The actual hotel was smokey smelling and musty. The room appeared clean so based on price paid that was ok. The area was terrible. Constant shady activity outside at all hours. Not very much parking. Did not feel safe outside by myself. Continental breakfast was terrible. Cold cereal and packaged muffins, watered down OJ. Not the most up-to-date, but we needed a room for cheap and close to downtown and it did the job.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location...it's fairly close to Old Market (3 min drive). However, prepare to bring your own sheets/blankets, bleach, and shoes/socks to wear in the room/shower. The cleanliness of the hotel rivals a college frat house....down to the USED CONDOM that fell out of our bed when we pulled the sheets back! […] The screens fell out of our windows, the shower had a red substance (blood?) on the curtain and black stains in the tub. I was in 2 rooms, a smoking and non-smoking. The only difference was the added ashtray in the smoking room. I will say, the people that run are nice, the accommodations, not so much. Läs mer

They say cleanliness is next to Godliness...not so much at the Econo-Lodge. I did not sleep under the sheets nor did I take a shower because it was that bad. I kept the lights on for fear of seeing unwelcome rodents and insects. My non-smoking room smelled horrible, in fact the whole establishment smelled of smoke. I will say that is was a close drive […] to the Creighton school of Dentistry, which was convenient for me, but I wish I wasn't so disappointed with the amenities so I could have had a good night's sleep, and a warm shower in the morning for my interview. book at your own risk! Close to Grace U where we went to see a musical. Not far from Old Market and Zoo. We were very satisfied with the price, cleanliness and location.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Convention Center and I received a discount for using the app on my phone. It was not worth the discount. I paid -- to stay one night in this place. When we first arrived, their lobby was okay. It seemed clean but was outdated, things were broken, and it smelled suspiciously like marijuana and incense. […] The clerks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. However, when we got to our room, it was horrible. The first problem was our lights wouldn't work, so they did come and fix them. Once they left and the lights were in, we were able to see the room in full glory. The bathroom was dirty, with mold in the bathtub, as well as the sink faucet was not attached to the countertop, so that when you turned it on the whole faucet would pull up in your hands. There was also mold/mildew in the mini fridge so we weren't able to use that. The bedspreads had cigarette burns in them. The worst part was the carpet, it was filthy. My two-year-old came up to me and handed me something that looked alarmingly very similar to a broken crack pipe that she found on the floor. I will never stay in an EconoLodge again. Next time I will pay the extra money to stay in a nicer hotel like FourStars or Sheraton. Läs mer

Very nasty place

I would not recommend this hotel. Other than being close to downtown, it is dirty and appeared that people off street were coming in to eat breakfast.

I stayed one night and I got bed bug bites. Room was clean but stinky. They just serve bread, juice, fruit and serial. No hot food.

