"Hotel in San Marcos"
The hotel had ants. I called the front desk about them and was told there was nothing they could do about it. Room key did not work and once again was more of an inconvenience to them than a paying customer.

I could hear every footstep, every door closing, etc. From my room. I would not stay here again because I could not sleep.

Great location and great room. I will be staying here next time I'm in town.
Hotel seemed to be out of everything was unable to get a blanket for the sofa bed so. No extra towles. So of you stay hear you better bring any extras you may need
Carpet filthy-told management who said they are negotiating with 2 carpet cleaners. Example-white sox turned black with dirt after a morning walking only on carpet

Came in late, front desk greeted me by name. Guess I was the last to ck in. Room was clean, smelled clean, and was cooled down. Bed was comfortable and pillows were soft. Only there for nite, had meeting in San Antonio. Breakfast was sparse, but what expected. Wasn't to open until 7, but they had it ready early. Good for me. I needed to leave by 7:15. "Comfort Inn & Suites, San Marcos"
The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and smelled pleasant and the bathroom was spotless. Even though my room was right next to the breakfast area, it was sounds insulated very well. Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent, free or not. All-in-all, it was a great nights stay.

"clean and comfortable"
Room was very clean, linens and bed comfortable. Plenty of towels.

my only 'issue' was that my room backed up to the Breakfeast area and the TV could be heard from my room well into the night.

"GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL ONE OTHER TIME, AND CHOSE TO STAY AGAIN. WE WILL CHOOSE IT AGAIN. THE PEOPLE AT THE DESK ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
"Beware of Road Noise"
If possible, ask for a room away from the interstate as it is very noisy. The breakfast was more than the usual free breakfast fare...very good selection of hot and cold items. Location was between Chili's and Luby's, so some restaurants were within walking distance. Overall a good stay after three days of shopping!

Great location, close to restaurants, grocery store, library and San Marcos Outlet Mall. Breakfast had a good variety of choices. All the amenities worked (Internet, refrigerator, microwave). Housekeeping was a little lackluster. Overall, good for the money.

"Needs Improvement"
There was a peculiar smell in the hotel, especially in the halls. It smelled like something had "soured." Other than that, it was difficult to reach because of its location. If you missed the turn-in, you had to go very far out of the way to reach the hotel.

The hotel has a nice breakfast that is free for customers. Also, the hotel staff keeps the breakfast area clean (which does not always happen at other hotels).
