The hotel smelled very bad, the staff seemed to be "special" to say it nicely, the Gym was a joke, had a $200 tredmill, a bike.... in total maybe $800-1000 worth of equiptment, when two people where in there is was crowded, the Gym was next to the kitchen with the only thing seperating it was a false wall. Good location. The tiles in Shower and Bathroom needed the grouting cleaned. Small bathroom. Bed was too soft. Restaurant was not sufficiently staffed and could only get a poor Continental Breakfast.

We booked the officially categorised 4*-hotel "Punthill North Shore" for 4 nights at the year-end and we were very disappointed! Checking the address "472 Pacific Highway, Artarmon" will show you in GOOGLE-Maps a totally different position then it really is, it is much farer away from Sydney-Center then on "Maps" that's a missleading of the customers […] !!! Public transport (train-station Artarmon) is about a 10-minutes walk from the hotel and can't be done with luggage! The room was rather small, the TV broken, I had to repair it by myself. The bath was also not "OK", broken tiles and the shower-holder was not tightened to the wall ... At the 1st and 2nd January there was no room-service ... The "continental-breakfast-buffet" (it hardly can't be named a buffet) will be closed exactly at 10:00am ... Finally I will and can not recommend this hotel to anybody, it's rather a 2-3*-hotel then a 4* and for this price I got much, much more during my visit in Australia !!! Läs mer

The hotel rooms we stayed in were quite nice and the staff were friendly. The only problem was the location. The hotel was difficult to get to as it is on a busy highway. We drove in from the north and the hotel is on the other side of the road. To get there, one must navigate around some back streets (which the GPS does not do if you type in the address). […] We made the mistake of making a U turn. We did not know that in NSW U-turns are never permitted at traffic lights. Of course there was a policeman waiting ready to catch us. i stayed here as i had surgery and had to return early the next day for post surgery check up. the staff at Punthill were most helpfull.

Upon my booking i was promised a 'city view' & had a carpark. The kitchenette was literally a kettle. I also payed extra for 'breakfast' which was crap! the hot breakfast consisted of hard eggs even though soft were requested, 2 slices of bacon, half a tomato & 1 sausage overall the brekkie was rubbish would of been better off going else where. The […] price of the room would of been ok if the hotel lived up to 4star quality! BUT IT DIDN'T! I WOULD RECCOMEND YOU STAY AT A CHEAPER 3 STAR AS YOU WOULD GET THE SAME QUALITY HOTEL Läs mer

The hotel was confortable, but was entirely too far away from downtown Sydney. The description on Hotels.com said it was close to the downtown district, but that was not the case. The train station was a 5 block walk, and it gets expensive to ride the trains back and forth each day to get into Sydney. The cab fare to and from the airport is much higher […] also as the hotel is further away. The chef at the hotel restaurant had injured himself so the restaurant was closed while we were there. Had a great stay. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Handy to Chatswood Shopping Mall. Would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, clean and even though it is on the busy Pacific Highway we had no traffic noise. The way the the building was built the traffic noise was blocked out. Food good and service good.

So, the hotel was functional. There were clean beds to sleep in and our sweet had a kitchenette which was convenient. That's all that was good. We were in a two bedroom suite, each of the two bedrooms had it's own keycard and so you couldn't walk around your own suite without carrying a key. The card readers keptmalfunctioning so we would get locked […] out of our rooms. In addition, there was a slight issue with my booking and the front desk staff was incredibly Rude! I thought I was being punked, I've never experienced that kind of rudeness at a hotel ever! There were reddish- brown stains on the bathroom wall that looked like dried blood but I'm not sure what it was. There were only like 5 TV channels and the maid only came by once a day. So if you were still in your room, they didn't come back later, you just missed out on getting your bed made or clean towels! Finally, the spaciousness and modern look portrayed in their pictures is laughable! It was cramped and NOTHING was new. To top that off, the location is decent but the hotel is on a very busy road with nocrosswalk for 200yds in either direction, so you have to really take a hike just to cross the street or you J-wal at your own risk! In town for business for a longer period of time, I arrived on a windy rainy day. Not only the 3 people at the desk did see me dragging my bags but they were as unfriendly as you'd imagine. they did not say "good morning" and just pointed the elevator without any further help. Good hotel, but some way out of the centre of the city. 10 minute walk to public transport and local shops and restaurants.

This hotel is conveniently located to Chatswood Shopping Centre, Lane Cove shopping strip and Artarmon train station. All are within short walking distance. Great place for families and those without a car.

The room is comfort & clean. Worth living.

Although a nice hotel, not really close to the sights in Sydney. Had to walk six to eight blocks in residential area to get to train station. Light was out in bathroom over sink and was never fixed.

Hotel exceeded my expectations. Great location and great service. Definitely deserves the 4 stars.

Punthill - odd name, horribly difficult to get to on the highway with bad gps instructions. Great design in the rooms. Double sheeting, very comfy beds but i would expect a 4 star hotel to have plunger coffee available in room not just instant. Points for having milk though!

Lækkert hotel med gode værelser, men minus er, at der er ca. 30 minutter fra hotellet og ind til centrum med tog.

J'ai beaucoup aimé séjourner dans cet hotel, très propre, très confortable, personnel accueillant et disponible, bien situé car à 10 min de la gare à coté d'un grand centre commercial. j'ai eu du mal à en partir ^^ Fortement conseillé !
