Loved the pool and DJ on the 16th floor! Great location for a Staycation and be in the midst of activity in downtown Dallas (since it is right across the street from the American Airlines Center).

Everything at the hotel was great, but the pool only gets sun for a few hours a day. Starting about 11:15 am you lose most of the sun on the balcony and don't get it back the rest of the day. It hits the pool again about 3:30 pm until sunset. Pool was warm and bar service was great. We just didn't get to lounge in the sun like we had hoped. We went […] to take advantage of early sun on Saturday morning and there was a work out class there from 8:30-9:30 am, but we hadn't seen that publicized anywhere. We had a great stay at the W Dallas. We stayed there to attend a hockey game across the street at the AA center. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and nice. Would definitely stay there again next time we are in Dallas.

Our room was very disappointing. However the customer service made up for it. When we first arrived the room had been completely saturated with their "W" Scent, and within 30 minutes I had a migraine. We called the front desk and they sent up an ionizer, which dramatically helped. Food in the hotel restaurant was mediocre (dinner), and the room service […] omelet we ordered the next morning was rubbery. Our room was too "industrial"; the open bathroom concept was too small and honestly awkward for me and my mother to share. Of course this was the bottom of the line "Wonderful Room" so I suppose you would have to spend quite a bit more to get a decent room. The hotel itself was very hip and cool, but obviously catered for a much younger crowd. If I want a party, I know where to find one. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. Läs mer

Overall the stay was very enjoyable but in my opinion simple is best. Upon trying to order room service the phone system was either to difficult to operate or just wasnt working properly, no dial tone and ten minuntes later thankful to cell phones we were able to reach the front desk explain our problem and order food. The View room was nice with a good view. However the room has a really weird layout - completely open bathroom - so if you order room service you don't want anyone in the shower. Also means you can't steam up the bathroom if you want - and if you like your room cold it makes for a chilly shower. The eye candy of the pros in the lobby was nice, but not […] really family friendly, of course kids wouldn't know what they were seeing really anyway. Sorry Craft has left, but the replacement restaurant was good. Room service and the service itself was really good. Definitely a place to stay if you seeing something at AA center. This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel, and it has fallen fast. The valet was unattentive and it was difficult to get parked to check-in. My room key did not work so I had to come back to the front desk. The shower had little water pressure (I also overheard the guy in front of me checking out stating he had all kinds of plumbing problems […] as well). I could not believe that they also charged me $2 per call for "toll free" numbers. Their main Ghost Bar closed down months ago. This now has to be about the worst W in their chain. this is really a 3 Star hotel these days and is WAY overpriced. Läs mer

If I pay for a premium room, I expect a premium room. Cramped space, limited towels & toiletries and no convenience of in-room refridgerator. Limited transportation alternatives. Room service was slow, mediocre and pricey. Pool was beautiful, but access to it and the view of the Dallas skyline was limited. I will not go back to this location.

Excellent hotel. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. I'd stay here again. Restaurant on site was good and reasonable in pricing. About a mike walk to convention center and right next to American Center.

Great views of Dallas, eclectic designs throughout, comfortable room and very attentive staff makes this a top choice when in Dallas. However with the Ghost Bar gone some of the bloom is off the rose.

This is one of the most unique and trendy hotels in Dallas, with a New York flair and feel about it. My wife and I loved every minute of our stay and will definitely pick this spot again the next time we are in town. My only complaint was with the Wi-Fi service. I frankly don't understand why you can get free Wi-Fi at McDonalds or Starbucks, but are […] required to pay $10 a night if you want Wi-Fi at an upscale hotel. I paid the $10 but the signal was so weak in my room that my iPad either wouldn't connect or would only stay connected for 30 seconds or so at a time. It was very frustrating. Läs mer

Our stay was a positive experience, however the hotel is overpriced. Sparsely supplied room, I.e. No shower caps or coffeemaker provided. Maybe could have requested them, but should have been provided at the price we paid. walking distance to concert venue. Very convenient with no other hotel nearby, so there is no competition. Hence the price.

The room reminded me of a college studio apartment (older). From the water going cold and warm, to the frig not properly cold... The bathroom was the worst. No room!

I stayed at the W Dallas Victory Hotel for two nights in August 2012. This is a very cool hotel, and I liked it a lot! I had a so-called Spectacular Room (meaning it is on an upper floor), and this was ideal for me, as it is away from the noise of the lobby and bar area. My king bed was VERY comfy! The hotel experience initially was fantastic the staff at check in we're very friendly and informative, after checking in we went to our room where to our dismay the air conditioning didn't work properly, after having the "engineer" come up three times to fix the A/C the hotels solution was to simply put a box fan in the room. The location, cleanliness of the rooms and the amazing beds make this hotel a must return to hotel. However next time without kids. Downside for us was only one chair in the room with two kids there was no space to eat dine in. We attended a concert at the American Airline center so the location in regards to that was perfect! Stay at any other hotel in Dallas and you will be a much happier person. If you look at the history of my reviews (if it's possible on here), I have never had a bad experience at a hotel. This was a terrible place. I had always wanted to stay at a W hotel. NEVER AGAIN. Dallas-Victory ruined this brand for me.

Wonderful hotel, maybe that's what the W stands for? The staff were so friendly, so helpful, and made you feel special. The security was amazing! The Ghost Bar was fun. The room was really nice but the open concept with the bathroom was a little different for four girls to use. Only 1 trashcan and it didn't have a liner which I don't understand. The […] toilet was in a separate room with a door but no trashcan in there which might be awkward for females at certain times of the month. The bed was superb with down-filled pillows. It was the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. The Bliss spa products were amazing. I went home and ordered several products online! The location was the main reason I choose this hotel. We went to a Coldplay concert at the AA Center. You only had to walk across the street to get there! No fighting traffic. I guess that in itself was worth the price. I wish it didn't cost so much so I could afford to visit often. The valet parking was expensive, I couldn't figure out what was actually charged. I went home to find an email that charged me an extra $100 for parking two cars overnight? I thought the valet parking cost $24/night. So I should have been billed $48. My reserved room type was not available upon check -in, but the receptionist (Angelika) handled it so well, that we did not mind at all. Staff was attentive and professional, in spite of the oversized crowd as a result of a nearby concert.

The hotel is beautiful, sleek and sexy.The room was very clean. The hallways are quiet. The staff was pleasant but not overly friendly. Some people may like that type of interaction but we prefer a more outgoing and attentive staff. We did not eat in the hotel since we had dinner plans elsewhere. We are not into the club scene, so we did not go into […] the Ghost Bar. I would think that as a guest of the hotel, the W would not charge the guest a cover charge to enter the Ghost Bar. I was disappointed that only one bottle of complimentary water was available in the room. I was also suprized to find that there was limited bathroom amenities available. Q-tips and cotton swabs would have been a nice touch. I have stayed in hotels with a lower price point and they offer plenty of complimentary perks with in the room ( mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, q-tips, cotton swabs, etc). The Bliss items were lovely. Our safe in the room was not working and security came immediately to help us out. He determined that it would take longer to fix and he safely stored our items in the hotel safe while we were out for the evening. We appreciated his prompt attention to our issue. This is a lovely hotel and I can only comment on our interaction with staff and our thoughts on the hotel room. Again, this is a very lovely hotel. Hotel is nice and fun. We got a room that the AC unit sounded like it was about to come off the wall. Didn't get much sleep because of it so check the unit before you go out for the night and want to crash when you get back.