The room we were first given was absolutely disgusting. There was urine in the toilet, soap that had been used already in the shower, milk in the refrigerator and what appeared to be blood on the wall. We asked for another room and were given one. We asked for a cot to brought up, and were never brought one after being told yes, they would bring one […] up. We ended up asking for a refund, but were not granted one. We left the hotel at 2am and went to another hotel. It was worth the time and money to feel comfortable with our surroudings. I was not expecting 5 star service, but at the very least a clean room. This is a downtown location, but it's not right by the cute shopping district. I walked down to the brick streets of the Old Market, but it took a little while (it's 8 or 9 blocks from anyplace you'd want to go eat or shop, from what I could tell). It was just a place to lay your head for the night. But it will not happen again. It was hair in the bathroom, the shower curtian had mold on it. The coffee pot doesn't go in the bathroom in front of the toilet gross. The elevator inspection certificate was expired 2005. PLEASE UPDAE THAT!!!!!! We arrived at our "hotel" at 10:30p.m. The only wat to talk to the teller was thru a Bullet Proof Glass Window...a sign of conditions to come. After checking in with my pregnant wife we were sent to our Room 3rd Floor. If you have option between using the Elevator or stairs (USE THE STAIRS) As we passed thru the Hallway leading to the elevator there […] was a Musky stench that hovered in the halls. No air so it was very HOT! We also noticed that nicely tucked behind each of the doors propped open on the way. Wads of trash just swept behind them and left for everyone to see. We arrived at the elevator and reluctantly proceeded to our floor. The elevator looked and felt as if it was from another time. Not more than 2 can fit and it had been last inspected 2005. We make it to our room only to find it is a SMOKING room. The smell hit you in the face mixed with the heat of the room. Cig burns were all over the bathroom counter (from the 60's) and you could see next to teh outlet for the air unit where it had caught on fire at one time and the outlet never replaced. Also never replaced were the curtains hanging above them, showing off a black smudge from one end to the other. We found a wooden door in the wall at floor level that had no lock and contained broken hidden glass and pipes. Nice if you have children that could find that. Although I dont advise ever letting your child step foot in this hotel. After a long night of travel we just wanted to sleep. We had to open our 3rd floor window to breathe and to no surprise there wasnt a window guard so thank goodness if the outlet sparked another fire we could jump out the window without any trouble. As we lay in bed we come to find the remote doesnt work to the tv. And our bed was missing its fitted sheet so throughout the night we got to lay on the bare mattress which was disgusting. I stayed here Tuesday night and as much as I tried I could not get any sleep. There were noises outside my door and the bedding wasn't the greatest either. The only good thing about this hotel was the fact that it was close to Greyhound.

This hotel is located in a great central location of downtown Omaha, but this place has a lot to be desired. If you are on a budget and don't care about a nice looking hotel, having a clean nice smelling room, shuttle service and a decent free breakfest you will be a happy "camper." Good hotel with cheap prices and good location. Right downtown in the old market. Walkable distance to the bars. Not the most high class place but it gets the job done.

The hotel was a good price and close to desirable areas, but located on the fringe of very undesirable areas, with a big, open parking lot that was not very restricted, and completely unrestricted access to the building. It was somewhat lower quality than what I expect from their hotels. The breakfast offered the following day (Friday) was not Lenten […] friendly, unfortunately, in the hot food items. Noise carried, and this is in a noisy area of the City. No visible security cameras indoors, or in the parking lot, except one on the front door. . . I would rather pay a little more for a comfortable stay. There were no restaurants, drug, or grocery stores within safe walking distance after dark. Very inconvenient in that regard. Läs mer

The hotel was good for the price. It was 1 block from the Joslyn Art Museum and 1 block from the Western Heritage Museum. It was within walking distance of the Old Market, however the walk was 8-10 blocks.

Omaha downtown is very small, good hotels sit in the Northeastern part. This one is at the west side of the town, however, it is very close to anywhere in downtown area. The city is very clean and safe. I went to some small parks at night, it was great. There was no beggars on the street, everyone was friendly. I would not recommend this hotel at all!! Our room had bed bugs and a friend of our's who stayed down the hall had mouse turds in his bed. I have NEVER in my life stayed in such a terrible hotel. The only positive thing I have to say is that it was close to the Qwest Center

What can I say, it's an Econolodge. Dirty sheets and towels. Loose faucets smoky non-smoking room.

Horrible experience, site was very misleading when viewed on-line, never slept I was concerned with all the noise and strange people walking in and out at all hours of the night. I was about to call the police on more than one occasion. I really believe that the place is actually a crack house, more women where picked up and dropped off by one particular […] van. I arrived after dark and the was little lighting to find hotel or feel safe walking to the door. Soda machine gave us hot drinks. The refridgerator barely cooled the cans. My room was on the side next to the street (busy street) and was very noisy all night. I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes for an employee to arrive(and the bell at the desk […] did not work) to check out and then they did not want to give me a receipt! Läs mer

It's a shabby hotel in a weird place in Omaha. It was cheap but it brings around a lot of strange people as well...
