Mycket mycket bra hotell- Nämsta gång väljer jag samma hotell.

Inte riktigt 4* för rummet eftersom ljud från spolande toaletter och duschar i våningarna ovanför hördes väl. Rummets mysfaktor var låg - men helt och rent. Luftkonditioneringen funkade mycket bra. Läget är mycket bra - nära till nöjen och turistbussar. Längre väg till shopping dock - men Barcelona är en trevlig stad att gå i.

Decent hotel, comfortable stay thou the bed wasnt so comfortable. Close proximity to La Ramblas, clean room but i find it hard to understand why its 4 star rated. Possibly it the general norm around Europe but across Asia 4 star hotel have much better offering

Nice rooms, but a but small, nice bathroom with shower. Both rooms open dors as a false balcony. Close to Ramblas,old town abd the yacht harbour.

The hotel Medinaceli is excellent located: 100 meter close to the Ramblas in a relative quiet street and also right in the hard of old Barcelona surrounded by all the nice Tapas bars. It is clean, rooms are good. Price without breakfast is fair, breakfast with € 16 however relatively expensive. Great hotel for location, was clean and tidy, however the big let down was no air con. It would seem that it is a policy of most hotels in Barcelona not to have aircon on until the summer months. Which is all well and good but when its hot outside the hotel was quite stuffy and bedrooms at the top of the hotel especially ones with no outside windows […] get VERY hot! They kindly moved us to a room with an outside window which was great, although it took a couple of calls and hotels.com to sort it out as the hotel told us direct that they were full. We were a little frustrated when booking the hotel, since some of the old reviews were mixed in their quality. The hotel was really a surprise: Everything looked new ( newly renovated ), modern equipment, excellent bathroom and toilet, and a very nice and qualityminded staff. Situated just a 4-5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas, it was what we really wanted. […] We will for sure book this next time we are visiting Barcelona. In a nutshell: Perfect! Läs mer

We had a pleasant stay at Medinaceli. The location is conveniant and the service was good. The only minus was the noice from the inner courtyard at night when hotel guests were returning to the hotel.

good location, only a few blocks from Atocha the main train station. clean and convenient Negative aspect is the lack of WiFi. Internet has to be paid in advance at 6 dollars per hour, very expensive I most say. There are public computers in the lobby but you must pay to use them Surroundings very safe

The good: Good location, fine design and clean outside the rooms. The bad: Very small rooms, for the safe you need to pay 2 euros to get a key, late room service and minimal cleaning done, did not feel welcome at all.

The room we had was very small. There was very little soap, and to take a shower we had small gel packs with about 1/2 teaspoon of liquid soap inside. There were no facial tissues. The towels were minimal, but they were very absorbent so we could get dry. The only good thing about the room was the "experience shower" which had at least 4 sets of nozzles […] to spray every part of your body. However, the shower leaked into the bathroom floor and bypassed the built-in drain because the floor was not level. All in all, we were surprised that this place got a 4-star rating. The employees at the front desk were often aloof and acted as if they were underpaid. The breakfast was mediocre and the fresh fruit on the buffet was often tasteless. Läs mer

Amazing location in the heart of what there is to see in Barcelona. You're paying quite a bit for that, but it's probably worth it as you can walk wherever you need to. However, I was very disappointed to see no internet available at all in the hotel, let alone wifi. There was also no breakfast included. Given the steep price, that seemed a little too […] stingy. My only complaint would be the service. Upon check in, no greeting of welcome nor were we made to feel welcomed. Instead, with our backpacks still on our backs, we were asked for our passports, then handed our room key and told we were in room 210. The man at the desk never even left his chair. We felt more an imposition than people who were spending […] money in the establishment. It's too bad because the hotel aesthetically is very beautiful and modern and clean. very poor service , room almost falling apart , weak aircondition , broken toilet , had to call twice to get the room clean , bad smell in the room . chrage for everything ,internet , key to safe ... wont go back there the only good thing is location too expensive for what you get .

