel. It's a very good choice if you are in London for few days as a tourist and use the hotel just to sleep.

"Quiet location right on the edge of the West End"
Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff. I cannot fault any part of it in any way and thats before I paid the bill. The value is amazing to be so close to the West End and not get your wallet ripped to pieces. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Clarendon for two nights while in London to visit the British Museum, shop in the West End and take in a football match at Arsenal. We had a great stay, the rooms were of a very high standard and the staff very helpful and friendly. We will definitely use the Clarendon next time we visit the West End of London
