First of all, the hotel is located in an area where you have walking distance to both Taksim and the to the Sisli shopping area. The hotel is clean, the staff in friendly and very helpful arranging taxi, tours, restaurant bookings etc. But, the pool they have closes at 19.00 (for no reason as we can work out) so if you want to take a swim after a long […] day, forget it. Also we tried to bring some drinks up to the room and they would not let us. They took it and handed it back when we check out. They said it was a safety issue (which is posted around the hotel) but the minibar was very well stocked and you could be "unsafe" based on that. Läs mer

I was very pleased to receive an upgrade when I checked in to my hotel, which gave me a large lounge area, as well as the bedroom, which was great. The downside was that the wireless internet connection only worked when I sat on the floor in the hallway, making it rather impractical for work purposes, when I was there for business. The hotel location is quite good if you want to be in the city. We had too much noise from the ceiling since the event hall was the floor above us. Be sure to insist on a non-smoking room if it's important for you. smoking rooms seem more than the non-smoking ones. We were glad we got the room rate with breakfast. They had mentioned continental but […] it was more of a American/British breakfast put together. so enjoy the staff were really helpful for recommending things to do or give directions. get your exchange a few feet away from the hotel at an exchange place instead of the so many banks that are nearby. the banks buy your euro or dollar less than the exchange place. This hotel is quite close (walking distance) to the top brand shopping boutiques and also the biggest mall in Turkey: Cevahir forget having a car in istanbul, because it is too difficult to drive or park it. The location is fantstic, In the middle of all things. Metro was really a key factor for me. from there we were able to go anywhere in istanbule and attraction. The receptionist was nice and helpfull. The room was not as should be (the water was leaking from the bathtub, but they changed the room form me). not many places in the hotel to go to!! I stayed at this hotel with my family several times. But unfortunately this time the noise was terrible.I couldn't sleep at all!! 7 o'clock in the morning rooms being cleaned with some noisy employees.Slamming the doors one after another.(Not counting the customers!) I've been traveling over 35 years,this is the first time I felt so uncomfortable staying […] in this hotel. This was a very nice hotel, 4-5 stars. Got a good deal during off season travel. Staff was very pleasant. The doormen were all very helpful and very pleasant to talk with. The rooms were clean and nicely done. Of course have to realize, its listed as a 4-5 star hotel, so all extras cost a lot of money. Its in another country, so not many options for […] english TV, but had more than I was expecting and current TV shows from America. Biggest complaint would have to be location. It was far from all the usual sights, and it was about 15-20 min walk to Taksim square and the pedestrian street. On the map and previous reviews did not sound like it was that far, but in the end spent at least $20 a day on taxi cabs. Wanted to stay close to Taksim so that we could enjoy the nightlife, but it was not close enough and we were not motivated enough after a whole day of sightseeing to walk 20 mins to a restaurant/bar, or pay for another cab ride. As well we spent most of our time in Sultanhamet and spent the cab fair to get there everyday. So for us it would have been better to have stayed in Sultanhmet (maybe a little more expensive, but not if you consider cab fare daily) or in the middle of the pedestrian street near Taksim where all the shopping/bars/restaurants are located. But if you are looking for a very nice hotel with nice amenities, then the Ramada Plaza will do nicely. And if you do not need to go to those other areas, then again this is a good choice for hotels, or if you do not mind paying for cabs everywhere, check this hotel out. I think there is a lot to be said for walking out your hotel door and being in the middle of everything you want to do, especially in an amazing city like Istanbul where thousand year old buildings are next door to everything else. Also if you are a nonsmoker, make sure to ask for the nonsmoking floor. We got a smoking floor. Overpriced hotel aan een drukke straat. Klein zwembad met absurde regels. Matige service en matige voorzieningen. Er zijn in Istanbul veel betere hotels in deze prijsklasse. Is eigenlijk meer een 4 sterren toeristenklasse hotel.

Tolles Hotel, einzige Einschränkungen sind der schlechte Kaffee beim Frühstück und der Pool auf dem Dach. Letzterer scheint öffentlich zu sein und wird von den Bewohnern der Umgebung lautstark angenommen. I stayed 5 nights in this hotel with my family and colleagues. The hotel entrance is in front of Osmanbey station, so the location is nice to visit the new city area of Istanbul. To go to old city area where many sightseeing spots are located, we should use 3 lines (metro, cable, and tram) and it took around 30 minutes.