Yes... you have comfort and style plus immediate access to all the must see sites, activities and great dining while being culturally immersed in all that beautiful Barcelona has to offer.

Great location, but the hotel is far below expectations for a 4 star rating. The TV did not work properly (couldn't get CNN) They forgot to give me my wake up call and I almost missed my flight. The first room they gave me had a moldy smell and a big peeling leak on the ceiling and I requested a room change which they agreed. The breakfast was not good- […] stale bread, tasteless cheese. I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Medinaceli. I literally booked my room the day before my flight to Barcelona, and I was extremely lucky to find this Hotel. It was considerably less expensive than most other hotels that weekend, and I was very happy to find that the place was clean and very well-maintained. It's located just off La Rambla (and […] the metro) in a fun and convenient part of town. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. My only complaint was that there was no wifi in the room, but there's a great bar down the street called Monroe that offers wireless. I recommend stopping there anyway because it's a great bar with a friendly staff that plays really good music. Läs mer

Nice hotel. In the Gothic Quarter and convenient to the harbor, metro, Las Ramblas and great little bars and restaurants. The room was clean and just roomy enough. There is a faintly odd odor in the lobby, but luckily there is no reason to hang out there. Otherwise, we can highly recommend it.

The location was great (near subway, waterfront, Bario Gotic, Ramblas), but I found the beds/pillows really uncomfortable and woke up with a back/neck ache.

The room booked did not have air conditioning. We needed to change to another room on the first floor because it was sweltering on the third floor. The room noise was like living on the streets of the city. The surrounding area left us wondering who might bump into us and try to pick pocket our funds. The staff was helpful. The signs for the breakfast […] buffet in the hotel are misleading as they are not included in the price. The hotel is situated fairly close to the port but not to the Plaza Catalunya. Air conditioning does not exist in this hotel when we arrived. The first room on the third floor was stifling hot and we were transferred to a room on the first floor with cross ventilation but also cross traffic noises from shouting people and vehicles. We were told there […] are pick pockets nearby and from experience we did not feel safe at night. This is a noisy hotel in a marginal area. A sign was also posted for a buffet breakfast which we found was not included in our price. We were at a three star hotel prior and that was so much better. Close enough to Las Ramblas, but not too close. Nice view of the square from balcony. Helpful staff. Didn't get the breakfast -- better to go to the market just off Las Ramblas.

Excellent location. We could walk to the hotel from the airport bus (from placa de catalunya) in about 20 minutes. Beaches, Port Vell, Las Ramblas and Picasso museum also within walking distance. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and recently re-decorated, v.modern looking.

It was small but very close to the Waterfront. Many small restaurants nearby. Close to the "Hop on Hop off tourist buses for familiarizing yourself with the area.

Le niveau "4 étoiles" est usurpé. La propreté de la chambre n'était pas parfaite, les installations étaient usagées (traces d'usure, ampoule claquée, air conditionné défectueux). Mais ce qui choque, c'est la mesquinerie du service : devoir payer pour le Wifi ou le coffre fort de la chambre est inacceptable à ce niveau de tarif ; sans parler du frigo […] vide, ou de la télévision ne proposant que des chaines espagnoles. L'hôtel est proche de la mer et à quelques minutes du centre ville à pied. Une bouche de métro se trouve à quelques pas. L'accueil est très agréable, les chambres simples mais propres. Un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Bestemt ikke noget firestjernet hotel, men alligevel en fantastisk tilfredshed på grund af beliggenheden og prisen. Bookede med kort varsel et dobbeltværelse til cirka 105 euro. Hotellet ligger tre minutters gang fra Ramblaen og den fantastiske marina. Og fem minutters gang fra det skønne, gamle gotiske kvarter.

Hotellet hadde en grei og nær beliggenhet til sjøen/havnen. Rommet var ok. Flott bad med badekar.Frokost grei nok. Utvalget kunne vært større.

Hotellet var greit nok. God beliggenhet. Det som trekker aller mest ned er er en lite service- minded resepsjonssjef! Resten av personalet var hyggelig. Triste omgivelser.
